I actually kind of like it. Manastorm is absolutely awesome. If they decrease level of randomness in the future, it will be great

All I can say is my runs keep getting better and better.
I know full and well my first character was insanely lucky. I just went with defensive stance and tactical mastery since they were provided first time around and got a few good clear abilities.
Now that I've opened card packs I can start builds with more synergy.
Then now that I start with more synergy, good finds become better than before. Now I'm hitting level 25 with leftover rerolls.
Now I've managed to score a build with 3 abilities deriving from Drain life and 3 Drain life talents maxed out.
Then on top of that, I have darkness which procs from the damage of all of my 3 drain life abilities. Shadow dagger and Blood arrow are also dots that I dont have to channel so I'm just launching free instant shadowbolts like crazy.
Then I ALSO get 190% spell crit damage? Then I ALSO get Soul Sunder?
It just keeps getting better and better the more I play. No limits is crazy.
They do need to improve RNG to lean in a direction you want more for sure but man, after the first run to 60 it takes off.
I'm now on Manastorm level 71 and the rewards and challenge are staying good. I've started regularly seeing loot goblins that drop 3 purple items and massive amounts of gold.
Sorry you had a bad first experience, crazy the dice ability thing didn't work for you. It's a fun server, people who don't like rng of designing your build, I get it, but Area 52 server is for them. I like both. The Manastorm on Elune is so Meta, it's like Torghast but fun. Without that Elune is ok, but imo Manastorm makes it worth your time, plus BG leveling is super fast and always busy.
I would definitely like to keep playing on it (this time for real) and seeing how it really is, definitely tons of interesting features and so many people around!
There's a reason why companies have welcome launchers for their games. It's to make sure you get the correct update.
Well, if it updated me correctly the first 2 times, I could have enjoyed the game 😓 but it only worked on the third try

Ooooh I remember when this happened. Yeah they WERE having some client issues. They were updating it not reinstalling it. Its just worded weirdly. I was working through most of this but caught the tail end of it.
Shame you had a shitty experience, I've heard other people in the past have had trouble with the client although I've never had issues myself, but that can be added as part of one of the overall cons of the server. The 2nd biggest con I would have to say is the stability - it does crash. More than once daily in fact. It's back up very quickly usually within 2-4 minutes but it's still a considerable con. Would be cool to see you start adding pros/ cons when doing server reviews, hopefully you have a better experience next time :)
I was eventually able to get in and start playing so I hope to keep leveling on the server and have some fun on it 😎

The problem of the previous season is that everyone were doing damn 16k dps on BWL. Tryhard people ruins the game so hard, i was hardstuck at 3.3k dps with my casual build and couldn't compete with others, specially because they started to rise the recqueriments after noticing the amount of damage that could be done

wait, you get mad a private server has trouble with their launch when multimillion dollar companies like blizzard also make launch a shitshow. Then you post sarcastic video about a game that is actually good and better thought out than the real game, interesting way to get views :)
