Wishing you nothing but the best, looking forward to seeing more videos from you. I like the term "using my body as an amusement park". I went through that phase "if I do not come back bloody or bruised it was not worth going". I am a 13 year Navy vet, they taught me some bad habits.
Prayers for a safe and successful recovery. Love love your videos and your full honesty you crack me us. Great laughter !!! Thank you for your courage, bravery and service. As others have said, take your time we are all rooting for you. Sincerely 5:14
Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery. We’ll be here waiting whenever you’re ready to come back. I had a stroke last year aged 41. If it taught me anything, it was to listen to your body. It’ll let you know when you’re ready. Stay strong 💪
I’m now 75 and had quadruple bypass surgery 11 years ago. The absolute worst part of recovery was not using my arms to get out of a chair or roll over in bed etc. for 8 weeks! I was up and about after 2 days and out of the hospital in 3. Before I left, a nurse pointed at my chest and said, “It’s guys like you we see back here with a separated sternum because they try to use their arms. She was dead serious. I joined an online support group for bypass patients and heard a number of folks that had separated their sternum. That was a nightmare for them because at that point it would never heal! But, my recovery was amazing, and since then I’ve ridden 11,000+ miles on my bicycle. I really encourage you to try cycling if you can. It’s an almost perfect exercise since you can go from a walking pace to a flat-out sprint, and everything in between. My second piece of advice is to get a chest-strap heart monitor and either a phone app or other device to track your heart rate. If you do cardiac rehab they will help you find your “target heart rate” for exercise. You don’t want to push too hard, but the problem with most folks after bypass is that they are not pushing hard enough. You’re not going to blow out a graft, and eventually find the right level of exertion. Good luck and take good care of yourself. You won’t regret it. If all goes well, it’s like getting a second chance at life.
Hey Tony... wishing you best of health.. it's April 16th so you're off the table and in recovery/ICU. Hope you are doing well.. that things went successfully and you aren't going stir crazy. Rehabing will suck. Lean on your friends and family. take care. David
How did I miss this one! As you commented on my video just today, I guess you came out on the other side. Been trough some major suregry myself in the last 10 years. Just take it slow, and work you way back slowly, specially when you start to feel stronger again!
Got a few funny looks when I got well enough to help my wife with the shopping, and she had to carry all the groceries to the car, me following empty handed, hahaha
Well young man Open surgery goes well for you Have your wife in hand with a GoPro or a cell phone Capturing the moment when you come out of surgery and able to at least eat something which might be around 2 Days later I know of 3 people already had that type of surgery first person with my father second person with my uncle and my brother brother And I think there's a fourth in there my other uncle So smoking kills in one way or another Don't know if you ever did but My family yes

I'm watching this 3 days later, so I'm sure hoping that everything turned out positive for you. I'm pulling for you.

I’m currently 11 days post-Op. still in the stage where everything sucks and everything has to be done for me.
@@TonyHogrefe I hated that. I was not allowed to carry anything heavier than a milk carton, lol
