I just discovered these documentaries, and it’s honestly the perfect way to find some closure after they pulled the Xbox 360 Halo servers. I’m 27 years old now and Competitive Halo was my entire childhood.
Would be a waste to have him as a coach especially when he's better then most players. I feel he only got dropped cause Trippey him and APG were filling in that support role and they just had to get another damage dealer in formal.
It's insanity that pistola is not second. Snakebite and Lethul are amazing and deserve to be super high, but not above ola. It's not like he fell off after H3

It's fair to say Lethals success has come after H3 when the standard and competition has dropped. Nothing against lethal, but that stat you mention doesn't hold much weight for me

Does anyone else remember Ola getting a perfection on Champ Sunday at an H5 event? Coliseum Slayer on his birthday, I don't remember who the other team was.
The current Esports orgs in Halo Infinite failed Pistola. He was performing extremely well and they gave up on him. I miss him, he's one of the best ever. After everyone gave up on him he completely left the internet and ghosted. I just hope he's alright and hanging in there.
You know that friend who is always in the right place at the right time, he almost seems lucky and it's effortless? That was Pistola in halo, and I'm not saying he was lucky.. He had insane skill, but he would always be in the right place at the right time. He manifested those moments.
Imagine if Ola would have won that 1v1 National in 07, or the 4v4 National in 09, or the 1v1 Global H4 event in 2013; this man came very close to having an argument for #1

The major definitely holds WAYYYY more weight and ultimately will be remembered as the first real tournament. But the first and second HCS tournaments in infinite were won by Optic.
I think now that Ola probably is going to end his career, the halo scene will not be the same anymore. He’s just a part of it, or at least for people that watched him since the H3 and Reach days, we lost one of the best and he will be missed for sure. I hope that he becomes a caster or something like that. We need him still involved with halo honestly.
Go re-watch some of the old halo 3 mlg footage. Pistola basically carried whichever team he was on to victory. He was an extremely consistent player. How is he not top 2, or even first? I miss the days when teams would actually stick together...It seems the majority of eSports teams now change out players or completely disband after like a single event...Back in H2 days when Final Boss would be together for an entire season, Carbon, Str8 Rippin...Maybe after a few events there may be 1 player change but for the most part teams stuck together. If you go to the esports fandom page and check any pro player, there is going to be like 30-40 teams they've been in on the last 10 years..
