    Great job! I enjoy watching every single video
    I am a former mechanic, now working as a pilot for an airline. But honestly I miss my old job a lot and all the interesting technology who comes with it. My true passion is to make metal chips!
    My future project is to start my own business with a machine shop. Hopefully within the next year. I used to program with the TopSolid CAD/CAM system. Autodesk Fusion 360 got my interest when I watched your videos. Now I learn how to program in fusion 360. So far so good and I am very happy with the software. Now I try to program 5 axis parts in fusion 360.
    NOW MY QESTION IS: Do you have a software to simulate your CNC programs with the exact same CNC machine? So you can make sure that the tool and spindle won't collide with any other part of the cnc machine.
    Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

      Hey! Just search for [machine manufacturer + "virtual machine"] on Google and you should find what you need. We use the Index virtual machines and DMG Mori got virtual machines as well. Hope this helps you:)

    Awesome job! I know Kennametal is a sponsor but if you get the chance look into Capto couplings as an alternate to KM couplings. Kennametal makes them too.

    • @TITANSofCNC
      @TITANSofCNC  6 лет назад +1

      The Capto is a pull back... and the KM50 is a ball lock. Very similar but the ball lock takes less damage if you ever crash and the KM50 has more rigidity as it compounds out, away from the turret. Both are great.

    • @dansecord383
      @dansecord383 6 лет назад

      From what i have experienced capto wears better over time. Also there seems to be a bigger selection of tooling now that the patent expired. But agreed both have their advantages.

      someone else I mean I get it if you don’t like the German wrapper on the machine (I personally like all of the ergo features they’ve improved on). But inside it’s still straight Mori from way back. We literally have this exact machine on our floor, and it is extremely heavy with full box ways in X and Z with very powerful and fast servos. The Celos control is just MAPPs V on Mitsubishi, not really much of a change from before the DMG acquisition. This Machine is just as heavy duty as my 1984 MV45... both built in Nara in fact. I say all that to say that I think ‘cheapened’ is probably a poor choice of word for what you don’t like. I’m not trying to be argumentative, but I personally just don’t see any quality reduction for the sake of profits from them.

    @TITANS of CNC: Academy "Dumb" question here... A lot of the metals that you encourage people to learn and learn well are hell-atiously expensive ? No ? Like the Ti-Al-4V … Or inconel / special nickel alloys; on your teaching programs / academy are you hooked into any metal suppliers that folks could take advantage for a discount (in the USA) ? Just an idea/ thought.

    • @TITANSofCNC
      @TITANSofCNC  6 лет назад +2

      In our Free online academy.titansofcnc.com we teach with aluminum on all lower level CNC series... but as we progress into Aerospace etc... it naturally is going to higher materials and tighter tolerances.
      TMS Titanium has been very good to our students.

    • @extradimension7356
      @extradimension7356 6 лет назад +2

      Awesome will check out TMS (Thanks!). Always good to stress the FREE part ;-) What you save on lessons you can spend on more challenging materials (when appropriate). It all works and hangs together nicely.
