Southern drivers sign it as sometimes they need to use it for shunting or to berth trains in an emergency/disruption

Use to be a regular move and driver still had to be trained to go in there. But the need to go in the loop became less and less over recent years

Same here , this 377 came into platform 4 than left ECS to go into the Loop and was worth filming
