Was anyone else hoping for the hack to be a story of Mario climbing the steps into becoming a member of the United States Senate or was it just me?
Well, he's already taken over Japan (if you remember the prime minister came out of the green pipe and the red cap), so if anyone's taking over America, it'll probably be Sonic because of the shitty fanbase.
Now you make me want to see a hack where Mario makes his way to enter Trump's abducted immigrant child camps where Mario beats the shit out of him to save the civilized world.

I’ve had a similar idea for a hack of SMB1 on the back-burner for a while, maybe I should polish it up? I’ve already done some sprite work that turns the Goombas into Klansmen, making jumping on them even more satisfying.
I'd rather see a hack in which you get to stomp on Goomba Soros and Hillary Koopas

I really enjoy this one, the creator knows how to make the hack fun and not ridiculously hard at the very beginning. Understanding level design and introducing mechanics gradually.

Look up Lunar Magic by FuSoYa, it's a Super Mario World hack editing program. It's pretty intuitive to do most of the simple stuff.
If you end up checking it out let me know if you get stuck on anything, I'm happy to help with hacking questions!
Rather than continuously creating mediocre short hacks, would it not be better to create a complete hack with a decent story.

The Mushroom Kingdom is clearly an outdated form of monarchy. Also, toads are born to be slaves and they all look the same as an analogy to communism. In Koopa's Kingdom, at least, turtles are given a choice, to serve in the army or to be free to live in any of the 8 Worlds (without passport).
