Just take a moment and imagine how wonderful it would be working at WRT as a mechanic. You work on these beautifully complex GT3 cars in a clean garage with music playing. Splendid 👌😍
I find the race cars all taken apart very interesting. Should take tim along and do a full video. Interesting stuff to see the differences between full race car and road car.
I would love to see more racing content, just being in and around the track when I was there with the DTM race was awesome and think about it every day.
Awesome content like always Misha! So cool to see up and close these racing cars, would love to see more coverage of them racing, can't wait to see you in one of the Fun Cup Cars and also the secret turbo project. And good shot! YAS!
Yes!! Want to see more vlogs about racing and still wait for vlog with ice cold Moritz about his gym and overall training for racing :) Thank you Misha. Mayby i will be able to go to Nurburgring this year. See you later. (How about Racing school with Misha??) :D :D
i would love to see more about and behind racing! like a month ago we got the RS3 in Forza Motorsport 7, not bothered yet to drive it but now i see this... i have to give it a go!
Cool vid! Love to see al those race prepped cars! Brilliant to see the Pvc pipe functioning as a air duct!😂 I'd love to see more racing content, but it shouldn't replace Nürburgring content and TF car spotting content please! 😋
Newish RS3 TCR cars are going for about €100k, for Bruno's info. Pocket money! TCR is quite cool, but there's annoying limits on what cars you can enter ( no RWD for one thing ) - BTCC in the UK has fairly similar regs but a little more room for innovation, unfortunately it's also a bit more expensive. IIRC the Spa 24hr Citroen race is a bit cheaper - maybe you could do a segment on that later this year, perhaps some other grass roots series in the area too. When you mentioned going to WRT in some other vid it didn't quite click that you meant *that* WRT... nice surprise.
I definitely didn't thought that WRT which I know from Blancpain were behind those beetle creations. You learn something everyday I guess. Are they so quick because they always go to quick to grab some foodshot? Foodshot 02/10
Fun fact its actually first organic product that has been made from inorganic materials. Ammonium + Potassium cyanate + heat = Urea So in nature urea is literally piss, but Adblue is made from 2 chemicals and its not actual animal piss.
always up for some DTM content and can someone get them to return to donington park dtm is not good at brands hatch they need to return to their original uk home track
Haven't already customer teams participate in the DTM Series during the 90's? E190 Mercedes and Opel Omega. I think the entire Opel participation was because of customer cars.
Some facts would have been nice. Power, weight, type of tires and suspension, lap times compared to other classes, what`s adjustable and not and so on. Racing is interesting, but much more so when it`s explained by someone who really knows.
The Fun Cup is a one-make racing series created by Franz Dubois in 1997 in Belgium. The cars are identical, 130 bhp, 760 kg (1700 lb) Volkswagen Beetle replicas with all major components sealed to ensure the cars are technically identical and of equal performance. The tires are a standard road radial which is specified to the series, and is run in both wet and dry. The series is renowned for the competitiveness of the racing, as well as the friendliness and ease in which one can enter the races. It is, however, known mostly for the cost of entering; the Fun Cup is one of the cheapest options to involve oneself in motor racing. Cars cost around £29,600, which is usually split between the drivers. The races last mostly between three and six hours, split between a team of two or more drivers, so driving time in the Fun Cup is more than 8 times that offered by other series.[1] There are Fun Cup national series competed in the UK, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the Canary Islands, all of which combine in the 25 Hours at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The pinnacle of the series, the 25 Hours at Spa, is one of the longest continuous motor races in the world, with a grid size in 2006 of 152 cars. The grids are now capped at 155 cars, which is the practical limit of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
We are currently at the 3rd Gen (Evo 3) of the Fun Cup which is powered by a 2 liter VW direct injection engine making 172hp for 780kg min empty weight. They are 3 championships : France, Belgium and UK with 430 cars produced to date, and still more than 200 running in the 3 championships. Most of the competitors come together in a 25 hours race at Spa run in mid-July with between 110 and 130 cars starting the race. They are one seater and two seaters type cars which have a separated rankings, two seaters being heavier and having to take passengers ;). Basically every car are the same, each engine is dyno tested to make the same power and each chassis are the same, tube are laser cut and precision welded by AMP Belgium in Stavelot (next to Francorchamps). Tyres are road or semi-slicks and championship based, France is on Yokohama, Belgium in Hankook and UK on Giti. Only adjustable parts for setup are suspensions and wheels. The goal is to have a reliable and cheap to run entry level race car. Basic maintenance (filters...) is based on VW road parts so you can even find the parts at your local dealer. Regarding lap times, the car are doing 2min55 at Spa-Francorchamps. I think that covers it, don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions ;).
@@924patrik Only differences are the options on the car : Paddle Shifting, Power Steering, Bigger Display, Powerboard control (see the difference between the dashboard of the first car on the video and the one on assembly line with the Powerboard on the right)... for a great amount of undisclosed cash money you can even get a hidden turbo ;) :D
Depends on the class, you could have a "shitbox" racecar but still participate for loads of fun with 6 people to share the costs. Then it is a lot less.

The RS3 TCR's rims, is the red Audi badge always exactly opposite of the air valve?
I was surprised by how loud the TCR cars are, most GT3 cars have way less volume
Any motorsport that you show us make for a great video.

What engine & and transmission those VW Fun Cup use?
Fast VW and Audi’s? Hell yea! We don’t mind you not speaking from time to time. Just showing this raw adult material can be enough! 😂

James Bond had an passenger ejection seat in his Aston Martin back in the mid 1960s. This is nothing new.
Misha what racing are you involved in this year? Will you be racing?
I will be, an announcement will follow soon!
What about the Golf at the end?
Riders On The Storm intensifies
Thanks Misha;)
Yes please. More real racing content. Hey, here's an idea. Replace ALL drift content with REAL motorsport content? Or at the very least, food shots!
