Glad you enjoyed the New Forest, it's a great place to ride. The beer van at the camp site comes from just around the corner where I live, and I think they brew the beer at the pub. The way outback is its name. That's very tasty too.
The New Forest Ponys are wild, they are rounded up once a year and the foals are branded to match their mother. They are owned by people who have the right to graze them on the forest. The halters may have been reflective as many ponys are killed each year by pratts speeding. Please stick to the speed limits while in the forest. Another great video JE thanks
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos! You have inspired me to go out of my comfort zone which has been triathlon and try new things. I have fallen in love with bike packing and now I have some new girlfriends that we do all these cool rides together! Thank you!!
Im happy I discovered you. And we have the same stem cap! Though mine is on my enduro hardtail, I don't own a gravel bike yet. Such a long wait until September
New forest National Park I knew nothing about, really pleasant gravel bike event in such an exquisite area; the trails seemed quite attainable too. Hope it has been and enjoyable one 🏞🍺 😃
If you love gravel cycling than you should visit. I got few videos from NF but it is not such popular subject on RUclips to be honest, which is shame. Lovely place. Only better is Exmoor National Park
You need to do next years Surly Dorset Gravel Dash , starts and finishes in Swanage and is 100 miles of off road trails . I would recommend the 50/50 2 day trip with amazing free camping and food !
Looks like a great festival, You are so lucky to have such great gravel rides, we just don't have as much in Ireland. Mind you I hope someone will correct me on that! Great vid and as always its left me with a smile :)
For extra excitement try using these tracks for shortcits, like the one from Godshill to Fritham, on a roadbike with 23mm tyres at 100psi. Note that there also free roaming cows, donkeys, goats and pigs!
Gutted that I had to miss it because of a family emergency...Brother in the Wild is also worth checking out in The Purbecks, due to happen in September. The Woods guys are involved in that as well I think.
Couldn’t help noticing your really cool comfortable looking handlebar set up on your bike in this vid’, please could you tell me more?, great video, will try to get down there next year!…..
Well I would like more of this kind of gravel here in Portugal. Sometimes it is not easy to plan new routes because there is too much sand. Still fun tho we most appreciate what we have.
Its not usualy " gravel" in the Uk......but mud on unsurfaced roads, traditionaly called green lanes. New Forest is a well drained area due to the type of soil but is not typical of the Uk. Most country roads are surfaced ...officially but are usually full off potholes, loose tarmac and ruts due to poor repair of surfaces, weather, etc etc, so almost what some would call gravel.
@@rule3036 it is true I can’t complain much about the wheather and can ride all year outside. But love fish&chips and the places Juliet shows us in her videos ✌🏽
Hey Juliet, if they’re comfy for you then they’re correct 😀 But just in case, your redshift drop grips are in the wrong position. They point 45 degrees up, ie. towards your headset, not 45 degrees down towards your hub. Apologies if you like them how you have them 😀
Probably find a large reason for the change of format was actually locals complaining. I live nearby and the NIMBYism in the New Forest, A NATIONAL Park is ridiculous. Beyond New Forest event called off this year after complaints. To be fair there are lots of gravel routes and you must stick to ones designated for cycling but there’s loads of them
i love you juliet e. but you need to live in my world we find it so hard to pay bills .and you get bike stuff for free . i see all your youtube stuff it makes me happy that you keep so happy . good luck my lover.
So many of us find it hard to pay bills. Juliet receives a bike as she promotes the brand. It’s like you getting paid and having a company car for doing your job. Also getting some bits for free doesn’t pay bills.
I know, I realised this after I posted the video and feel bad about it. Wish I’d got better footage. Struggling slightly with a few things at the moment so messed up
Had a big problem with my microphone so apologies for the terrible audio! Thanks for bearing with me, I’ll get it sorted for next time
that bandana is so freaking cuuuute! where did you get it?
Also, i like how you're always promoting bike friendly businesseses
Thanks, it’s made by Ultraromance

I love it when you say "Hello", to the animals you ride past..👍

New Forest Ponies are not fully wild
Great Julie Elliott Video, Great share
I love the New Forest! Plus, it's one of the few places I can persuade my two young daughters to ride with me, just for the ponies!

I’ll totally fangirl if I’m ever overtaken by you at an event too😂
Brilliant!!! The New Forest my next trip !!! Thank you Juliet for inspiration on every episode.
Love your rides Juliet 🚴🏼♀️👌
👏👏👏👏👏👏 Looks like very nice gravel! Beautiful riding! It looks so much different to gravel riding in Canada! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Another great video! Thanks!

Great location Juliet. Love the Ponies
really living the dream Julie😎👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now that looks like a good weekend
A short ride she says.................. 40 miles off road is a decent ride in my book, gravel looks lush there! :-)
Now that looked like a good time. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
That looks good fun! Nice fast gravel.
Another great fun video…
Thank you
Such a beautiful place...perfect weekend
Glad you enjoyed my home turf. It is more bumps than hills though the climbs can be a bit of a grind when they have had the big forestry trucks out
Watching the tour and Julie at the same time! Lol
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love it

Cannot beat a bit of Forestry Commission terrain. Last Wild horses i saw were on a off ride road over the top of Hergest Ridge !
You have been watching Dave’s videos and changed the set up on your bars!! Looks like some nice riding. 🤙🏻
Haha, no, I’ve had mine like this since before he did that
Yeah, I gotta find out more about those.
It’s so pretty
New Forest ponies ! Theres lots of them... I live very very close... how did i not hear about this meeting?
What are those really chunky bits at the end of your drop bars Juliet? Any advantage to having them that way?
What kind of grips do you run at end of your drop bars?
Greetings from Germany
They look like the Redshift ones Dave was setting up in his video last week☺️ They look comfy.
Redshift
hey where do you get your fantastic bandanas?
Well I would like more of this kind of gravel here in Portugal. Sometimes it is not easy to plan new routes because there is too much sand. Still fun tho we most appreciate what we have.
Stick to Portugal , its a lot better weather, and British food is crap.

Who makes the shorts your wearing? My wife loves them.
Another great video. Would you think about leading a group ride on ZWIFT?
Is your mic OK? It sounds like a hailstorm in the background? Great video as always.
Nope. Sorry!!! It’s screwed

You’re mistaken, they point down not up

Juliet! Sorry
Please don't be offended , but Juliet you have the best legs !
What's the story on the earrings? Is this "standard" gravel ride/camping wear? :)
The ‘story’ is that you can wear anything you like to ride a bike!
@@JulietElliottsChannel Very good then. :)

Haha, can’t look a gift horse in the mouth!
Covid restrictions for outdoors should not exist by now.
