Thanks for offering this detail on sugar’s s2k! If I had an S2000 I’d be happy to rock some ‘sugar works’ carbon bits 😛 what a great car, I love his approach: save weight, add aero, tune the suspension, keep the écu and high-km (for japan) f20c, and strive to drive that sub-minute. He’ll do it!
Yes, it is. I brought my own car in to Kent Works to have a one-off made as well. Watching the guy take measurements while the car was up on the hoist and welding each piece to make the whole cat-back was really interesting to say the least. Thanks for watching!
Something tells me Sato-san’s car will have a either a K-Tech, K1 Labo, or Arvou spec F-series engine next season. I asked him already on FB and he replied that he prefers more power to get under 1 min @Tsukuba.
Sato is so close to to breaking into the 59's! It hurts me to see him so close every update! This time he's closer than ever, but he's a dedicated man to dialing in that suspension before unlocking that ECU! As a fellow S2000 driver, my thoughts are to Suga-M-san : )!!!
1 minute flat on a stock powertrain? That's mighty impressive! Perhaps upgrading to a true motorsports brakes would help cut down the lap time even further.
I too wonder about this. In the US spoon calipers are generally regarded as a show piece but I’m wondering if he notices anything more than better brake feel.
Hello. Please, tell Sugar-san that he's a racing monster. :-) I've assembled a pretty similar setup of S2000 in a Gran Turismo game. I've made a lap in 58.9 only on the softest racing tires. Road-Track type of tires gave me only 1:04:5. In director's mode computer made it in 1:005:4. Maybe, if I knew rating of shocks & stabs, I could made it in a second faster. The setup of a car is very interesting, I really like it's behavior in the game.
@@ShuBoxInc yes please! A review to the engine and setup (like you did for sugar) will be great. Your videos are like video Option Magazine but you go deeper. You are doing an excellent job! I learn a lot with your videos.
That dry Carbon bonnet makes me laugh as german. 😂
"The place, finding the luck, when i come"
Same. Must be some kind of hidden message in this gem 😂
Thanks for the translation.
I'll let Sugar know ;)
That's a good looking S2000, will going to prepare to race.
Thanks for watching!
Do the same type of video with the Arvou car!
Already in the works.
Stay tuned!
Thanks for posting this. I’ve been following tarmac meister for a while and had no idea so much effort went into this build.
Glad you enjoyed it.

I really loved this type of video, review of the specs, parts fitted, a little history / back story on the car and driver, great content.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hope to make more of these feature videos so stay tuned!
I’ve been waiting for this. Love the car. The ecu change will get him there. Shame he won’t talk to me on IG 🤷♂️
Let us know your IG username and I'll make sure to tell him to reply to you lol.

Too much camber on the rear for a one lap car?
What an amazing car👌🏻
Sure is.

Let's see what happens when the time comes to upgrade the engine.

Great looking car and impressive with just bolt-ons engine wise!
Yes, it really is.

Crazy how he’s doing all that on pretty much a stock engine
It's pretty amazing.

Very interesting i never seen e.g.: AEM or other home made intake (custom sized). Only stock or mugen or ITB. Can't be bought? too expensive?
Very nice !
What about the gear box ? Still stock ?
Thanks for watching!
The transmission is stock besides the 4.4 FD and Cusco MZ diff set up by OrangeBall.
We nee a follow up to that JZA80
Hope to feature in the near future.

What kind of catalytic converter does he use?
What is the current record for this track?
He can ditch out further 200kg. 59 sec is not a problem.
How do you suggest he gets out another 200kg? I would love to see your theory on a 900kg s2000
Even thenASM car weighed just under 1100kg?
@@scooper6257 At Attack Tsukuba Feb 2019 ASM s2k while setting new NA s2000 record weight 1020.5kg.
