This was surprisingly one of the trickier Histories videos, as Lou's appearances are basically all random jokes. And there's so many of them! So I kinda organized the back half into general topics 🤣
Why am I just now noticing Lou's Popeye forearms.
I would like to cast a vote for Blue Haired Lawyer. He's been in many antagonistic roles throughout the series, and I think it would be interesting.
Lou is NOT corrupt! He might engage in police brutality, negligence of his responsibilities, and corruption, but he does NOT put squirrels down his pants for the purposes of gambling!
Lou is cool because one time he turned his gun sideways
I like to think the Steve Sax arrest was pure incompetence instead of corruption. I like the idea that they believe all murders in NYC history were perpetrated by a single baseball player.
Has it ever been explained why Lou has Popeye arms?
I would love to see some Comic Book Guy lore. It always baffled me how he's both viewed as one of the biggest losses in Springfield, but also one of the most successful people. He has his own business, plenty of disposing income for his hobbies (like binge eating and collecting rare memorabilia) and is considered one of the smartest people in town. Yet he's so spiteful and nihilistic that he's can't stand to be around people, and people feel the same about him.
Rainier Wolfcastle could always be a solid choice. Man's been around long enough have his own semi-coherent movie within the series, and is just fun period.
Disco Stu needs a history from you.
Bake ‘em away, toys.
Wiggum: 'Lou, you're promoted to Simpsons Histories subject'
"Can I see your club?"
My favorite Lou interaction from the Simpsons Movie:
“Actually Chief, it looks like a RealJims video.”
Chief Wiggum: “Shoot out the tires, Lou.”
I am once again vouching for a Histories on Mr. Dewey Largo, he is so non-existent in Simpsons discussion to me. Nobody ever brings up their favorite Mr. Largo moments. Hell, does he even have many notable moments outside of “Nobody likes Milhouse” and “This is not a dream”?
off-model Lou looks like a Hey Arnold! character
For some reason I found Jims singing 'bad cops, bad cops' very cute
"Even when they're high as kites, they can't stop bickering with each other."
