- In today’s video we’ll share a little snippet of rural mountain living in Argentina, and we’ll show you what a quiet weekend at home looks like. Since it’s autumn in the southern hemisphere, we’ll also share the recipe for a hearty stew with potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots. The temperatures are starting to drop around these parts, especially in the evenings, so we’ve been craving warm, filling dishes.
We’ll also take you for a walk around the village and explore some rural back roads. We’re making it our mission to walk one new road each day, which has been a great way to get to known this charming mountain town a little better.

i recently moved to a rural area and the foxes come close to the house as well. i could only hear them but had no idea how they actually sound so i didn’t know it was a fox at the beginning. not the sound i expected at all. we got way more jackals than foxes around here though, not sure how they get along. it’s pretty great listening to the wildlife come alive in the night… a marten visits almost every night. had no idea how it sounded either, then i checked on yt, and the marten actually heard that and responded. the only thing i don’t like are the mosquitos and scorpions… doesn’t seem there are any bugs where you are which is pretty cool
I know what you mean! I didn't expect foxes to sound the way they do either - kind of screeching and high-pitched, but they are cute to look at.
I too put a spoonful of sugar to cut the tomato sauce's acidity! I learned it from my mother.
Same here! Also learned it from my mom. Makes you wonder how many generations have passed down that cooking trick!

We do have internet. It's a bit slower for video uploads than we're used to, but it's fine enough for checking emails and surfing the internet. Also, a good excuse to spend even more time outdoors!

Hi Sabrina, so cool that you also have little fox friends in your area. To answer your questions, this would have been filmed in May (we're always a bit behind real time with editing), and the nearest airport is Pajas Blancas in Córdoba (then it's under 2 hours to reach us in the mountains).

Foxes here are a beautiful Red/ginger here but a lot have issues with their back legs they get hit by cars😞it’s sad and people are mostly not nice to them but I love them I think they are super beautiful intelligent kind fun and I love that you are smitten with them too. Our dog looks like a little fox! We also have 3 cats and I love the fact that you love cats and dogs too.
This new “book” you are starting is super inspiring and fascinating I would love to be able to do something like this back in my home country of France 🤞🏼 since we live in my hubbys country of England.

We do get snow up in the sierras, but it only lasts for a day or two. Not quite like the Canadian winters we're used to!

The big question is how to transfer money from euro or dollar to Argentina? Legal bank transfer occurs only at the official rate which means big losses! How do you transfer money from Canada or the US to Argentina to develop your property?
The best way for anyone travelling to Argentina is to bring USD and exchange that at the 'blue rate'. Your money will go a lot further.
@@samuelandaudrey This is good! For tourists, I see no problem. But if a foreigner buys real estate in Argentina or makes a business project, then this is terrible. It is very dangerous and possibly illegal to bring tens of thousands of dollars in cash into the country. I don't understand how Argentina wants to be successful with such financial isolation.
I'm not throwing any shade, you yourself said you're not a cook. If you get that place up and running and start renting out the rooms, make sure you hire someone to do the cooking. 😂
