Inspiring story, not everyone gets to create a new software category. 5:49 "We didn't need the cash" So Vanta is competing with new entrants and isn't patent-protected. This is typically when you would need cash for doing marketing. Unless of course you can build other types of moat around your business, such as making your software a platform and accrue network effects.

That this founder would be the ideal woman for lots of developers does a LOT for this company. That's no offense to her or the devs. She's simply a driven, nerdy, pretty woman who is building a business for the benefit of customers and who in the tech field wouldn't want to support that? She'd be wise to keep being in lots of RUclips videos - she's got star power for the tech world.

There is no way a compliance automation software is going to be worth $1B. All these enterprise software automation products are going to be a race to the bottom, as costs to create these just plummet.

5 years from now she'll be dragged across TV screens like Bankman-Fried & Elizabeth Anne Holmes.

I doubt. She has a working product. And she made sure the product reached market product, took about 5 years, fit before asking for funding.

I don't think Bankman-Fried was a horrible person. He was just naive and young and lacked proper managerial skills despite all that he was genius and knew how to make money. Holmes was a fraud no other way.
