Jeep should throw one in there as a ~$200 option, cheap enough that it's not a huge price for people who want it, so people will buy it, but those of us who want analog gauges can get that.
Have you ever seen a center digital display go out that sits between the analog gauges? I’m sure there has been a few but it’s not even talked about over the past 15 years+ they’ve been used.

Maybe a 5.7L standard in the gladiator, and figure out a way to add the sky active roof. Also, LED lights standard, Auxiliary switches standard, wireless car play standard and 35's standard on the Rubicon and Mojave.
The gladiator needs to get cheaper. Not going to happen by engineering a past engine into the gladiator. The straight 6 maybe would work but it’s already in the ballpark of the pentastar so why reinvent the wheel?
The reason is the Price added $25k over 2-3 years ago. It need to be 50% off, the wrangler Recon will cost over $70k and who can afford $1500 a month payment .
14:45 1976….i was 10 years old and, always, my mom took me to the new car show in the mall. Back then that’s what they did. All the local dealers showed up at the mall with the new models. They need to make a v8 option for the wranglers and gladiators at around 50-60k price range, the 100k plus 392 option is insane and not what most people want.
4xe was a terrible idea on the wrangler platform. The two concepts don’t mesh. $40k extra for a v8 that comes in a $50k Ram is ridiculous. They could’ve sold a lot more 392s if they hadn’t priced so high. Just my 2 cents. Love the channel guys!

I know a lot of people probably don’t want this but how about a 5.7 or an old 4.7L v8 in the wrangler. It would be fun but a cheaper alternative for the 392.
Americas most wanted has been proving you can put a 392 and bigger in the gladiator for the last few years now, come on jeep!! I’ve said it before, even just the 5.7 or similar. Hell, fit the hurricane inline 6 in there as an option too…that thing is nuts in the RHO. With Tim back, I think we’ll definitely see some positive changes 🤞 Early happy Newyears DRC!
I think color options are one of the biggest things they could give you and just a straight gas option. If you look at some other brands again, they have five colors white gray silver black stop we want colors.
I still want a JTT but only 27 made and the price is out of my budget, I wish Jeep would offer this option I think many 2dr Jeep owners would definitely be interested.
Diesel and V8 in Wrangler and Gladiator - 6 and 8 speed for all powertrains, maybe even the 4XE. Edit: Rubicon Sport - all of the off-road goodies without all of the fancy stuff that only drives up price. 4XE 2 door Paint matched fenders and roof _available_ on all trims
Living in California, there are only 4xe wranglers on the dealer lots and they just sit because nobody wants them. If you want a gas only option you have to order it and very few people are aware of that process. Getting away from the influence of CARB (California Air Resources Board) will help. At least 14 other states follow those rules.
Yea living behind an iron curtant state like myself I see the same thing. I think most dealers aren't telling people that they can still order gas (because they have these 4xEs sitting on the lots.) Massachusetts is almost like California except our weather sucks most of the time.
I had a '21 Gladiator Willys that was essentially a lemon, the head gasket went 3 times in 6 months and I only it for 11 months. It was a dream car for me. After the dealership really pushed a Grand Cherokee 4xE on me so I reluctantly made the switch. I had buyers remorse within 3 months. I have tried for months to get back into a Gladiator Willys again but the dealerships I have worked with in PA are all over the place with pricing. I am holding out hope for a Fathom Blue Gladiator Willy's but there seems to be no timeline for them.
Great vid. Jeep wouldn't build my 2024 Sport S with the 6 speed manual as I wanted ( in Canada). so soaked me for the auto. Thanks DRC. Happy New Year!
I challenge this man to reply to my comment and show me one example where 2024 or 2025 Jeep Wranglers are being discounted 20-30%.....It simply does NOT exist! I have not seen any dealer give any incentive over $8000 off on a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.....Seems this man has a biased relationship with Jeep, maybe because he sells aftermarket Jeep parts!
Yep. Order what they want. Many 4xe are taken because they can’t get anything else. I went Bronco for exactly that. Too bad for Jeep…. Had a TJ with 125k miles, and a JK with 295k miles-lived ‘em both.
Thank you for keeping us up to date with the upcoming changes and the good the bad and the ugly of stellantis. Keep the content coming and I look forward to seeing the 25’ two door build out!
Better security is needed on Jeeps. I had my dream vehicle 2023 Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition. It was stolen from in front of my building. I had it for about 9 months. Loved the diesel and it had every feature/package I wanted.
Thank you Matt for calling it like it really is. I am so glad you came out and said the 41 edition in 4xe only is "STUPID", I couldn't agree more! I know I've said it before but I will keep saying it until it happens. 392, LONG BED Gladiator. Give me these 2 options. I have a 392 Rubicon; that's my "fun" Jeep; give me a truck that I can actually, somewhat, use as a truck. Toyota and Nissan are offering long beds; why aren't we???
Jeep needs a few things to fix their image: 1. Most critical - bring prices down. The prices are just INSANE. OK, sure, the Grand Wagoneer is a luxury vehicle. The Wrangler is NOT. Jeep needs to get it through their thich skulls. The average Jeep owner is a low-middle class American, not a lawyer or Wall Street guy or gal. These people don't buy Wranglers. 2. They really need to up their game on quality. No more corner cutting on QA, no more crappy software, no more 'Just Empty Every Pocket'. Jeep needs to go back to simple and overbuilt designs. 3. Make the correct trim packages - hardcore, stripped down versions without bells and whistles, but with all the practicality and off-roadings stuff, and the premium trims with all the plush stuff. Allow people who want better prices to pay for what they want and NOT pay for options that they don't need. I don't need a digital dash or even electric windows on a Wrangler, but I want lockers!
You lost me at digital dash. A big no thanks from me. I like the dash exactly like my 21 Rubicon and am not a fan of the new 2024 dash with the acid washed jeans look.
I recall you had us sign on something for you to meet with Jeep marketing team. Did that happen? If you manage to meet with them please tell them to bring back the "hand crank windows", and eliminate the annoying auto start-stop feature function.
Just brought myself a new 2023 2dr Wrangler. After I locked in a price, I told them I was buying cash. I couldn’t believe they wanted me to finance at least part of it. I said hell no, I want my truck paid in full.
I find it strange that the basic safety package is not standard. I think every brand has blind spot monitoring standard.. and it's really needed in the wranglers. Agree with the V8 in the Gladiator.. i'd also not mind seeing the new Hurricane in there. Hoping the 4xe version ends up being similar to the ramcharger. Oh.. and prices need to drop big time.
Agreed, '41 Edition exclusive to 4XE is just plain stoopid... Electrified Jeeps are truly a niche market, therefore, not a part of a recovery plan. Taveris' finger prints will be seen on several new models, including the new little e-Jeep. It may sell in Europe, but North America and Australia will be a different story.
I've been looking for a new Wrangler 4-door for several months. I've never owned one. I finally found a new 2024 S model 4 door, 6cyl, auto trans. MSRP $48,155. After some negotiating, I got them down to $39,000 OTD. I haven't bought it yet.....But is this a good deal?
@@jpdrummer86 Thank you so much. My biggest fear is that in the next 90 days, I see the price drop so much that I wish I had waited. I'm in no hurry. I'm 62 and this will be the last MAJOR purchase of my life, and I want it to last until I die.
There are 14 states in addition to California who mandated California’s CARB rules, thus pushing the 4XE. Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia. The rules are tighter each year. It’s not just the 4XE, diesel trucks will be harder to find as well. Larger chassis 4500/F450 chassis trucks will need to be newer to pass the quarterly diesel emissions testing.
I feel like they’ve pretty much given up in Australia, but would love to see a US spec Rubicon down here, especially with a 392 option👌👌 If they made available a US spec Rubicon Xtreme Recon, 392 in Snazzberry with colour matched roof and fenders, I’d buy one in a heartbeat!
Yea for me the packages have too many extra bells combined with what I want to get, I'm waiting till they fix it. Black, 2 door, soft top roof, darkest allowed tint, front and back cameras, 35 wheels, screen with blue tooth audio and screen mirror for phone, start stop, remote start, power windows and locks. That would be about it the rest I would customize on my own over time, but there's so many extras that come with those features that I actually don't want to get it. bonus 1: They should set up hybrids to be all elec, all gas, and accel assist option. That regen option seems like a waste. That would motivate me to get a hybrid for work. bonus 2: An option with three piece roof that has soft back and the two smaller front lightly tinted clear hard pieces with UV protection. i'd easily buy that.
I have PREACHED to my rock crawling friends what you did at minute 07:30ish. Jeep would have already vanished if they ONLY built for the rock crawlers. The fancy mall crawlers is what keeps Jeep alive.
Exactly, you need to sell so many mall crawlers to have positive cash flow so you can build the 392’s or when available the diesels, the recon packages etc . Harder core guys like the rockers , mudders , overlanders make up a smaller part of total sales . Gotta keep the boat afloat to make the good stuff 😁
Think your right that the recon and wrangler 4xe buyers will shift. When you can take the doors off and have a one touch top and then have a good range, then the wrangler 4xe owners will shift to recon owners. Especially if you make the recon do 100% of the trails that a bronco can do. Then the wrangler goes back to the original crowd. Wrangler 4xe had had a bunch of issues lately that have plagued the platform. It will be interesting in how they make sure the quality is not an issue on the recon. The comment about the 41 Willy’s being a 4xe and taking it back to charge. Remember it has a ICE motor in it. Still runs on gas when the electric is out. I think that they want to sell more 4xe’s for carb credits to help offset all the vehicles that they are penalized on. This 41 version helps them with that. I think you’re right the v-8 will be back. Would be great if they put the 5.7 as an option on both gladiator and wrangler. 392 could still be the high end hp/tq option but give the people what they want with the v-8 still.
Jeep needs a Paint to Sample program like Porsche has. Let us pay extra to order one with some old colors like Alpaca Brown Metallic or Wedgewood Blue. Heck add in current & old Dodge & Chrysler colors. 2026 models need to bring back that Turd Brown CJ Renegade color
When the rubicon 4xe hits about $25k I will buy one. 30k for a 6cyl. Else I’ll wait for the good hybrid coming in the new Scout. I doubt the Recon will provide enough value/price balance to get me to sell my JT.
Nothing warms my heart more than seeing all the base model wrangler sports sitting at dealerships for months on end not selling because they are listed at 70k+ 🤮
What I am really curious to see is the hurricane strait six turbo dropped into both the wrangler and gladiator. I suspect that one might be way more popular than the v8. Especially if it’s lighter than the v8.
Jeep needs to drop the weak transfer case they put in the Rubicon X and 392, it runs on a clutch pack system that is guaranteed to fail at some point and if it fails out on the trail where you need 4WD to get out you are screwed!
Make a two door 41 edition with gas engine and tan soft top. Put the new rumored V8 or 5.7 HEMI in the gladiator, and make it affordable, it would have the power needed and probably get better mpg than 2.0 or 3.6 Here’s an idea. Make a special denim edition wrangler and gladiator, kind of like the Ford denim machine van from the late 70’s. 😊👍🏻
What's coming in 2025 for the Jeep Brand?
Happy New Year from your boys at Dirt Road Cred

Amen
Price has to drop, period.
Big time. Need a mid 20’s 2 door
5.7 hemi in the gladiator would bring the gladiator back alive
Agreed. The hemi should be an option in every single dodge/jeep platform.
The only why I’d trade in my ‘22 Gladiator is the option to drive off the lot with a 392 Gladiator.
Screw a digital dash!!!! This is a recipe for more electrical issues. I want less electronic that can go bad.
I love the analog gauges will hate the day it’s all digital

Plz put a V8 in the Gladiator and make it a reasonable price.
Offer 5.7V8 power in both the Wrangler and Gladiator and price them reasonably-unlike the $100k 392. Great power trains sell vehicles.
The Gladiator needs a 392 V8..... !
And not cost 150k. Cause that’s how much it would cost to for sure.
Heck, I'd settle for 5.7L V8 at this point.
@P1_M1ND I agree this needs to be a $2k-$5k upgrade, NOT a $20k-$30k upgrade.
Yes I don’t want to pay 30k extra to engine swap it.
That & get something better than that dopey tiny, aux battery set up. Do a factory "Genesis dual battery" option

RHO (Removed Hellcat Option) at this point I won't be picky with color I will repaint it myself or wrap it give me the V8 glad
100% on the gladiator
No wrangler is worth 100.000. The end of Wrangler Jeep taking bets
Totally agree! Love the 1941 Edition, but I will NEVER buy a 4xe. And this comes from a JL Diesel owner!
Bring back a diesel.. maybe the small cummins that nissan used. Or maybe the r 2.8.❤
Exactly, and with a manual, not that stupid 8spd auto!
The 5.0 v8 Cummins wouldn’t fit the weight rating.
The 2.8 from Cummins doesn’t come with emissions so it wouldn’t pass.
392: 60k ,rubicon recon fully loaded: 45k, Willy’s recon: 35k… set those prices and people will buy.
Another great video. Was wondering, the wall behind your filming, is that wood, you put on the wall. Looks great
Think your right that the recon and wrangler 4xe buyers will shift.
Wrangler diesel needs to return
21 miles on a charge sucks wrangler is to expensive sorry 79.000
The JK was a modifiers dream. It seemed like Jeep went out of their way to make the JL harder to modify. Most Wrangler owners want to tinker!
People are not going to buy 70.000 Jeep Wrangler again sorry
What about a Hard Rock edition?
Would be great to have Jeep heavily involved in the all breeds Jeep show. They had to move the York Jeep show to Carlisle Fairgrounds a few years ago.
Jeep needs to drop the weak transfer case they put in the Rubicon X and 392, it runs on a clutch pack system that is guaranteed to fail at some point and if it fails out on the trail where you need 4WD to get out you are screwed!
I want a v8 gladiator
Bring back the base model Rubicon 392
Make a two door 41 edition with gas engine and tan soft top.
Put the new rumored V8 or 5.7 HEMI in the gladiator, and make it affordable, it would have the power needed and probably get better mpg than 2.0 or 3.6
Here’s an idea. Make a special denim edition wrangler and gladiator, kind of like the Ford denim machine van from the late 70’s. 😊👍🏻
We had A77CJ5 renegade blue Levi's top. Wish we had that back!!
Why can't I configure a 2 door Rubicon V6 with Auto transmission on the website if it's available?
