    Look for the AF-10 Super if you want control over the flash. The Super has a swich below the lens for flash on, flash off and fill in flash. However, closing the clamshell resets the switch to auto flash. So you have to remember to set it in the mode you want every time you open the clamshell cover.

    I have an MJU ii and an Infinity Jr (AF-10), the AF-10 is more fun to use and the photos are as good...beautiful camera for street photography.

    Good video buddy! Can you pls advise on how you recorded your computer screen? I need to do so for a planned video for my channel but the suggestions found online ain't working well... Thanks bro! 🙏🏾

    • @OldCameras
      @OldCameras  8 лет назад +1

      +NigerianFoodChannel Thanks!
      Yeah, it's quite easy on the mac. You fire up Quicktime (inbuilt recording app) and select "New Screen Recording" from File menu. You can opt to record the whole screen or just a section of the screen. If you choose to record a section of the screen, it will let you draw a rectangle around the area you want (as if taking a screenshot). That's it. When you're done, it will let you save it as a video. It will also include any audio from a microphone or line-in while doing it.
      On Windows, you need software like Camtasia or Snagit. I think Snagit is free.

      +Old Cameras Thanks a lot buddy! Snagit worked well for me. I've just uploaded a video with the outcome. Cheers!

    Another RUclipsr, oly 35mm, pointed me to look at the AF-10 to get some possible information on how my camera works, an Olympus O-Product, as I do not have the instruction manual for the O-Product. I found a copy of the AF-10 instruction manual online and looked at it carefully, and it does indeed seem to be that the AF-10 internals is what's in the O-Product. Apart from the core components, the O-Product seems to be a more stylish redesigned and repackaged AF-10.. even the detachable flash is probably the same, it just is separate and can be removed from the camera body.
    Anyways, just looking around for more information the AF-10 as it appears to be basically the same internals as my O-Product.
    FYI, I know it's just a fully automatic point & shoot camera, so why must I try to find the instructions?.. I just wanted to confirm how AF and exposure and framing my shot with the viewfinder works.. was not 100% sure if the AF point in the center was actually necessary to lock AF or would the camera completely automatically intelligently know how to AF lock onto my subject.. and there was a question about how the camera might meter and expose, and I believe it's independent from the AF point, it may possibly be center weighted, but I think it just averages or multi/matrix meters the entire scene and sets exposure accordingly.

      Hi there... thanks for coming over. Yes, Oly 35mm, awesome RUclips channel..
      Sadly I've given away this camera to one of my subs in a giveaway, so I cant confirm any of this for you.
      From memory, you can see framing guides in the viewfinder and a small oval (or rectangle with curved edges) in the centre of the frame which I assumed to be the focus point. So I'd say it's a kind of centre weighted focus.

    Good on you Ade. As always, you are informative and generous.
    For those that want one (and miss out on this giveaway) I can also recommend this camera from personal experience. If the 'no user control' flash bothers you, then look at the AF-10 Super that has a user control flash option.

      +Old Cameras: thanks mate. The photos are sharp and the colours are clean. I actually like using it more than the mju-II (Stylus Epic) as it seems to be more accurate with focussing.

    Hello my AF 10 write E or reverse 3 on the screen, do you maybe know what is it ? :)

    • @grishayampolsky
      @grishayampolsky 5 лет назад +1

      possibly the film was put in incorrectly

    • @maggie2267

      I believe that the E means error as in there is probably no film inside
