The Olympus 35 RC 35mm Film Rangefinder Camera was definitely my favourite camera a year ago. I've kind of lost touch with this camera a bit. It's been over a year since I used it. That special feeling I used to get when using it has dwindled a bit too, leading to photos that are not so exciting.
I took the Olympus 35 RC out for a casual walk about along the River Lea in east London (Hackney Wick and Victoria Park) and share some of the photos in this video.
The photos are in no order of *awesomeness*, but rather relevance. There are other shots that I didn't show because they didn't fit the narrative. Those will probably make appearances on Instagram at some point.

I dont know why, not only are your videos inspirational, i find your videos super zen.
I bought the 35 RC just the other day largely due to your videos on it and I am super SUPER hooked on it. I love your channel man and your voice as well is super soothing and you are a great narrator. Please continue making videos, you have a knack for it and every single film person is so precious, and I am certain that your videos are turning people to film more and more. Cheers man!
Impressive little camera, I'll have to try and find one to add to my collection of retro cameras.
quite shocked at first. happy ending though
Very nice story. Sometimes it happens that the camera we love most slides away from our life without a reason. The real pleasure is to bring it back in action
It's been nearly 20 years since I picked up my Yashicamat 124G. I've shot two rolls of Tri-X, and now I can hardly wait to get back out and shoot some more with it. It's like an old friend you haven't seen in a while, and all of a sudden, it's like you've never been apart.
For this style of cam, my fave was the canonette 1.7. But so many of this type were really good. And for all the pain, it's still the iiic types that are just a blast to mess about with.
Zuiko lenses give good contrasts and sharpness! I'm looking forward to my 35 SP leaving maintenance and being able to explore a lot with it, very practical for its size and weight I'm sure I'll put my Pentax k1000 aside a little more, I don't even know what to say about the lens I was so in love for the quality of the photos I see of her. Your videos are relaxing, makes me want to watch them again haha
Thank you for the insights!!! XD Loved the sitting on the couch, authentically fiddling with the cam ;-)) Best, Sunshine
I am trying to decide on a rangefinder so found your video great, I hope you managed another ten rolls of film 🎞 👍
I know this well... sometimes I need to force myself to spend some time with my "main" camera to not lose that connection. Love the calmness in your videos!
Nice images ,nice colors from ColorPlus film ,my favorite for quite some time!
I think like everything, times change and sometimes the enjoyment of shooting with one type of camera changes. I'm sure the more you use the RC, the more you'll fall back in love with it :)
love the photos, beautiful! 😍💓
I just discovered your channel. I enjoy your camera reviews and your passion for photography. I look forward to watching more. All the best! Jim from Georgia.
Thanks for the video man. :)
Good job on this my man. For some reason I could never get into rangefinder cameras but because I've never tried one I bought a rollei xf rangefinder see what the fuss was about serious it has a planar lens images are great. After shooting many rolls with it I realize why I couldn't get into rangefinder is because the viewfinder doesn't show so beautiful out of focus areas the the way and SLR or waist level finder does. I'm glad I tried it though and it's definitely much smaller and silent. You are correct about spending time with a camera to master it
Cool bro, I just bought one today, it looks really cool.
Haha for a second I thought you were going to go the direction of my video on one camera one lens.
Long time I thought that my Praktica BC1 is my favourite camera. And then I got a Werra 3 with a Tessar lens. This little rangefinder is very beautiful. And I bought a Canon A1. So much better than the Praktica! Now I test some rangefinders. An Olympus XA, a Yashica Electro 35 GSN (I have to repair the POD) and a Canonet 28 (I got this one as a present). But I think, my Werra is my favourite camera.
