  • Red Sea Aiptasia-X Guaranteed, Reef-Safe elimination of Aiptasia.
    Aiptasia-X is a unique, thick adhesive mixture that globulates on contact with the aquarium water.
    It is easily injected near to the oral disk of the anemone and stimulates the anemone to ingest the material without causing it to withdraw.
    Within minutes of ingesting the Aiptasia-X the anemone will implode, eradicating both the anemone and planulas.

    Thank You much for this product. Only ever had one small one that hitchhiked on a zoanthid frag but this killed it. Been a year and I haven't seen a single aiptasia since. Early detection and killing them young is crucial to longterm success though. You guys also make a great Test Kit.

    I LOVE AIPTASIA !
    I have 2 beautiful saltwater aquariums (55's) but with no live coral (I have totally realistic synthetic corals from a company in Florida). I get aiptasia from any fish store for free which makes a gorgeous addition to my artificial reef tank (making it look that much more realistic). And there's never been any problems with my damselfish, clowns or invertebrates. 😁👍🏻

    Nice vid! I have used it for a couple of months, and it´s rather effective. Just a tip for everyone using this product (or similar); Try to damage the surface of the aiptasia, like for example with a sharp needle. So the material can destroy them even better! I increased my success rate 3-fold with this technique, meanwhile I am nearly Aiptasia fee :D
    Regards
    Michael

      just poke holes through the mouth with a needle? or more of a slice? also how far down does the tip need to go in the Aiptasia before injecting? Thanks

      +Steve Moser I would not recommend it, as it would induce stress breeding. Just follow the instructions and prevent a possible outbreak in a matter of months.

      +Red Sea so does the tip of the needle need to be inserted in mouth of aptasia or just right in front of it?

      As you start the drip, no. as the anemone starts taking it in you can.

    I don't know if the anemone pest I have in my aquarium is the same of this video. Mine is sort of translucent wine/violet color. They're small and retract very fast, instantly, reducing its size to an almost invisible dot. How could I kill them then??

    • @Redseafish
      @Redseafish  2 года назад

      Slowly "feed them" with the syringe and don't get too close too fast.

    I have a small aiptasia on the bottom side of a clam. Can I use this and not harm the clam?

      @Redseafish  8 лет назад

      +stevie sowyuroats Yes, just turn off the flow and slowly apply to the Aiptasia.

    Just used this product last week in my tank on about 12 aiptasia. Next day I didn't see any aiptasia and I had a dead mantis shrimp! Assuming the aiptasia x does not go well with my bad girl that I no longer have! Now around every spot I dosed with aiptasia x I have 5 more aiptasia. So much fun.......

    now when the aptasia dies and releases the eggs, won't the eggs just hatch onto a new piece of rock?

    • @Redseafish
      @Redseafish  7 лет назад

      Not when using Aiptasia-X. It seals the moth and keeps the eggs inside.
