My Copperband is an aptasia assasin, took 3 days for him to clean up m 6 foot reef, left him in for a month to make sure all was gone , then moved him to my 4 foot and then to my cube, since them i have lent him to two different friends and has cleaned up their tanks too. The hardest thing about CBs is getting through QT and tank transfer method and getting them to eat frozen mysis, the trick is to use a black plastic tub for tank transfer and qt, or else they keep swimming into the glass once they injure their beak its game over. Getting them to eat is easy start them on frozen or fresh mussels and once they are eating them use one of the old shells and add two cube of mysis and some RO water and freeze and then into tank and CB is fooled into trying mysis. People always have trouble with CBs since working this out i have QTed a dozen or so for friends and fellow reefers, and when picking one from LFS look for one that is active and inquisitive and looking for food, stay away from skinny ones sitting in a corner, healthy CBs never stop moving. Nice vid good luck with your aptasia cull.

They work. Are expensive. Just be aware they have potential to actually eat bubbletip anemones too. Had a vat with aiptasia infestation, that also was housing, growing a number of RBTs. Aiptasia eliminated. But surprisingly over the next few weeks the RBTs started disappearing. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Nothing else had changed. So have to assume anemones no matter what genera are on the menu.
