omg, I'm OFFICIALLY out of the reading slump. June was a really great reading month for me and I'm here to share my thoughts with you all. 💖

I am the Sophie that Nickelle is talking about in this video.
I can honestly say that Nickelle is as lovely and as kind and genuine as she seems in her vlogs. I was so nervous about going to the book event, I am huge fan of Adam and of Gary and I sat down next to Nickelle and the rest is history. She was so easy to talk to and so engaged in everything I had to say and it is hard to find people like that. People that care.
Nickelle you told me you freelanced and Adam did dobe you in, but it is a good thing because you now have a supporter and a friend for life! I will forever watch your channel.
For anyone reading this, Invest your time in Nickelle's vlogs she is incredible and I was so lucky and privileged to have been able to spend such a huge amount of time with her.
Thank you Nickelle for being so wonderful. Also I am going to have to read Magnolia Parks now because I need to understand what you are talking about and make sure I stay away from BJ's ;).

Oh yes, definitely go in with low expectations! I would still recommend it if you just want something easy and full of drama. But yeah, it’s pretty down right awful. 😅

I ve read Magnolia Parks as well. I reallly liked your review, bc I also thought it was truely awfull. I respect giving it three stars, bc you re right, it was addicting.. but nonetheless I cannot understand the hype about it. Also really nice and important that you mentioned, you hope there will be some help for the younger audience to somehow reflect on the toxicness of the relationship. But thank you for the wrap up, I really enjoyed watching it ☺

Girl I missed you. I haven't been on booktube in a hot minute (aka several months) and you're always a delight to watch and engage with. I'm happy you got out of your reading slump!! I guess I've kinda been in one myself? I haven't really been interested in reading for basically all of this year, which feels a little different than trying to read and not enjoying any books, but I'm just getting back into it.

Hi Nickelle! I watched The Virgin Suicides when I was in school as a part of my movie club, really enjoyed it! Very well acted, can't compare it to the book unfortunately as I haven't read it yet, but I think you'd enjoy it ☺

I'm exactly the same with tv shows esp! I first watched Bridgerton last year and basically binged it and then Queen Charlotte (totally recommend that one it's amazing!!) which is a spin off! Lol as soon as you said Olivia Pope quickly left to start a firm I was like: "She was sleeping with the President!!" Love that I was right 😂 Wow 6 books is fantastic and I'm happy you got out of your slump! Also it is unseasonably cold!!! It's like autumn!! 😲 Wasn't sure how many books I have read this month but I have read 6 books as well!! 2 we're really short so I shouldn't be surprised but I really am!! 😮
Ahhh so glad you loved Bridgerton! Yes my colleague told me she sobbed at Queen Charlotte, I can’t wait to get around to watching that.

Magnolia Parks, thats exactly how I felt about it terrible in terms of the toxicity in the relationship, but I couldn't stop reading it. I also said it was like reading a MIC script.

I haven't read any of these, but I absolutely loved Queenie. I sat down to watch one episode then realised I'd watched six and had to go to bed!! I thought that actor that played Queenie was stunning and so great to see an actor with curves, I loved that too.

I as well was not impressed with Magnolia Parks and all the hype. I have all the books with the original covers ordered the series from Blackwell and don’t think I will be reading anymore of the series. Well let’s just say the rest is on the very very very bottom of my TBR and my TBR grows every time.
That top is stunning on you! And hard agree about Magnolia Parks. How is it so good/bad!?
My friends are so confused by my star ratings 😂3 is for an average read that might be good for someone else but is not exactly to my taste, 4 is for my great reads, and I reserve 5 for books that I can't stop thinking about and want to buy. As a person who still rents, the "want to buy" is a pretty exclusive club! You have to offend me in some way to get below a 3.

That’s a similar rating system to me as well. 3⭐️ isn’t necessarily bad, it was a decent book, but it just didn’t speak to me. That’s good that you borrow books, I need to sign up to my library because the book buying is getting way out of control. 🙈
