Which was really heartbreaking because he literally said that he is lonely and sad even tho he always appeared very bright and funny. @@SirAustin I was exhausted because we were there since 2 pm and the concert was at 8:45 pm. It was hot and humid and after 5 pm we couldn’t go to the bathroom because we would lose our spots. Barely having water, it was so packed that you couldn’t move at all. But when he jumped out of that box, all our pains went away. I did scream, sing, jump like if I was totally connected to him. He was gorgeous, like absurdly handsome, and that energy, that stage presence!!! Out of this world. This was the first time my brother experienced a BTS concert (or a member concert) and he was moved by the power of Army (the diversity in ages and origins) and he is now super fan of JHope. He says the other artists looked like kids performing at their high school and Hobi was a super star. It was amazing, a life experience for all of us. I have been in the LA concerts and seeing BTS is really a source of happiness, but this one felt different, like a rock star
Hope World came in 2018, it was at a time when BTS didn't post anything on Social Media and ARMY was really worried later that year we found out, that they had a really hard time and thought of breaking up, that's why is Hobi in the behind the scenes of the Daydream Video so surprised and Happy that all the members showed up. That's why Hangsang has a really special meaning. Highly recommend to watching the 2018 Speech of the Artist of the Year Award at MAMA. Another Song about that Topic is Outro TEAR by the Rapline, they all cried together recording and showing the Vocal Line that Song.
Hobi’s expression when everyone yelled “wild and free” back at him was just so special. He really looked so close to crying for a moment but had to bounce back and hype himself back up immediately. It must really be so special and touching, a song that clearly meant a lot to him, four years later, having never performed it or promoted it outside the MV but Army still know every word and support his solo projects with their whole heart. It must have been such a beautiful moment for him
actually when the mixtape got released blue side it was only 1 minute long, with the chorus and the last verse only, and then last year in the mixtape's 3th anniversary he released the full version of it, i think he thought a lot about opening so much about his depressed side, and I think he pass through this a lot, in lollapalooza he said he was so nervous and scared that he wasn't being able to eat, wasn't getting enough sleep, and said that when he got in Chicago he thought he wouldn't be able to do it and was in a "dark place" and then Jimin came to Chicago without telling him and hobi said that it was like a light in that moment, the boys are always there for each other to make them keep going!!!!
J-Hope is an extremely original artist for me, not only in k-pop. Hope world was a cool album but jack in the box is a masterpiece. Please also check out J-Hope's performance with IU, they are both very cute.

also to answer your question about Supreme Boi, yes he is a producer at HYBE, he was part of the original lineup of BTS trainees back in the early stages of the formation of the group. He worked on some of the older BTS songs and occasionally makes an appearance in the credits of newer work, but for the most part, he is producing for the other groups of HYBE right now.

The line about his rapping and dancing is so very true, listening to his verses. Bec of his background on streetdance, he can ride the beat like crazyyy and also he can switch flows like 4 times in 1 verse (song: 2nd grade 👀). I think as you learn more about the rapline, the more you'll understand how different their rap styles are and also their lyricism, esp in rapline songs like Outro: Tear or their solo songs in MOTS:7. Like their stories, their worldviews, are in their verses. They're just so amazing 🤧💜
I know I am late to this reaction, but I cannot wait for you to watch Hobipalooza, especially the Hangsang performance. I was there, and that was one of my favorite moments of the night. The whole thing was amazing, and I feel so blessed that I got to experience it in person.
Hope World is so important me. It's so filled with love and encouragement, and it has the power to lift my spirits, soothe my anxieties and make me want to dance even when I'm feeling low. Like you, I am so drawn to 2Seok. I just love them both so much. I can tell you genuinely care about what you react to and want to learn more. I'm so glad you started this journey and that I've subscribed to you💜 (Also, it makes me so excited to see how much you love my ult bias Hobi 🥰) You can really see the old-school influence in Hoseok's work. He grew up listening and dancing to 90's Hip-Hop and I feel like those influences have really helped shape his style of rap. You mentioned the lyrics "rap that's shaped through the rhythm of my body" and I agree that dance has played a huge role in his rap. When Hoseok raps, it's almost like his flow is dancing across the beat. I personally find his flow to be the most catchy of the three rapline members and something you can't help but bop along to. Hip-hop is a culture that is more than just rap, it also involves dancing, DJing, MCing, graffiti and fashion, so even though Hoseok only started rapping as a trainee, he has always been apart of the hip-hop culture through his dance. On top of his dance, he has this old-school hip-hop swag and style to him (he literally makes bucket hats cool again). You can also see the old school influences reflected in other songs he's produced such as Chicken Noodle Soup and Dis-ease. I also love the retro, funky pop art feel to his aesthetic (and even in his studio). It's so unique and in a way, I feel like he's carved out his own kind of unique brand. One thing I especially love about Hope World is that the way the songs are arranged is like we are literally jumping into Hoseok's psyche. During the entirety of the mixtape, from the repeating underwater sounds and references to the Jules Verne novel "20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea," we are encouraged as listeners to dive deeper into the inner machinations of the man behind the mask. We get to explore the surface-level public image of J-Hope as a character and his reasons for being BTS's hope. We then move onto exploring the contrast between the persona (J-Hope) and the person (Jung Hoseok) in Daydream. Then through Baseline and Hangsang, we delve into his passion and aggression, and as someone who is usually so humble, I love how we even get to see an element of cockiness to him as well in these songs. Airplane then transitions from the present-day adult Hoseok to him feeling nostalgic of a younger time when comparing his success today. Blue Side is the deepest, darkest reaches of Hoseok's personality. The side of him that feels sadness, loneliness and melancholy, a state in which he's alone in his mind to contemplate on his life. It is a song about nostalgia and finding that safe "blue" that he once experienced as a child but seems to have become lost as he's entered fame and adulthood. You can really tell that Hoseok wanted to experiment and try lots of different things out, and because of that, I find that each song is very unique and different from the next. It's one of my favourite things about the album, on top of the amazing production and how much of a bop the entire body of work is. I'm super excited for you to see Hoseok's musical progression in Jack In The Box, as well as the vulnerability showcased on the album as well. He truly is the artist of all artists and is so versatile and diverse in his talents and work 🥰 On a side note: when you get around to watching Hobipalooza, I would recommend finding a video that contains the entire performance rather than watching the individual song clips that Hybe uploaded to RUclips, as the Hybe clips don't include his intro and ending ments, as well as the speeches/crowd interaction he engages in between songs 😊

Supreme Co Wrote MORE, he is mostly Producing for TXT now. But he always works with Hobi they are really close Friends, he and Namjoon also recently went out Together. He also worked on Namjoons and Yoongis Solo stuff but just as a Producer, but he and Hobi write a lot together they did it on Hope World and also on Jack in the Box he is Korean but fluent in English too, He was one of the Original Bangtan Line Up, but he stayed with RM, Suga and J Hope. Did you get the Novel References in Hope World? Hobis Dad is a Literature Teacher, since they didn't have much money growing up, his Sister studied in the US and Australia and his Mom worked 2 Jobs in a different City, so she could pay for his Dancing Lessons, so his Dad always made sure he is reading. All 5 Novels, he is referring too, are escapist Novels.
Supreme Boi was a trainee together with BTS but kept producing instead of debuting in a group. He’s a HYBE producer, he also had produced songs for other groups like Le Sserafim. The only song that he didn’t perform live is Airplane and the full version of Blue Side.

Supreme boi was in bts lineup when in the beginning they was supposed to debut as a group only with rappers, then when bang pd decide to change the group and some vocalist came he decided to quit cause he thought that he didnt fit the concept, then instead he continue to work as producer in big hit and is credit in many bts songs. Hobi was so wonderful doing that show. He really was surprised with how much love he got. I think he is always a little surprised at how much we love him. Hobipolooza was such a wonderful gift. I wish I could’ve gone but I am so happy it was put out for us to watch over and over.
blue side for me represents childhood nostalgia colored in blue (longing/sadness). when he released the full vers, the lyrics made me cry. I related to them in my own way. it came out when I just turned 20 and I was struggling what it meant for me to be an adult. it made me realize the way I was, at that moment in time, was because my childhood was unresolved since I had to grow up really fast. theres like a lot to unpack there for me but this song, although its content is very sad (almost hopeless), the production and the musicality (esp the chimes) sort of package my negative emotions in a beautiful, scenic way. The sound is so soothing it makes me feel hopeful? its really genius how hobi seeps in hope in even songs like this.

This is my exact line too. Hoseok is my main man, my #1, my unshakable first in everything. But Jin has been my bias-wrecker since day 1 and that never changes either. 2Seok Bias/BW is a lifestyle.
I literally listen to Hope World top to bottom every single day. Usually on my commute to work but if it's been A DAY I listen to it to restore my faith in humanity on my commute home. The message and the music and HIM...they really give me a very healthy, positive energy that inspires me to be my best. I totally totally relate to your feelings about him too. Like I have his photo on my work computer and in my wallet too because just looking at him fills me with joy. I have OT7 photos that help too. haha. But it's a tremendously rare thing to find a person who can literally give you happiness and joy and HOPE just by seeing their face and picking up their energy. As you said, he's SO special.

In P.O.P. you noted the grittiness that turns into a harmony when he's talking about obstacles and hardship fading away and he's never said as much but I'm so sure that was intentional. He does that so often where the adlibs, the production, the delivery is all designed to reinforce the lyrics. It's so masterful. Not that anyone asked, but I think Hobi saved my life. I was in a VERY dark place and was watching the video for "Life Goes On," ready for my life to do the opposite. Then they showed the close up of Hobi's smiling face in the black and white portion of the video, and I suddenly felt like everything was going to be okay. (I'm stupid, but there it is.) He has that effect on people. I hope he has someone who can do the same for him, because he has sorrow and depression of his own. I think maybe Jimin is there for him the way Hobi is there for everybody else. Their Live after Hobipalooza was crazy touching.

Most people gave you all the info about Supreme Boi, but also interesting to note he was a school friend of Namjoon’s and they were part of some early rap crews when they were just young teens. Supreme Boi is also the reason for the Sexy Nukim collab, as he went to university with one of the Balming Tiger members and connected him with Joon.

One last thing - for Blue Side, the word he uses for the color blue (when he's not using English) also means like youth or adolescence. So it's a play on words where the "blue side" means back to when he was more naive and had less worries and fears and responsibilities. actually when the mixtape got released blue side it was only 1 minute long, with the chorus and the last verse only, and then last year in the mixtape's 3th anniversary he released the full version of it, i think he thought a lot about opening so much about his depressed side, and I think he pass through this a lot, in lollapalooza he said he was so nervous and scared that he wasn't being able to eat, wasn't getting enough sleep, and said that when he got in Chicago he thought he wouldn't be able to do it and was in a "dark place" and then Jimin came to Chicago without telling him and hobi said that it was like a light in that moment, the boys are always there for each other to make them keep going!!!!
J-Hope is an extremely original artist for me, not only in k-pop. Hope world was a cool album but jack in the box is a masterpiece. Please also check out J-Hope's performance with IU, they are both very cute.

also to answer your question about Supreme Boi, yes he is a producer at HYBE, he was part of the original lineup of BTS trainees back in the early stages of the formation of the group. He worked on some of the older BTS songs and occasionally makes an appearance in the credits of newer work, but for the most part, he is producing for the other groups of HYBE right now.

I know I am late to this reaction, but I cannot wait for you to watch Hobipalooza, especially the Hangsang performance. I was there, and that was one of my favorite moments of the night. The whole thing was amazing, and I feel so blessed that I got to experience it in person.

You can really see the old-school influence in Hoseok's work. He grew up listening and dancing to 90's Hip-Hop and I feel like those influences have really helped shape his style of rap. You mentioned the lyrics "rap that's shaped through the rhythm of my body" and I agree that dance has played a huge role in his rap. When Hoseok raps, it's almost like his flow is dancing across the beat. I personally find his flow to be the most catchy of the three rapline members and something you can't help but bop along to. Hip-hop is a culture that is more than just rap, it also involves dancing, DJing, MCing, graffiti and fashion, so even though Hoseok only started rapping as a trainee, he has always been apart of the hip-hop culture through his dance. On top of his dance, he has this old-school hip-hop swag and style to him (he literally makes bucket hats cool again). You can also see the old school influences reflected in other songs he's produced such as Chicken Noodle Soup and Dis-ease. I also love the retro, funky pop art feel to his aesthetic (and even in his studio). It's so unique and in a way, I feel like he's carved out his own kind of unique brand.
One thing I especially love about Hope World is that the way the songs are arranged is like we are literally jumping into Hoseok's psyche. During the entirety of the mixtape, from the repeating underwater sounds and references to the Jules Verne novel "20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea," we are encouraged as listeners to dive deeper into the inner machinations of the man behind the mask. We get to explore the surface-level public image of J-Hope as a character and his reasons for being BTS's hope. We then move onto exploring the contrast between the persona (J-Hope) and the person (Jung Hoseok) in Daydream. Then through Baseline and Hangsang, we delve into his passion and aggression, and as someone who is usually so humble, I love how we even get to see an element of cockiness to him as well in these songs. Airplane then transitions from the present-day adult Hoseok to him feeling nostalgic of a younger time when comparing his success today. Blue Side is the deepest, darkest reaches of Hoseok's personality. The side of him that feels sadness, loneliness and melancholy, a state in which he's alone in his mind to contemplate on his life. It is a song about nostalgia and finding that safe "blue" that he once experienced as a child but seems to have become lost as he's entered fame and adulthood.
You can really tell that Hoseok wanted to experiment and try lots of different things out, and because of that, I find that each song is very unique and different from the next. It's one of my favourite things about the album, on top of the amazing production and how much of a bop the entire body of work is. I'm super excited for you to see Hoseok's musical progression in Jack In The Box, as well as the vulnerability showcased on the album as well. He truly is the artist of all artists and is so versatile and diverse in his talents and work 🥰
On a side note: when you get around to watching Hobipalooza, I would recommend finding a video that contains the entire performance rather than watching the individual song clips that Hybe uploaded to RUclips, as the Hybe clips don't include his intro and ending ments, as well as the speeches/crowd interaction he engages in between songs 😊

Supreme Co Wrote MORE, he is mostly Producing for TXT now. But he always works with Hobi they are really close Friends, he and Namjoon also recently went out Together. He also worked on Namjoons and Yoongis Solo stuff but just as a Producer, but he and Hobi write a lot together they did it on Hope World and also on Jack in the Box he is Korean but fluent in English too, He was one of the Original Bangtan Line Up, but he stayed with RM, Suga and J Hope. Did you get the Novel References in Hope World? Hobis Dad is a Literature Teacher, since they didn't have much money growing up, his Sister studied in the US and Australia and his Mom worked 2 Jobs in a different City, so she could pay for his Dancing Lessons, so his Dad always made sure he is reading. All 5 Novels, he is referring too, are escapist Novels.
Supreme Boi was a trainee together with BTS but kept producing instead of debuting in a group. He’s a HYBE producer, he also had produced songs for other groups like Le Sserafim.
The only song that he didn’t perform live is Airplane and the full version of Blue Side.

Supreme boi was in bts lineup when in the beginning they was supposed to debut as a group only with rappers, then when bang pd decide to change the group and some vocalist came he decided to quit cause he thought that he didnt fit the concept, then instead he continue to work as producer in big hit and is credit in many bts songs. He and the boys still friends.

Hobi was so wonderful doing that show. He really was surprised with how much love he got. I think he is always a little surprised at how much we love him. Hobipolooza was such a wonderful gift. I wish I could’ve gone but I am so happy it was put out for us to watch over and over.
blue side for me represents childhood nostalgia colored in blue (longing/sadness). when he released the full vers, the lyrics made me cry. I related to them in my own way. it came out when I just turned 20 and I was struggling what it meant for me to be an adult. it made me realize the way I was, at that moment in time, was because my childhood was unresolved since I had to grow up really fast. theres like a lot to unpack there for me but this song, although its content is very sad (almost hopeless), the production and the musicality (esp the chimes) sort of package my negative emotions in a beautiful, scenic way. The sound is so soothing it makes me feel hopeful?

This is my exact line too. Hoseok is my main man, my #1, my unshakable first in everything. But Jin has been my bias-wrecker since day 1 and that never changes either. 2Seok Bias/BW is a lifestyle.
I literally listen to Hope World top to bottom every single day. Usually on my commute to work but if it's been A DAY I listen to it to restore my faith in humanity on my commute home. The message and the music and HIM...they really give me a very healthy, positive energy that inspires me to be my best.
I totally totally relate to your feelings about him too. Like I have his photo on my work computer and in my wallet too because just looking at him fills me with joy. I have OT7 photos that help too. haha. But it's a tremendously rare thing to find a person who can literally give you happiness and joy and HOPE just by seeing their face and picking up their energy. In P.O.P. you noted the grittiness that turns into a harmony when he's talking about obstacles and hardship fading away and he's never said as much but I'm so sure that was intentional. He does that so often where the adlibs, the production, the delivery is all designed to reinforce the lyrics. It's so masterful. The more you look into the details of the song, the more intricacy and complexity is revealed.

Not that anyone asked, but I think Hobi saved my life. I was in a VERY dark place and was watching the video for "Life Goes On," ready for my life to do the opposite. He has that effect on people. I hope he has someone who can do the same for him, because he has sorrow and depression of his own.
