Yeah, you never see them over here, definity not on the street. I'm happy I got it too🤣 I'll have more YCF190 videos coming for sure! Currently my favorite bike in the stable! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!🤜💥🤛
Hey brother!!! Question for you. After you modified the sprocket did you have any issues with oil blow blowing out the rear and coming out of the rear plastic over flow???
@@BPxGarage I know they had some issues for a while with overfilling the engine with oil. I have an oil cooler, so I think I run 550cc. No cooler might be 500cc. Just something to consider. I also have my CDI set to the lowest RPM limiter too.
I'd say the CRF110 is better for any stunting stuff. This thing is more for going fast and cornering. The guy I got it off of wanted to stunt it, but it's hard to control. He's been stunting for many years too, and played with the sprockets as well. Large engine in a small frame, I guess. I've got the sprockets geared way high so it's not as torquey and just now feel like I could mess around with regular wheelies with some confidence. CRF build quality is gonna be much more top notch than this YCF too🤘 I finally got it to the point where I felt good with riding on the streets like I normally do and the oil cooler broke, stress fractured at the mounting flange🤣 Hopefully after I fix that it'll be good.🤞
How many miles have you put on this engine? Like a rough estimate. Do you do a lot of maintenance, valve lash and oil changes on it? Eventually I will get a ycf 190/ either a big or small wheel and I’d love to dual sport it. Especially for when I go to Tennessee. As of now I have a modded grom. Potentially two stroke swapping it.
I think I've put like 15hrs on it. The valve lash has stayed rock solid. I change the oil every 3-4hrs. It always looks like crap. So it's not very confidence inspiring 🤣
So far so good, kinda. I noticed the oil cooler broke at it's mounting point the other day. The bend in the cooler itself. It's just thin metal at a 90deg bend with no reinforcement, so vibration made that fail most likely. Other components have been good. The oil isn't looking as good as I'd like it to for as many oil changes as I've done. I've built a shit ton of engines and it's way too much metal still. We'll see how that goes. That's really the only thing I'm worried about.
More fun?... definitely the YCF190! Yeah, I've got a few Groms🤣 Rode a Monkey, once. So nice! I just haven't found a deal on one, yet. The Monkey/Grom is a hell of a lot more practical though. I can jump on one and just go. Neglect it and beat the shit out of it and they just keep going and want more. The 190 is a lot more maintenance, kick only, just 1gallon tank, etc... Fast as fuck though and sounds amazing rolling on the throttle. I was into Aprilia SXV550s for a while and someone called them "Dessert Bikes". I'd put the YCF190SM in the same category. Not a main meal, but a great dessert😁 Check out my other channel @widefive for suspension videos for your Split Bus.
