Morpeko works, because its stats are not changing and Aura Wheel switches between Electric and Dark type. You can't really change stats on Great/Ultra because of CP limits, so implementing form change is only to keep us playing this game.
Exactly this. Most, if not all other form changes, include complete stat changes for that pokemon. This makes it hard to implement in the CP limited formats.
I think it wouldn't be that hard to implement, actually. One way you could go about it, is to take the current form's level, calculate the new Combat Points, and then adjust the level to remain under the cap if needed. There's probably even better ways to do it, I was just trying to say it's definitely not impossible, but the solution may vary depending on how the code was written.
@@mechacode8527 that would be too much work for Niantic though, and odds are, it would be buggy as hell. The current system of separate forms works fine. If anything, some forms just need more love, as in, better moves. I'd rather see Niantic putting in the effort to make more Pokemon viable in PvP and more moves usable. Also PvE needs some love, as Niantic kinda broke it. Dragon Ascent, Moongeist Beam and Sunsteel Strike are so OP, that people can just use them as raid counters ignoring type effectiveness entirely.
@@dcarvalho6144 You do have a point, yeah. I wouldn't mind seeing Aegislash or Palafin as two separate forms in the storage, the current system is definitely fine as is. So even though it's not impossible to do, and it's fun to think about the possibilities, it would be better if Niantic concentrated those efforts towards fixing the balancing and connectivity issues the game currently has.
I can’t believe it, they added Dynamax before they added Generation 8. -Granted there’s a few Gen 8 mons already but there hasn’t been an official release yet-
Mimikyu may be also implemented like this. That was one of my first thoughts. It’s disguise breaking possibly after it gets hit by a charge attack or something.
With the implementation of form change I wouldn’t be surprised if we get z moves after dynamax/gigantimax. This more or less would allow us to get ultra necrozma since in the main game ultra necrozma obtainable through a special z move.
It probably won't happen, has it increases the HP stat. Imagine Dynamax Chansey in the GL. Maybe for Master League, but even then it could deemed to OP.
I hope they bring bottle caps in Pokemon Go. Make it as rare as Elite TMs and can only be used to a pokemon with a certain buddy level and/or pokemons that are level 40 or 50
@@Seifer8 we get Elite TMs by playing GBL and participating during Go Battle Weekends, they can also implement that if they introduce bottle caps. They can even make it as rare as a Master Ball
@@Seifer8 The Master Ball ain't even locked behind paywall. Make it like a long time-gated research. Don't expect anything to be served to you in a silver platter, work for it you whiner
i think it would be more like until you get hit by 1 charge move. so basically dont shield a move - swap(?) and once its bacck in u dont need to shield the 1st move again, would be very frustrating to face.
Abilities won't ever work in pokemon go. But minikyu with two forms, a defence weighted one with less cp and an attack weighted one with more cp would be a good idea. Perhaps change with stardust

Don't forget that Niantic is not a gaming company and they are only using Pokemon GO to achieve their own goals

We definitely need that video going over the form changes.
Yes pls for the Form Change analysis!!! Love your content keep it up!👍🏼

I’d love to see a form change video!
It'd be nice if they made origin and therian forms alt to be swapped to similar to hoopa becoming unbound.

I'm very much excited for these new raids and form changes! Definitely gonna go hard on the new raids as i need something new to excite me again
Oh cool, form changes mid battle. Aegislash could actually work in pvp if they add King's Shield like how they're doing for Aura Wheel.
What if they let Zamazenta And Zacian change Form mid battle and also mega evolution while battle is on would-be cool to see that
Mimikyu could be interesting with the new form changes, it would be like having a 3rd shield depending on how Niantic implements it
I think you forget the most prominent form change in battel: Dynamax

Bottle caps would be awesome. Make them rare (maybe one a season?) and require them to be used on level 40 or above pokemon.
time to give regular castform all weather balls and add a form change to their respective types 👀
Niantic could do the stat change with the same code as shadow pokemon
What about Black&White Kyurem?
They're fusions like the Necrozma forms. Morpeko transforms based on each turn in the main series.
mimikyu being super bulky until you throw a charge move to break its disguise would be cool

last time we had a big change, we got uggly avatar.
Why so many bots in PvP channels?
It's all RUclips channels
Ugh bring Toxtricity to the game instead
They writing it seems to be rdy. It lagging as hell. This is rdy content? They should give up Pokémon go to another company that actually can dev
