Such a great video, I'm glad you did a voice over and empathized on important points. Nothing wrong with focusing on certain parts of previous jobs. Thanks FBSB.
This is GREAT!!!!! Love how skilled you are 🙌🏻... who needs to lug around a bunch of different tools when you have some that are universal... Keep up the Great videos and work
Much prefer the voice over it is way more efficient to have you work real time without breaking in with explanations. This is a very common quality increasing technique that works very well with your videos! It’s worth the effort thank you for posting❤
hi i am doing a laminate flooring and the railing is exactly like yours but thinner and i am wondering if anything that cover the gap between railing and laminate if it is curve like yours since the laminate does not go all the way under the railing since the bottom of railing is thin thanks
bruh, watching him clear that wood at 5:00 gave me a mini heart attack. i would def have used a jig saw but i guess thats cause i dont have huge balls like him haha.
Wouldn't a benchtop bandsaw or jigsaw be better for making those cuts? You can get yourself into a lot of trouble real quick doing freehand table saw work. It's not something someone without a lot of experience operating a table saw and doesn't understand kickback should really attempt. Also seems like it would be a lot faster to use a jigsaw/bandsaw.
eeguy77 A jigsaw would be great with a fine tooth blade on it so it doesn’t chip or splinter the wood and a bandsaw would be great if you’re doing it at your own home, but I by no means would want to lug my bandsaw to the job site lol
Excellent video, I would not use a table saw for cutting those curves, way too dangerous, I use a jig saw. You shouldn't say you're doing a voice over, it's irrelevant and you did it so well we can't even tell even after you tell us, so no need to say it. But good job on the video, Thanks. :)
No no no u put the pattern paper down around those spindles once mark it..stagger ur boards put the paper on once and cut once ...I do do this for a living every day lol...IT WAS JUST A TIP FOR YA👍
Good advise. Only thing I hated was when you used table saw. Put your hand too close when its running. At least take a wood scrap or a stick not with your finger
thermal 15 Nope, but I actually did take this from a Nother video that didn’t have any speaking in it, that’s why I wanted to clarify what I was doing, at the time posting this original video I didn’t know how to do voiceovers so I couldn’t explain what I was doing for my usual subscribers it may be a little monotonous but for someone searching on how to cut laminate or wood Next to a round wall or rail it will help
Spongecake Squareshoes Thank you and we see it a lot over here too and commercial bathrooms and stuff and I appreciate you saying that that I’m actually on my way out of the business I don’t have much longer doing this so I’m not gonna try to learn anything new as far as that goes I will still naturally improve on what I do know as I’m working but as far as learning other stuff like that I’m just gonna stick with what I already know because like I said I don’t have long left
Spongecake Squareshoes I have been offered a job with CF I to be an instructor I am either going to do that or just cut way back and only work a couple days a week and focus more on woodworking that’s what I do for a hobby and I’m gonna try to turn that into a business, after 27 years of this My body is pretty wore out so it’s getting about time to do something else, I love what I do it just hurts, I figure if I cut back to a couple days a week I could keep doing it for some years still
Spongecake Squareshoes I hear you, people who do flooring that have excessive amount of years such as yourself are usually skilled in a lot of different areas other than Flooring because Flooring is such a versatile job So you should be able to do pretty much whatever you want, as far as hands-on stuff, and good luck I wish you the best
@@PE9A3p4hUfwv I don't have to post a video to comment... I like FBSB. He just went about it in a complicated way (in my opinion) but to be fair, it's not like we run in to these rounded stair scenarios often. So, not a big deal.. relax
this guy is terrifyingly incompetent, I liked his flexible pipe idea, but he should have done that to start with and invest in a jigsaw, and he should be barred from table saw forever, lol, he got the job done thought.
Brilliant method on the round! Thanks, i'll use that one.
😀👍

AWSOME video. Thank you
Great technique, thank you!
😀👍
Why do you don't use jig saw for this? I think it is more safe.
Roma Tolstik You’re exactly right, it would be more safe

R Shinn 😂
I agree thats what i use and it helps save time.
Less clean up too lol. I all ways put a drop darp under my sawing area some the dust can be put in the trash without alot of sweep clean up
Where are you located
Rezk Rezk Manchester Tennessee
Great video! Have you ever considered using a pair of scribes to scribe to curve onto your boards?
shawn moore No sir but it is a great idea

@@FloorsbySouthernboys I was just thinking about one of those 9" benchtop bandsaws that are only about 30 lbs or so.
@@FloorsbySouthernboys you want the downward facing jigsaw blades that cut on the downstroke. Downward facing teeth I mean.
eeguy77 That would be perfect
thermal 15 That is a great suggestion
Thank you.
You're welcome!

Thank you

Use a compass , divider.
Wouldn't a paper template and jigsaw be better and safer. Great video though.
Pattern paper works miracles
Jerrid Hawkins I imagine it does, but if you do this for a living is to time-consuming to make a pattern for every cut
No no no u put the pattern paper down around those spindles once mark it..stagger ur boards put the paper on once and cut once ...I do do this for a living every day lol...IT WAS JUST A TIP FOR YA👍

Would you be able to demonstrate

Can I have your email so I can email you a picture and see if your method will work for my layout?!
I don't get it....why not place the plank as you did, and then scribe the curve once with a compass?
Why don't you make a video if you already know how to do it?
Thanks you gave me a good idea
toni guerrero awesome good on your project

I don't know everything in this world but I'm pretty sure we get a jigsaw you'll be much easier
Try using a jigsaw.
Thanks millions :)
OReefer Welcome
Sorry I meant dividers, their used when pattern scribing coved sheet vinyl
shawn moore I have never coved sheet vinyl nor have i ever heat welded vinyl, I have just never got in to that Area of flooring
