Knowing that Elijah Wood likes records puts a smile on my face.
Every couple months I watch this again when I need to unwind.
Elijah just displayed what has to be the opposite of manspreading.

Am I the only one who assumed this was Elijah's stereo gear? I just worked out he's at his friend's Zachs house. He talks about bringing records, asks how much the mug cost. Elijah owns a pair of LA Scalas, driven by Cary monoblocks.

Watching Elijah Wood pick records, it is the furthest from banal. I have seen wooden wisdom at Studio bar in Toronto as well as Atomic Lollipop. The small bar suited them better. The small bar was a crowd itching for good tunes and waiting to see what the DJs would provide. The entire crowd danced up and down to whatever pace they set. Watching Elijah Wood pick out records, seriously in thought to balance what Zach Cowie played, his look of concentration and then proud happiness on his choice, is the hottest thing I have ever seen. That is the furthest thing from banal.
True that! Wooden Wisdom duo has arrived to Poland and the swept me off my feet with their funk set. They call their tunes 'garage paradise' and played it at the Shakespeare theatre in my hometown. Wicked night.

Tell me Elijah Wood isn't living the god damn life. Enough money to be set for life, and using that money to enable the stuff that gives him joy. Buying records, listening to records, playing records, expanding your musical horizons, upgrading gear to get the listening experience even closer to perfect but knowing it'll never be so you keep going. Taking it easy. Drinking good coffee (and probably taking big pleasing shits because of it). That's the goal for me. Replace 'collecting records' with any hobby you want, and that's the goal. You want friends like this.
Let's see. First guesses. Mitchell Gyrodec, Transrotor TT of some type, Klipshorn's, MacIntosh control center and tubes. I don't know the brand. Phono preamp, I don't know either. Record collection slightly (slightly) bigger than mine. All very nice.

I bet they bought it because they were influenced by the most legendary owner of the Klipschorns David Mancuso ( who do we have sadly lost in the last year ) R.I.P David
Seems like the cartridge is Koetsu, so these guys are totally influenced by David, it is awesome, he was indeed the true genius

To be honest, if I really want an album, I'm going to get the compact disc. 📀 I have some vinyl LPs. But only because they were available at a used store I used to go to.
That's one hell of a collection.
Klipschorns - maybe updated with mods, Transcriptors turntable, Michell with SME arm, McIntosh tube preamp looks restored and/or modded. DHT Triode SE tube monoblock amps looks like Sun Audio Japan clones chassis-wise. The acrylic rack is flexing from the weight of the amps.. And a PWK mug from ebay. Interesting equipment choices from Frodo and his new Sam (?)

Could one of you gentlemen please give me some advice as to how I would go about selling my vinyl collection ? The collection is basically from the 1950's to the 1980's . The majority of the LP's have outer plastic sleeves for protection. There are also about 18 cases of 45's . Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
It appears he loved the Klipschorn and it seems to be a Clearaudio turntable. Tubes are the 300B's. Bascom had it on the wings of the Infinity IRS.
