I now have a new term to use when cooking or making drinks... lime carcass! This one made me laugh out loud. Amazing job on the chicken tacos. Happy Mother's Day to your wife and thanks for sharing that amazing recipe FTK family.
First off, happy mother's day to Amy! 2. Great shirt! 3. I'm the same way with recipes... Always just cook by feel. 4. That marinade is ON POINT! 5. These look spectacular sir!
I have cooked this chicken six times already. After watching your video, I bought some Tequila and got the chicken marinated. Got my griddle hot and now, I keep it made in the fridge. I honestly can’t keep enough of it made. Got my seventh batch in the fridge now. Thanks so much for a great great cook or recipe.
@@TheFlatTopKing I have to give you all the credit for the absolute best chicken Our family has ever had. Our family of three is absolutely nuts with your cooking and family. I can tell the world You sure know how to cook a great Tequila Lime Chicken. And the rest of you food is right up there with it.
I'm a lifelong resident of Texas, almost 60 , and hands down these were the best chicken fajitas ( tacos ) I have ever had. I have traveled almost all over this state and have had chicken fajitas ( tacos ) all over. We did add some griddled onions / red bell peppers with HEB chicken fajita seasoning . Also I tossed the chipotle adobo and sauce in the marinade , and let it soak in the marinade , then added the chipotle chopped to the sour cream spread . Also, fresh flour tortillas ( again from HEB ) I swear this is not an HEB pitch , but they make tortillas daily so super fresh . Mr. Flat Top King is legit !!!! He and wife should have a cooking show together, the chemistry is TOO good ! And this is a growing cooking niche.
FTK, Mrs FTK, Stumbled across you channel looking at new flattops. I have a very old 4 burner blackstone that I use several times a week. Really enjoy your thoughtful recipes and product reviews. Peace Luke T
So look - I made carnitas the other night and used an orange in them. I was making these today - yeah, Christmas, it was what the family wanted - and I had enough chicken to double the recipe for the marinade. I substituted a small orange for one of the limes. It gave the chicken a little sweetness to go with all the other flavors. They absolutely LOVED it. Give it a try.
I’ve made this twice, the first time I overcooked the chicken and there wasn’t much flavor. The second attempt was spot on. Like Neil said, packed with flavor and also addicting. Looking forward to doing this one again
I like this guy and how he cooks. He is teaching techniques and sharing knowledge, not simply demonstrating recipes. You can take what he’s doing and develop your own recipe. Job well done sir!
I made this and it was fantastic. I live in WY so outdoor is rare. I bought the steelmadeusa flat top for my Viking range. Its absolutely a blast to cook on and I don't have to fight the WY wind.
Dude, this was off the hook! I LMAO twice. First when you added the tequila to the marinade and second when you ate half the first taco and presumably gave your wife a bite of the rest of it and when you pulled your hand back it was empty. I take a can of Chipotle Peppers in Adobo and run them through the food processor. I put the puree in a refrigerated food storage container and when i need some for salsa or anything else it's very handy. It hasn't gone bad for me and keeps for a long time. You put out a ton of content and should seriously consider putting a Patreon link in your description.
"tu-kee-la-eee" it's a technical term 😀 That looks great, but maybe you audience has something with wanting the recipes: "The Flat Top King Cookbook Volume 1". I can honestly say you have one of the better flat top shows, in my humble opinion.
Gees that looked so incredibly delicious. I'm kicking my own ass for not watching this sooner. I could definitely had scored some big points on this Mother's day lunch with my wife today! Once again you have wowed me! This is my next cook! Thumbs up brother 👍!
Wow, that was an amazing chicken taco! Loved the “recipe.” Great marinade too. I’d of eaten half the chicken before getting the tacos done. Insanely delicious looking Neal! Cheers brother!
Looks amazing, I do chicken fajitas on the flat top which are amazing, this will be a great variation. I’m not a fan of the smokiness of adobo sauce so will substitute an avocado crema which I think will compliment all of the ingredients. Great job!
Another find, really like this one, of course the recipe is a good roadmap, hope it is on your web site too, HAA. Got a lot of the fixins today so getting ready for a try this weekend.
Love your channel! Ive made a few of your recipes on my Loco! This just popped up and will be on my list!!! One comment had chipotle in adobo as a sauce, that is a great idea!!!! Keep at em! Now, just to figure out how to un-recipe this.......😮

I do the same thing with chipotles in adobo. One of my favorite things to do is burgers with that mixed in then some queso in the middle. It makes a spicy burger but really good.
Wouldn't it be handy if you guys just got one of those typical Mexican lime squeezers? They're very practical and I promise it's not cheating, everyone does it over here. Just cut it in half, squeeze, be done with it. Also sometimes it's hard to get the juice out if you don't have strongman grip strength. Also, I recommend buying small plastic containers (tupperware style) for the chipotle in adobo. More convenient than a zip-loc. Whenever we open the can, the leftovers go straight in a container.
That is so simple and looks great! I’m wondering if zesting some of those limes in the marinade would kick it up a notch. I like that you’re putting the recipes up but why don’t you put them on your webpage and add to the collection? Oh, while you’re over there put up a new u photo, LOL

Great here is a response I have saved because all the info involved about the metal utensils. This is definitely a hot button topic... And my answer would be that you have to use metal utensils AT YOUR OWN RISK. The actual Pit Boss Ultimate griddle manual says "non-metallic utensils". I know of a handful of Ultimate griddle owners that have been using metal utensils on their griddles for a while and they've said that there hasn't been any damage... but like I said, you have to use at your own risk - I'm sure that Pit Boss probably won't replace your griddle top for you if you damage it with metal utensils. Also, there's a difference in the types of metal spatulas... my preferred spatula has rounded ends and does NOT have the sharp beveled edges all around. That's the spatula that I like for my other griddles as well. I would never use a square ended, beveled edge spatula on mine. Also, you'll notice that I still use a wooden scraper/spatula to actually scrape down the griddle surface (NOT a metal bench scraper like I use on my other griddles). There’s also the difference in being a more seasoned/experienced griddle user… I feel confident using metal on mine because I’ve been using griddles for over a decade (both commercial and residential flat tops) - so I know not to dig into the surface, how to use the utensils to not cause damage, etc… Hope that helps!
@@TheFlatTopKing awesome response. I actually sell the Pit Boss griddle and Pit Boss actually has a utensil kit they sell separate that is plastic coated metal. I appreciate the response.
