- The Fantasmic dining packages (at Disneyland) can save you time and guarantee a spot in the reserved viewing area of the show. I tried the standard package at the Rancho Del Zocalo.

Realizing I didn't talk about the River Belle Terrace premium package ($89) where you're in a special viewing area (outdoors) and can enjoy the show with your dinner. You would need to book the 7:15 PM dinner reservation under the Fantasmic dining package. Here's more info on that package from the Disneyland website:

Enjoy a 3-course dinner and the evening’s first performance of Fantasmic! right from your table on the outdoor terrace.
For dinner, choose dishes from the regular menu or from a Dining Package menu with specialty items, including:
Platter featuring Fried Chicken, Brisket and Pork Belly Burnt Ends
Pot Roast
Mashed Potatoes
And dessert!"

I was also eyeing that one. I should try it for the next time we get the package.

Really worth it. I'm glad we were able to get a reservation for the Fantastmic dining.
At the Blue Bayou, no way! We went last month and they didn’t have surf and turf like they had listed on their website and app.
Then, if you wanted a beef meal, it was $10 extra over and above the $89 charge. Also, they don’t offer bread.. if you want some, you have to ask for it and you’re charged.. and they even charge $5 for the glow cubes for the drinks now.. Disney is disgustingly greedy now, housing everyone like crazy. The meal was just stressful and awful and the food tastes horrible and the steak was cooked all wrong.
I felt so upset.. knowing we were about to pay $500 Canadian for suchhhh a bad meal made me start to have a small panic attack.
And later that night? Fantasmic was cancelled.
We don’t be back to Disneyland for a very very long time. It’s not the same anymore. They don’t care about the guest experience. They just want to rob you of as much of your money as possible.
Walt would be ashamed of what it’s become. It’s no longer our special place.

I picked the Rancho Del Zocalo dining package because it was the most affordable for me. If it did come down to a show cancellation, I'd be out only $35. Still, it doesn't seem fair, especially with the prices they charge at Blue Bayou and/or River Belle Terrace.
That potato salad looks so gross. Crazy that they say it’s Korean inspired 😂 looks more like gringo inspired 😅
LoL it tastes better than it looks, but not better than ones from korea restaurants or even the pre-made ones from Hmart
