I can’t believe Kai and his team did not get permits and security. Why it was a wonderful opportunity to show kindness to the gaming community in NYC. This only ended in disaster and any goodwill that could of been done was outdone by negligence which ended in many a crime.

He does deserve some blame because he was the host of the event and didn’t have permits for it. There was no security measures in place

The individuals arriving were not greeted with anything other than their own competitive anticipation. Time itself became fuel for the crowds' frustrations.

The whole scenario was just too stupid for words. The minute one person did not get the PS5 they were looking for, a riot was gonna happen anyway. Who comes to a giveaway event with M80s and tools for mischief? Bruh should have done an online raffle and dm’d the winners before announcing the results. This was poor PR planning plan and simple. Now the unsupervised kids and teenagers is a whole other can of worms.
This is a classic case of "No good deed goes unpunished". The NYPD has to be able to prove that he incited and intended for this to happen, which I believe they will not be able to. Im from NY and that mayor is an a**hat! Making a statement that its not police's fault its the parents, what a stupid thing to say, no one is blaming the police for what happened! I hope he remembers come re-election that its "the parents" that will vote for him.
Everyone runs to blame this that and the other person, but as the saying goes "Shit Happens" and while I agree that those who caused harm should be punished there's no need to blame anyone but those who broke the law. Kai Cenat should get ahead of this and offer to pay the city for the clean-up and overtime for police, as well as, offer to pay medical bills and compensation to those injured. People can either chose to sue the city or Kai, but I dont think they can to both. NY has insurance and does compensate those who file for compensation.

Now, I dont know all the details of where and when because that was not discussed, but it explains why they thought it would be okay to do so again.
