Thank you for the video, which I find very informative, concise, and to the point. But regardless of that, I have to say that I find your way of presenting the content incredibly clear and very unpretentious. You have an incredibly great charisma. Hoffe, das hilft dir weiter! 😊
Thanks for your content - I'm a hybrid digi-log user and I'm tossing around the idea of converting to the Todoist app as it's highly popular. This gives me some insight as to the pros-cons. Appreciate your concise and helpful content. Love watching your channel grow.
One thing I prefer with To Do (via Chrome on Windows) is that notifications are sticky not transient so never miss one. Did find that can change notification duration to 5 min using Accessibility settings so that does improve Todoist notifications
Interesting move. Been using ToDoist for several years and i find it to be powerful for all the reasons you mention. What I find interetsing is how do you integrate your work into this/ Manually? I ask because being in a Microsoft 365 environment its pretty cool to have integrations with To Do, Planner, Project and even Lists. Curious how your employer is treating ToDoist.
Yeah, I must admit, the calendar functionality is a friction point for me. I’ve always had Apple only products and having to use a Google account just for calendars has been annoying. That’s what I have done though. And then it syncs into my iOS calendar app. As for the other friction point you mentioned, I actually don’t know what you’re talking about so I can’t help you. Good luck though.
@Jillatcheckthebox Dominique from Todoist here 👋 Great video, Jill! I'm curious, can you tell me more about the workaround you had to put in place to replace/replicate Microsoft Planner's project specific boards?
Hi Dominique, Thanks for the comment. I’m still trying to figure this out and it’s hard to put into words and I might be over thinking it. You may be aware that MS planner automatically syncs with MS To Do, and within my role in my day job we use MS for all things. So having created boards somewhere else in a separate location, with multiple people as owners of tasks, it pulls in to their MS To Do if they’re choosing to use that tool as their task tracker. My specific problem is that I am still using MS planner for large scale projects/roadmaps but now I am using Todoist and the two don’t marry and I couldn’t make them if there was an option due to ISMS 27001. So I don’t specifically have a work around that is efficient, and it’s duplicating effort having just recorded these tasks in Todoist in isolation. So it’s not necessarily a workaround, it’s just done twice. I don’t think I’ll be able to resolve this but it won’t stop me using the app.
Great video but I’m a bit confused by the projects piece. There is a projects section, you create a project title, and use tags to assign tasks to it when capturing tasks. Or add tasks directly to the project. Then for each project you can set the view to list, board or calendar view, set up sections (like Kagan) and move tasks between sections. Same as trello or asana. I think you are limited to 3 projects with the free version, unlimited with a subscription.
Do you miss any of the integration features such as creating a to-do list in OneNote and automatically creating task in Microsoft to do? I’ve been a Todoist user for a long time, but have resigned myself to the fact that I have to use OneNote in my work.
🥳Delighted to see how you use Todoist, Jill! Welcome!
Thank you I’m loving it!

@@Jillatcheckthebox Got you, thanks for explaining. It's crystal clear now :)
Maybe you can use the board view with in a project #context and adding sections to see it as a planner mode

I just moved to ticktick from todoist. I miss th aesthetic of todoist though
This is what retains me from such move
Todoist aesthetics is pleasure )
Was that a Pilot Frixxion you were writing with when you talked about having to cross things out?! 😁
Ha ha, of all the pens I chose for that, I choose the one that can be erased - Very observant of you!!

I see the convenience but I've gotten used to adding tasks quickly on todoist. The big thing for me is not needing authentication for using todoist
Would like to know why not things 3
I’d rather chew glass than use Microsuck anything but thanks for the video.
I hated Todoist 🤷♂️
