Well, here’s some things that I think are very important for creating a game, all thanks to RDR2: - Good story telling - Detailed environments - Realistic characters - consequences of basic actions - Love or hate it - Sad stories are often more memorable than happy ones - One single character can make a person develop an entire different perspective of life in general - Good Honour and bad honour matters more than you think - Characters and the world still live their own life even after you close the game - Character Development is very important for a good game to become a even better game - Physics and details to models and environments are everything - Survival is anything but simple mechanics - A death of one or more characters can affect you in more ways than one if done right - Every single piece of your created world, character or story is gonna matter in any scene you make, so make sure to make it memorable and accurate to what the setting is for your game - Animals don’t just look like a plastic bag with 4 legs, they are useful and modelled for many reasons - Make sure to make the places you want to create draw people and yourself into the world itself - Enemies don’t always have to become or be seen as evil from the very beginning - The best and trusted person can also be the most dangerous and powerful enemy you’ll ever meet - Make sure to make almost every option possible for different scenarios and ideas that you’ll choose - A video game is more than just a game, it’s playable art. Make sure to have fun with it & never give up - If you dies life doesn’t just stop, but it keeps going on - Memories are ways to describe ourselves and will shape us to who we are forever and today - The setting for your story is what shapes everything together into your final project - Ideas and dreams can be created and possible, you just have to make them happen - Coding is essential for any games to succeed and work properly, not just modelling and writing stories - Memories never fade away - A game can shape how you are as a person in real life, whether you believe it or not - A good game with a simple or complex plot can actually save a life - You think you did the right thing, but regret and complications will sooner or later sting you in the ass - Friends and family are very important for humans to function in our world - We are social creatures, so make the character/characters talk! - Having people around your world helps environments feel real and lively - Small activities like: eating, crafting, sleeping, going to the bathroom, exploring and finding a cafe that you can enter, Sit & talk or order something, really makes a huge difference in how you interact in the world. - Music is a core part of a video game - Cars and people don’t just walk or drive around, but all do their own routines just like you and me. - Shops, hospitals, or other public places are super important for a RPG or exploration game, so make them accessible, detailed and have activities just like how you can go to a cafe just to sit and talk, make order a coffee to sip on in real life. - Sunlight, lights, shadows and reflections are a great way to not make your game look like shit - Death doesn’t always have to be the end of a story or game, make it continue and add memorable moments to remind people of what the other playable character has done to change the world around them. - Side quests are a good way to shape a story or make the game more engaging, but don’t make it a chore and try to balance it out with being able to explore and go to places to relax afterwards. - You can use resources like wood, stone, flowers, animal fat, fur or other parts of many animals, or water to create useful equipment like weapons, ovens, beds, different types of food, clothing, building houses and more. (So make sure to make the things you place or create in an environment actually accessible and useful for anything you might come up with, need, or create) - Cooking is more than just a mechanic to heal and recover damage. You need to: * find ingredients, * create the right equipment to then use them to begin cooking, * being able to: (chop, boil, fry, grill, mix, garnish, plate it up, serve it up on a plate, being able to actually eat the dish, and maybe even wash the dishes), * have the knowledge to get recipes and actually make them, * quality will change a dish to the better or worse with poor, medium or premium ingredients - Swimming won’t kill you and is useful to travel around, and a reason to make boats for a faster travel - Clouds and sunlight will drastically change the environment and atmosphere, morning, evening and night can all have different events or impacts on shops or other activities you can do - Rain, wind and thunder and high ground can be deadly or even a lot challenging for surviving, and might require you to: * build shelter, * have health kits and bandages, * making sure to have water or find food, * being able to cook, * hunting will be a necessary mechanic for these conditions, to find fur for warmth, meat for food and bones and other parts of an animal to create weapons and materials for shelter and crafting supplies. * making sure to not get infected or injured by animals, * tripping or getting wounds can affect your health and bleeding out can be fatal if you don’t have healing supplies, * freezing, nausea, fever, poisoning, overheating and warmth will be important factors for survival in a game. - Games don’t need a Battle Pass, loot boxes, skill trees, micro transactions, or any other kind of paywall to be fun and enjoyable. In my opinion: It simply ruins the game and makes the money you spent on the actual game feel worthless and not worth playing if you need to buy stuff to even play it. - Character creation is a good way to express yourself and make the game more fun, but make sure to actually show your character in either a mirror for first person, back side for third person, or different kinds of perspective for second person modes. - Save, quick save or manual save files are always needed in a game, no matter the time of the event. - Being able to PAUSE A GAME in any scene in a video game - Not getting a loading screen every five seconds or at all is a must to keep the player engaged in your game. - This all depends on what game you want to make, but don’t have too much, or worse, too little details in your environment or world/worlds. Take photos of the outside world or get some references, and see what you come up with. (Only you can tell if it’s gonna be good or not, and too many details can be better than too little, just make sure that your device can handle it.) - A game should have a good amount of time to get to the finish line. (It’s okay to make a short game, or even a demo version, and might bring more people to like it and hope for more. However, a long game, let’s say a story is 100 hours + side missions that are 20 hours in total, can be too much for a player to handle if you have stuff to do besides play video games all day. So make sure to balance it to maybe 15 to 30 hours, or 40 hours in total depending on your own preference.) - Cutscenes are a great way to keep players from being distracted or bored in the game, but make sure to make it balanced with timing to 1 to 3 minutes, (longer depending on what scenario you’re going for), being able to choose between dialogue options afterwards, move around while it plays, or make it cinematic to catch your attention and keep going. - Walking, running, jumping, climbing, crouching, (leaning forward, back, side to side), zooming in and out, (looking up, down, side to side, forward and back,) First/Second/Third person perspective, aiming, shooting, punching, blocking, dodging, photo mode, and laying down are all animations and mechanics needed for any scene or action in a character to even function properly in a video game. Those are all I have for now, and are all tips for creating a game that will be fun, worth the money and time, making the game very memorable. ❤🎮
You forget Red Dead Redemption already had a story going all the way back in 2010 and even earlier through development. Gta 6 is the new kid in town on top of this we have too many people complaining it's taking too long for the game to release lol The good news is we know for a fact gta 6 will have even better graphics than red dead redemption 2, I just wish people stop yelling at Rockstar and let them release a beautiful game on their own schedule 😂
Just character, story, and graphics. Everything else is bad. Progression and skills, quest design and tracking, menu system, collectables, and everyone else is bad
I like how there are lots of towns in RDR2 all with different shops. Not copy paste shops either. Almost every Saloon, General store, Gun shop and tailor had a different interior lay out and different shopkeepers. I hope GTA 6 will expand on this. The possibilities are limitless
Hopefully unlike RDR2, the items in the shop are different so it gives you a reason to go to that specific shop, wether it’s a clothing shop, gun store, etc etc
@@pandorapanda8362 in rdr2 the items in the shop are different for example you can only buy the m1899 pistol in saint denis but you cant buy it anywhere else
What I would love to see in GTA 6 is the weapons system from RDR2 done with modern weapons. Something like you have a main car and in the trunk you have your assault rifles, grenade and rocket launchers and other bigger weapons that need to be pulled out of the car and carried on you. Also, having a holster for a handgun or guns you are using would be a very cool fashion detail. So a player would think before starting shit if they only have a holster with 2 handguns max in it. But for this there is also a question if players would like the realistic weapons system because GTA did do the weapon wheel and weapons pulled out of nowhere since its 3d universe release.
They should make clothing tie into how many weapons you can carry. If you have long pants you can use an ankle holster; if you have a long coat you could conceal a long-arm like a shotgun, if we wear a jacket we could have holsters under each arm and multiple around the sides and backs of the waists. I think it could be very interesting what could be done with the limited weapons. It'd be interesting to see how Rockstar will evolve the weapon carrying system, especially if they use the limited weapons like RDR2
We already know that it will have a system like rdr2 where you can have 2 guns on your back so I would imagine you get your new long arms from your car
@@giuseppemaggio5894 They should give us the option to have either high risk high reward physics like in IV or more casual friendly physics like in gta V
Even after 100% RDR2 twice, I still learn new things every time I play (such as the nearly extinct bird I saw for the first time after 600h). This game is just something else…
Carolina parakeet 😊. You don’t even need it for zoologist (at least I got zoologist before seeing it somehow). Also spoiler: Apparently if you kill it like 25 times (I think), it truly becomes extinct. I won’t bother with it, even if I did enjoy the exotics missions, there is a limit to my patience.
The idea of filling gas up in the car is fun but they have to do it right. Filling up gas in the car every 5 mins would just get annoying for a lot of players but filling gas up every 30-35 mins would be a realistic touch without feeling annoying. It could also add more depth to some missions like getting chased by cops or robbing a gas station for gas and storing it in your garage as free gas. Little stuff like that could change the game and add more depth to the world.
I think rockstar could implement fuel system from Mafia 2. that games had refueling system, but the fuel drain very slowly, so the fuel system are not annoying.
As someone who has yet to play RDR2 (Finally got a new PC build and just waiting to have some free time and I'm getting it) you hyped me up so so much for it haha
I know this is controversial but I want limited weapon storage. The idea of us carrying like 50 weapons that come out of nowhere breaks immersion for me.
Haven't you guys seen the leaks? GTA VI will definitely have the same mechanics as RDR2. Your personal vehicle will be your own arsenal storage, yes no more guns out of your pocket, probably pistols and revolvers will be the only one that can be taken out anywhere at anytime. Backpacks and bags will do the same job
I know this isn't RDR2 but I hope they take notes from Max Payne 3's combat and try implementing and improving upon that combat system. That game is when their gunplay was at their peak imo.
@@CrackedJust1n Tell me about it. It's even more impressive when you consider that Rockstar isn't known for their combat mechanics and yet they're the only ones I know of that has mastered gunplay, it's probably the closest we'll get to a John Wick game.
@@SleepyjoeOG The combat isn't bad mind you I still think there's good in the combat but after replaying Max Payne 3 just makes the combat system in RDR2 seem so slow and clunky in comparison for me although the combat being more slower paced was most likely intentional on Rockstar's part.
@@SlurpyPie the fighting was good and a huge improvement tho, but shooting is the same old same old,I really like the draw mechanic tho when if you slowly press r2/RT he slowly reaches for his gun😂 gta 6 should add more things like that
honestly, I'm all for having a refuelling system in gta 6. because if you look at BeamNG, a game known for their level of realism in car physics, detail, etc. if you look at their gas system, it *still* takes a ton of time for your gas to run out, even if you're driving fast for long periods of time or speeding everywhere. all rockstar would have to do is add a refuelling system that lasts long, and gas would be in the game but wouldnt be too much of an inconvenience. R* should make it to the point of where fuel lasts about 1.5 in-game weeks or 4-5 hours in realtime so that if you run out of fuel, it would be your fault for not refuelling because you've had plenty of time and plenty of money to refill your car. add a fuel system because realism and immersion, but also dont make it overly annoying because videogame. problem solved. Edit: dont make it expensive either.
@@korkingg i don’t that, i talking more about chests, boxes and things like that, i really love to explore in games, and seeing that repetitive animations over and over and over again, really bores me at the point i didn’t even want to explore camps and some houses
@@Subwaygoonfree they aren't going to use a thousand animations to open similar size chests/crates.. do you use different "animations" to open doors/boxes irl? Nope😂
I hope our characters interact with the vehicles the same way Arthur and John do with their horses. Dialogue like “there there boy” “that’s my girl” etc but to our vehicles
Maybe there doesn’t need to be an honor system but if there are multiple endings like RDR2 and GTA V, I hope it’s more like RDR2 where your actions throughout the story actually influence what ending you get. Unlike GTA V, where all it comes down to is just selecting which ending you want regardless of anything you’ve done up to that point. It doesn’t have to be an honor system but I’d like some way for the player’s actions to influence the story.
I would love if a relationship meter between Jason and Lucia determined the ending of the game similar to what you said about honor from RDR changing the end
One thing I always wanted was voices in online. Rdr2 had so much ambient dialogue it would have made it that much more fun to give your online character a voice.
Honestly the top 3 thing i hope are in gta 6 from RDR2 1-Gun play/vital bleed out. This mechanic was amazing and made fire fights so fun to be in and watch. 2-Environment interaction, trees, plants, animals, random events. Gta 5 kinda had this but i want it scaled to a insane degree 3-taking care of your vehicle, in RDR2 you had to brush your horse, feed it and take care of it, i wouldnt mind having to take care of my car, get gas, parts swapped etc like real life, BUT also making it a draw back for A.I too meaning if their vehicles are dirty or too damaged it effects their aim, or driving skills
Mechanics that would be nice: - Gaining and losing weight, although not as much weight loss as in rdr2. Muscle growth/loss would also be nice like in san andreas. - Similar character interractions with the left trigger - A dynamic base/house that can be upgraded - More interiors
GTA 6 is the whole reason that the clouds in RDR2 were so advanced. Even though you only have one mission to properly see the clouds, GTA 6 will have planes, helicopters, etc. so the RDR2 clouds were a prototype for GTA 6 clouds.
Dude I am loving your channel, you’re by far my favorite “GTA RUclipsr,” I know you do way more than that, but good shit capitalizing off of the hype. Inspiring me fr. Keep it up bro. Got no doubt I’ll be seeing your vids hit multiple hundred thousand views in no time.
After playing through RDR2. GTA VI has a lot to improve on. RDR2 is better than GTA V by a mile. And GTA VI should make RDR2 feel like GTA V. They have to turn the direction of GTA, in the direction of what GTA IV was doing. The biggest downplay of the series was GTA V taking a more arcadey direction, when every game prior built towards what GTA IV was, just to be undercut with V. Good at the time, but I wouldn't want it anymore.
Great video 🔥🤝 An with the final question I really want to have more aspects to our personal vehicle for gta 6 much like our horses I want that vehicle to be our side character that has your supplies an items you need at all times while also being our transportation an getaways, vehicles need to have a much bigger role an customization in gta 6 🙏
RdR2 is 6 years old in 2024 but still there is no game in the world that would even come close to something like it. gonna be hard for rockstar to make gta 6 even better that what they already did in Red dead
Oh man, and if the interiors are as good as the patents lead us to believe I wonder if we'll be able to invade homes, kidnap said requested person with a bounty and take them to the buyer that would be dope
They should take note from red dead's money system. For a big chunk of the game money that you gained actually mattered and it felt fun to spend it (from chapter 4 onwards there wasn't anything to buy whcih they should improve up on)
What I really liked about rdr2 was that it made me feel super happy in the beginning of the game, and then progressively got more sad and serious. It really toyed with my emotions because it was like that. I also like how every character has a different personality, even the npcs
I have a feeling that there is some sort of action related system but between jason and lucia. There could be a system of platonic or romantic scale in the game and it could change the outcome of the game’s end. There could be some rewards that come from a more platonic relationship like maybe the character you choose will be able to keep more items for themselves or for romantic, the partner would be more willing to help in high turmoil. Basically like the horse bonding system but way more complex. There could also be moments where you can increase the love meter like dialogue choices. There might be an instance where Lucia thanks Jason and a dialogue option between “Appreciate it.” and “I can’t thank you enough.” Just a thought
Less linear mission structure. Incorporating that giant beautiful map into missions dynamically would be sweet. Like unscripted car/plane chases that end up where ever. Planning your strategies for missions rather than going to a quest marker and being plopped into the right place. Or something like getting a high wanted level and bringing that heat into a mission area and wreaking absolute chaos. And definitely more things to buy with your hard earned cash. Vehicles, clothes, strategic safehouses, apartments/houses and furnishings. Maybe gameplay changing items that can only be found at special shops or digging around online (in-game). Or special options allowed to you if you do well on missions like perks from npcs. Just more dynamic and emergent gameplay would be the best they could really add.
im really interested in the npc interactions, like imagine meeting the hammer woman randomly or robbing a store and taking a hostage, smart police AND A WANTED SYSTEM! also the amount of npcs in gta 6 looks to be insane, like did you see the beach or the miami beach clubs?
i hope that instead of having the dialogue go like : player: 'hey mister' npc: 'hello' player: 'how's it going' npc: 'not good' player: 'alright see you later' npc: 'okay' because although it's fun to play around with i hope the interactions can go deeper in gta6
I just want a great game, story and environment. I don't play GTAV or RDR2 online, I just want to be able to spend 100+ hours in the game. Luckily, Rockstar has done that on every GTA and am still playing RDR2 daily, just to fish and enjoy the snow physics. lol Damn, I did not know that RDR2's map was smaller than GTA5. Maybe it's because I enjoy taking my time trotting around and enjoying the scenery
I hope the aiming system comes back in gta6. In rdr2, I would aim at someone, look up for a headshot, but often miss due to the shakiness when you’re moving. In gta5 it seemed very easy to take out 10+ cops simply by using the very very strong aim assist. That shakiness allows for the player to think about how to kill someone instead of click and fire
I disagree, if there is one thing that should be absent in GTA VI it is the camera shaking/reticle sway mechanic. It made landing shots on targets more based on lucky than skill.
I would say a more compelling character would be great, personally I didn’t feel Interested in any of the characters from gta because it didn’t feel like any of em had a moral struggle inside, they where just delinquents committing crimes for money, same happens in red dead but at least we get to see Arthur struggle with real human emotions, in doing right or wrong. And that made me feel more attached to him and the game.
I really would like to see different terrain physics like in rdr 2 where on ice ur car will be so slippery on mud u need a 4x4, and not be like gta5 where any car would climb the mountain like a monster truck.
I think rather than an honour system they could use a more passive system like a reputation system, so for example if you kill without thought more people are likely to be cautious and some enemies might run away etc. and if you help people out like stopping robberies, shops will give you discounts etc
Hopefully someone sees this. I agree with most things but the mentioning of gta having lack of side missions u picked one of the worst ones and left it at that the Lenora Johnson side missions and epislonism were super in depth especially for a game in 2013
You know what fair point, I definitely should have expanded and given GTA 5 more of a chance there, thank you for your comment and I absolutely saw this!
The thing is whit the cops being so advanced and the npc’s reacting to the littlest things ever it will be really hard to play through and beat missions
Maybe not an honour system, but an adaptive police system would be really cool. Maybe if your character has comitted a large amount crimes, the response will be even greater consistently even if you lost your 'wanted level.' Stations should have a heavy appearance in the block its located.
Answer: ACTUALLY EATING , bro I knwo 2013 had its limitations for a hunger system but rdr2 takes that and BLOWS it away , you can get hungry, fat, or just go run errands and have some cool conversations with the clerk as if you know him. I heard that the more you visit the clerk , the dialogue will be different, liek he knows you and says " Welcome back friend!" like you actually gained a connection, but if you avoid his store he's all quiet and just says " Catalogue" "Hello."
I think some features mentioned here might make it to GTA VI but let's control our expectations a bit when we do. things like NPC Interactions is a REALLY cool feature that GTA VI has, but i don't think it'll be used for the game's in-universe social media platforms... Unless R* are computer wizards, then consider myself impressed!
the weapon wheel was a evolution from Max Payne 3 although RDR1 had it R* made it a selling point for Max Payne 3 people need to respect MAX PAYNE 3 more it's one of R* best games EVER the online was 🔥
Guys I’m revisiting RDR2 right now since 2019.. I cannot actually fathom how in the hell they are going to improve on it. RDR2 is literally perfect. Every minute I take a pause in awe and ask myself how will they top this ??
I’d like for the recreational fishing and hunting to return in 6. Not sure where it would tie in but imagine loading up some cars and heading to the swamp to hunt gators
the main thing I wanna see from this game is optimization tbh, its so overlooked now a days and I don't want rock star to adopt the fix it in post attitude like some other companies.
from what i’ve seen from the trailer it’s seems like they will be hopefully taking a slower pace with the story like they did in RDR2. the story in gta5 was ok and it’s a very fun game, but i felt no connection to any characters or the story like i did in RDR2, which has so many memorable moments which tells an incredible story and impactful action scenes, whereas gta is mostly just go here shoot this shoot that. and i understand that gta5 does have some deep moments but in fairness they went more for comedy and action than a deep impactful story which i personally found to fall flat. so i’m really hoping rockstar will take the RDR2 route with gta6.
If the leaks are anything to go on, I believe the honor system will return, but it will be used for Jason & Lucia's relationship. You should make this a series and talk about what they should take from previous installments of the gta series
Yea bro on that note I got a feeling someone in the relationship will double cross someone if that happens I'm making sure Lucia is surviving no matter what lol@@mrsanatra1
I would like compendium for the cars or motorcycles and their history like animals in rdr2. new vehicles I want • Gas powered Bicycle • Snowmobile • Backhoe or more industrial vehicles
I really really hope they ditch the lock on aim altogether and refine the shooting mechanics, it’s been needed for years in r* games. Combat simply isn’t fun enough in r* games
This one is a little unde the radar but the movement of the character, in RDR2 you can walk slowly and sprint fast if you want as long as you use the joystick to manage the velocity, something GTAV dont have and you can only use three movement mechanics, giving the feeling of an outdated videogame.
They do have honor features in GTA already, all o them i think, its just stuffed in the states menu with no hud. So its forgotten. In that states section thats says all the tiniest facts about tour play through like your favorite radio station, how far you ran or drove by all kinds of vehiscal types. How many crimes you commited how many kills youve got. I think the highest honor in Gta Vice city is God father status.
NO MORE GUNS OUT OF THIN AIR and a good story thank god GTA VI will have the gun inventory system from RDR2 and hopefully you have different holsters for your pistol just imagine the RDR2 inventory system with modern weapons I always hated in GTA V guns come from thin air and for your pistol if you have a holster equipped the weapon itself on the holster doesn’t disappear it stays on the holster so no more weapons out of thin air
What i love about rdr2 that you can even rob a person that have a gun and it depenp of the NPC if they want to use it or not😮. In other gta games npc with guns they shoot at you but in red dead redemption 2 it depened! I rob ppl with r Guns and some defend the semlves and other not
On the topic of NPC‘s. With the crazy amount of AI technology that has come out these days, I’m surprised I haven’t seen any games use it yet on NPC’s. Could you imagine the potential?! I kind of hope GTA VI is the first game to implement this level of Ai.
It would be super cool if GTA 6 had a proper stealth system, with rewards if you complete missions without being seen. Perhaps it would save you trouble down the line since your crimes can't be attributed to you.
the MOST important thing is for them to add more side activities, beacuse after you do all missions you dont have almost anything to do, the activities that you can play between missions except side missions are almost always very boring, simple, and alike and even side missions are pretty boring as well, in rdr2 there are many more things to do and they are more interesting but there is so much space to improve, also, the shooting isnt very well made on consoles, in fact it is so terrible they had to add aimlock just for the game to be enjoyable, there are many other things like the fact that your bought car just dissapears after dying or after some missions but im not gonna mention them cuz i aint writing an essay.
So I do agree that the honer system wouldn't fit in gta 6....however! If they replace the honer system with say...a relationship meter for jason and lucia where the relationship can be Loving/Toxic or in the middle then I think that would open up alot for the story! Jus a thought lol
Well, here’s some things that I think are very important for creating a game, all thanks to RDR2:
- Good story telling
- Detailed environments
- Realistic characters
- consequences of basic actions
- Love or hate it
- Sad stories are often more memorable than happy ones
- One single character can make a person develop an entire different perspective of life in general
- Good Honour and bad honour matters more than you think
- Characters and the world still live their own life even after you close the game
- Character Development is very important for a good game to become a even better game
- Physics and details to models and environments are everything
- Survival is anything but simple mechanics
- A death of one or more characters can affect you in more ways than one if done right
- Every single piece of your created world, character or story is gonna matter in any scene you make, so make sure to make it memorable and accurate to what the setting is for your game
- Animals don’t just look like a plastic bag with 4 legs, they are useful and modelled for many reasons
- Make sure to make the places you want to create draw people and yourself into the world itself
- Enemies don’t always have to become or be seen as evil from the very beginning
- The best and trusted person can also be the most dangerous and powerful enemy you’ll ever meet
- Make sure to make almost every option possible for different scenarios and ideas that you’ll choose
- A video game is more than just a game, it’s playable art. Make sure to have fun with it & never give up
- If you dies life doesn’t just stop, but it keeps going on
- Memories are ways to describe ourselves and will shape us to who we are forever and today
- The setting for your story is what shapes everything together into your final project
- Ideas and dreams can be created and possible, you just have to make them happen
- Coding is essential for any games to succeed and work properly, not just modelling and writing stories
- Memories never fade away
- A game can shape how you are as a person in real life, whether you believe it or not
- A good game with a simple or complex plot can actually save a life
- You think you did the right thing, but regret and complications will sooner or later sting you in the ass
- Friends and family are very important for humans to function in our world
- We are social creatures, so make the character/characters talk!
- Having people around your world helps environments feel real and lively
- Small activities like: eating, crafting, sleeping, going to the bathroom, exploring and finding a cafe that you can enter, Sit & talk or order something, really makes a huge difference in how you interact in the world.
- Music is a core part of a video game
- Cars and people don’t just walk or drive around, but all do their own routines just like you and me.
- Shops, hospitals, or other public places are super important for a RPG or exploration game, so make them accessible, detailed and have activities just like how you can go to a cafe just to sit and talk, make order a coffee to sip on in real life.
- Sunlight, lights, shadows and reflections are a great way to not make your game look like shit
- Death doesn’t always have to be the end of a story or game, make it continue and add memorable moments to remind people of what the other playable character has done to change the world around them.
(So make sure to make the things you place or create in an environment actually accessible and useful for anything you might come up with, need, or create)
- Cooking is more than just a mechanic to heal and recover damage. You need to:
* find ingredients,
* create the right equipment to then use them to begin cooking,
* being able to: (chop, boil, fry, grill, mix, garnish, plate it up, serve it up on a plate, being able to actually eat the dish, and maybe even wash the dishes),
* have the knowledge to get recipes and actually make them,
* quality will change a dish to the better or worse with poor, medium or premium ingredients
- Swimming won’t kill you and is useful to travel around, and a reason to make boats for a faster travel
- Clouds and sunlight will drastically change the environment and atmosphere, morning, evening and night can all have different events or impacts on shops or other activities you can do
- Rain, wind and thunder and high ground can be deadly or even a lot challenging for surviving, and might require you to:
* build shelter,
* have health kits and bandages,
* making sure to have water or find food,
* being able to cook,
* hunting will be a necessary mechanic for these conditions, to find fur for warmth, meat for food and bones and other parts of an animal to create weapons and materials for shelter and crafting supplies.
* making sure to not get infected or injured by animals,
* tripping or getting wounds can affect your health and bleeding out can be fatal if you don’t have healing supplies,
* freezing, nausea, fever, poisoning, overheating and warmth will be important factors for survival in a game.
- Being able to PAUSE A GAME in any scene in a video game
- Not getting a loading screen every five seconds or at all is a must to keep the player engaged in your game.
- This all depends on what game you want to make, but don’t have too much, or worse, too little details in your environment or world/worlds. Take photos of the outside world or get some references, and see what you come up with. (Only you can tell if it’s gonna be good or not, and too many details can be better than too little, just make sure that your device can handle it.)
- A game should have a good amount of time to get to the finish line.
(It’s okay to make a short game, or even a demo version, and might bring more people to like it and hope for more. However, a long game, let’s say a story is 100 hours + side missions that are 20 hours in total, can be too much for a player to handle if you have stuff to do besides play video games all day. So make sure to balance it to maybe 15 to 30 hours, or 40 hours in total depending on your own preference.)
- Cutscenes are a great way to keep players from being distracted or bored in the game, but make sure to make it balanced with timing to 1 to 3 minutes, (longer depending on what scenario you’re going for), being able to choose between dialogue options afterwards, move around while it plays, or make it cinematic to catch your attention and keep going.
the time this must have taken you is INSANE! Thank you for this comment I completely agree
No one's reading that
You forget Red Dead Redemption already had a story going all the way back in 2010 and even earlier through development.
Gta 6 is the new kid in town on top of this we have too many people complaining it's taking too long for the game to release lol
The good news is we know for a fact gta 6 will have even better graphics than red dead redemption 2, I just wish people stop yelling at Rockstar and let them release a beautiful game on their own schedule 😂

Just character, story, and graphics. Everything else is bad. Progression and skills, quest design and tracking, menu system, collectables, and everyone else is bad
I want basically everything RDR2 has in GTA6. More realistic and interactive world
We should be given 2 choices, the first one is realistic life approach like rdr2, and the second one is fun arcadey approach just like gta 5
@@LuthfiHarits-tx7qy Thats a good fucking idea! Personally i would pick the life approach because i want an interactive world.
i hope it wont have the really restrictive missions as in rdr2
@@LuthfiHarits-tx7qy won't happen lil bro, it will just be the realistic one because that makes a masterpiece not a braindead childrens game
I like how there are lots of towns in RDR2 all with different shops. Not copy paste shops either. Almost every Saloon, General store, Gun shop and tailor had a different interior lay out and different shopkeepers. I hope GTA 6 will expand on this. The possibilities are limitless
Well since rockstar has said most buildings will be able to be explored inside it’s hopeful that that will be the case
Hopefully unlike RDR2, the items in the shop are different so it gives you a reason to go to that specific shop, wether it’s a clothing shop, gun store, etc etc
@@pandorapanda8362 in rdr2 the items in the shop are different
for example you can only buy the m1899 pistol in saint denis but you cant buy it anywhere else
@@Gyati rockstar never said anything about gta 6 lol 😂
@@VerminSupremeFanPagethat’s actually a really nice idea
Imagine if you dont got a shirt the pistol would look in your waist
We already know that it will have a system like rdr2 where you can have 2 guns on your back so I would imagine you get your new long arms from your car
I really hope they can mix gta 5 and gta 4 car physics and balance responsivity, fun and also be challenging like gta 4
Gta 4 not having taxi missions like other gtas was insulting and a huge missed opportunity
I am ok with that as long as they don't reintroduce the stupid jelly-suspension physics that were present in GTA IV
@@giuseppemaggio5894 They should give us the option to have either high risk high reward physics like in IV or more casual friendly physics like in gta V

Even after 100% RDR2 twice, I still learn new things every time I play (such as the nearly extinct bird I saw for the first time after 600h). This game is just something else…
which one?
you can't just say that and not tell us what the bird is
Carolina parakeet 😊. You don’t even need it for zoologist (at least I got zoologist before seeing it somehow).
Also spoiler:
Apparently if you kill it like 25 times (I think), it truly becomes extinct. I won’t bother with it, even if I did enjoy the exotics missions, there is a limit to my patience.
Thanks@@Erichteia
Me too! I only did the serial killer mystery mission on one of my latest playthroughs for example, so much content in the game its jaw dropping
Little stuff like that could change the game and add more depth to the world.
i think an hour of driving should be a tank of gas
Make it so you need gas for cars you stoke or don't own, and no gas for cars you own
@@madoxjalowiec5148 naw all cars need gas bro lmao even cars we own
I think rockstar could implement fuel system from Mafia 2. that games had refueling system, but the fuel drain very slowly, so the fuel system are not annoying.
Also fuel consumption depending on the way you drive a car, if you drive fast you run outta it faster
Nah, most people agree. It would be awesome
It is happening and you aren't the only one
They could do it where you store guns in the glovebox and back
Haven't you guys seen the leaks?
GTA VI will definitely have the same mechanics as RDR2.
Your personal vehicle will be your own arsenal storage, yes no more guns out of your pocket, probably pistols and revolvers will be the only one that can be taken out anywhere at anytime.
Backpacks and bags will do the same job

I know this isn't RDR2 but I hope they take notes from Max Payne 3's combat and try implementing and improving upon that combat system. That game is when their gunplay was at their peak imo.
Yeah rdr 2 while great gunplay hasn’t improved
Max Payne 3 mastered third person combat then they never did it again lol
Mafia 2 also had refuelling system
yes, basically driving pick up truck with MPG of prius
Similar to having to feed horses honestly. It really would not be much of an inconvenience at all.
@@emanueldg and theirs was lowkey good only thong they needed was a third person gauge to let you know how much fuel you have left

taking out that repetitive animations for opening boxes, cabinets, chests, etc… Would be a great improvement to that game
I understand where you're coming from, I think it should just be reworked, animation for a quick grab would play that would take a second instead of 4

I want Jason to refer to his car as a girl like most guys do

Hogwarts legacy had two voices but let you choose how high or low pitched they were which made it feel different, they should do something like that
At the start of online they should do a gag where your oc pretends like he isn't able to talk but then plays it off and says he's just joking
Honestly the top 3 thing i hope are in gta 6 from RDR2
1-Gun play/vital bleed out. This mechanic was amazing and made fire fights so fun to be in and watch.
2-Environment interaction, trees, plants, animals, random events. Gta 5 kinda had this but i want it scaled to a insane degree
3-taking care of your vehicle, in RDR2 you had to brush your horse, feed it and take care of it, i wouldnt mind having to take care of my car, get gas, parts swapped etc like real life, BUT also making it a draw back for A.I too meaning if their vehicles are dirty or too damaged it effects their aim, or driving skills
Mechanics that would be nice:
- Gaining and losing weight, although not as much weight loss as in rdr2. Muscle growth/loss would also be nice like in san andreas.
- Similar character interractions with the left trigger
- A dynamic base/house that can be upgraded
- More interiors
I hope the clouds in rdr2 make a return in gta 6
GTA 6 is the whole reason that the clouds in RDR2 were so advanced. Even though you only have one mission to properly see the clouds, GTA 6 will have planes, helicopters, etc. so the RDR2 clouds were a prototype for GTA 6 clouds.
@@sleepneeded6120 you could say that with rdr2 in general, they probably just wanted realistic clouds

Great video 🔥🤝
An with the final question I really want to have more aspects to our personal vehicle for gta 6 much like our horses I want that vehicle to be our side character that has your supplies an items you need at all times while also being our transportation an getaways, vehicles need to have a much bigger role an customization in gta 6 🙏
personal vehicles were always disposable in GTA I also hope they play a larger role
RdR2 is 6 years old in 2024 but still there is no game in the world that would even come close to something like it. gonna be hard for rockstar to make gta 6 even better that what they already did in Red dead
I love red dead 2 and I too will have difficulty accepting GTA 6 as my new favorite, if it ever takes Red Deads place
Your channel is SO underrated, idk how you don't have a 100k subs right now. Keep them videos coming Justin, love watching each one of them ^-^
We need something like bounty hunting in 6
Oh man, and if the interiors are as good as the patents lead us to believe I wonder if we'll be able to invade homes, kidnap said requested person with a bounty and take them to the buyer that would be dope
@@CrackedJust1n👍🏻
GTA 5 have bounty hunting too with Trevor and Maude, but there are only like 4-5 target that you can catch.
5:53 Actually, San Andreas has Nevada as well.
They should take note from red dead's money system. For a big chunk of the game money that you gained actually mattered and it felt fun to spend it (from chapter 4 onwards there wasn't anything to buy whcih they should improve up on)
Definitely the clouds. You literally only get to see their 3D volumetric beauty in ONE mission. But GTA 6, theres planes.
Probably like a fallout companion system with the character swap feature
This would make the game and characters so much more enjoyable and I really hope Rockstar does something like this

- realistic weaponry and gunplay
- customisation and open world

Ye GTA 6 is gonna be the most detailed game in the next decade to come i feel like
im really interested in the npc interactions, like imagine meeting the hammer woman randomly or robbing a store and taking a hostage, smart police AND A WANTED SYSTEM! also the amount of npcs in gta 6 looks to be insane, like did you see the beach or the miami beach clubs?
I loved the ability to interact with NPCs so I hope that makes it over to gta.
i hope that instead of having the dialogue go like :
player: 'hey mister'
npc: 'hello'
player: 'how's it going'
npc: 'not good'
player: 'alright see you later'
npc: 'okay'
because although it's fun to play around with i hope the interactions can go deeper in gta6
I just want a great game, story and environment. I don't play GTAV or RDR2 online, I just want to be able to spend 100+ hours in the game. Luckily, Rockstar has done that on every GTA and am still playing RDR2 daily, just to fish and enjoy the snow physics. lol
Damn, I did not know that RDR2's map was smaller than GTA5.
Absolutely agreed, it made Red Deads combat more fun and satisfying when landing a headshot
I disagree, if there is one thing that should be absent in GTA VI it is the camera shaking/reticle sway mechanic. It made landing shots on targets more based on lucky than skill.
@@lucasludwig2347What do you propose?
I would say a more compelling character would be great, personally I didn’t feel Interested in any of the characters from gta because it didn’t feel like any of em had a moral struggle inside, they where just delinquents committing crimes for money, same happens in red dead but at least we get to see Arthur struggle with real human emotions, in doing right or wrong. And that made me feel more attached to him and the game.
I'm interested to see what they do with Jason and Lucia, if the story is as long as rdr2 surely the characters will have to be good
i just really hope the world feels as alive as it does in rd2 cause 8 playthroughs later i’m still finding new things about rd2 story mode
I really would like to see different terrain physics like in rdr 2 where on ice ur car will be so slippery on mud u need a 4x4, and not be like gta5 where any car would climb the mountain like a monster truck.
The big thing I’m hoping for is buildings with interiors that aren’t just shops and no loading screens
Honestly I think in the end, I will still prefer RDR2 over GTA6, Mainly just for the “Wild West America” Feeling that I know I won’t get with GTA
I think rather than an honour system they could use a more passive system like a reputation system, so for example if you kill without thought more people are likely to be cautious and some enemies might run away etc. and if you help people out like stopping robberies, shops will give you discounts etc
A reputation system could be great in GTA, what an amazing idea buddy!
Great video man! You make my mornings/breakfasts!
You make my night and day brother
Hopefully someone sees this. I agree with most things but the mentioning of gta having lack of side missions u picked one of the worst ones and left it at that the Lenora Johnson side missions and epislonism were super in depth especially for a game in 2013
You know what fair point, I definitely should have expanded and given GTA 5 more of a chance there, thank you for your comment and I absolutely saw this!
I hope they keep scalating the misteries.. more creepy stuff in the woods, more/more complex UFO's encounters.
The thing is whit the cops being so advanced and the npc’s reacting to the littlest things ever it will be really hard to play through and beat missions
I think that makes it more fun though, video games are at the end of the day supposed to be challenging
*rubbing hands with a sinister smile* I think it will be great with the Oppressor Mk II back in GTA 6
clearly the best opinion in this comment section
I just really hope that the story will be good. Not just some one-sided stereotypical Hollywood action movie like the story of GTA 5...
If they have even half the details as Red Dead 2, I'd be happy. The little details make such a big difference.
imagine if it gets news channel which will display crimes we did like blowing up cars,
Some people theorize that there will be a social media aspect or mechanic based on the trailer, so maybe something with that
Maybe not an honour system, but an adaptive police system would be really cool.
Not sure where it would tie in but imagine loading up some cars and heading to the swamp to hunt gators
the main thing I wanna see from this game is optimization tbh, its so overlooked now a days and I don't want rock star to adopt the fix it in post attitude like some other companies.
so facts, game companies just want to slap a DLSS/FSR option and call it a day
from what i’ve seen from the trailer it’s seems like they will be hopefully taking a slower pace with the story like they did in RDR2. the story in gta5 was ok and it’s a very fun game, but i felt no connection to any characters or the story like i did in RDR2, which has so many memorable moments which tells an incredible story and impactful action scenes, whereas gta is mostly just go here shoot this shoot that. and i understand that gta5 does have some deep moments but in fairness they went more for comedy and action than a deep impactful story which i personally found to fall flat. so i’m really hoping rockstar will take the RDR2 route with gta6.
But don’t forget how much I loved the dirty jokes and the dark humor what made gta 5 good tbh
If the leaks are anything to go on, I believe the honor system will return, but it will be used for Jason & Lucia's relationship. You should make this a series and talk about what they should take from previous installments of the gta series
I can already tell someone will be betraying the other. Think Jason is a cop or a rat, from the way things looked in the trailer.

I really really hope they ditch the lock on aim altogether and refine the shooting mechanics, it’s been needed for years in r* games. Combat simply isn’t fun enough in r* games
I completely agree it's too outdated for them to get away with again
GTA6 can learn allot from RDR2, The Warriers, Maxpayne 3, San Andreas, GTA4 and Bully.
Hopefully it takes a little from every successful mechanic in the previous games
This one is a little unde the radar but the movement of the character, in RDR2 you can walk slowly and sprint fast if you want as long as you use the joystick to manage the velocity, something GTAV dont have and you can only use three movement mechanics, giving the feeling of an outdated videogame.
Movement is super important and I'm so happy you mentioned that. I'm sure it'll be a lot faster than RDR2s movement but still fluid and realistic
I think it'll definitely have it since most big games nowadays have that
I genuinely don't wanna fill my car up with gas I feel like that would be An instance where they Sacrifice fun for realism.
Bully had supplies available in the room if you took the right classes.
Trucks with balls is all we ask. Chrome ones. Big chrome ones.
I rob ppl with r
Guns and some defend the semlves and other not
Every rockstar game is a test bed for the next one.
100%, it's why I love their games lol
I hope we get HUD options because really i just prefer the weapon wheel from gta5/rdr2
The dialogue options could include 5 options. Greet, converse, antagonise, threaten, rob.
Who noticed the bully music 😂
I did!
