My tip: Don't follow trends. Unless that's specifically what you want to do, don't go chasing after the current trend just for the sake of getting views, because the people who follow you, like the trends themselves, are fleeting. You'll find yourself with dozen of followers/subscribers, but overall engagement will be very low. Case in point: I made one series around FNAF stuff and it did really well, but the minute I tired to branch into other topics or try different things, viewership and engagement would tank. If a trend is based on a topic you're already covering or enjoy, then by all means, go for it. Just know that not everyone that found you from said trend will stick around, but you may keep a few. I guess another tip would be: Make stuff you're passionate about. Doing stuff for the trend or chasing views, it always makes for a worst product overall, and it shows.
This is why I always go towards trends that I 100% will jump into because it looks very fun and its something i want to give it a shot for fun. hoping on trends for sake of views gets extremely tiring VERY fast. its not worth it and I think people dont seem to understand that content creators should do things that they ENJOY. what makes them happy. Its their platform. people who stick around want to see what you want to make that YOU find enjoyment of.
It's less a trend and more YT forcing you into a niche. Once you get views doing something, you become whatever that is. You gotta do other videos people will watch knowing your audience might not like it.
Wow, wait, a content creator tips video that doesn't seem hyper corporate and tells you to devote every second of the day to videos? Good job, you aren't evil!
your voice is so nice! And this advice is really nice... not just "you don't have a daily schedule and 10 social media channels, while you're also studying at uni or doing your 9 to 5!"
Excellent video! I don't see a lot of other Vtuber/content creators advice videos emphasizing tracking expenses for better planning and especially tax benefits!
Thanks for the tips :) I plan on trying to make it a fun year and re-commit to regular content, but it's a little tricky combining it with a full time job!
Ayo Cozy, thanks for inspiring me to finally make the jump into getting my own vtuber saga going, I've wanted to do it for a long time, so here's to 2025 and kicking it off soon!
Legal tax advice: Check if you can use content creation expenses to deduct taxes from the income of your day job. This obviously only works if you have your content identity registered. In many places on earth it wont matter if your content identity makes returns and you can deduct your regular taxes with content expenses! But it depends on where you live, so check laws and get in touch with a (usually free btw) tax advisor or accountant
I'm guilty of mistake #2 -.- so many subscriptions that I never used much. If I could add to the costs thing, see if you're willing to learn a cheaper alternative (e.g. switching from Photoshop to Affinity or learning Da Vinci Resolve).
Thanks for this, I already made my first mistake on the money part one, oops.😂 I didn't know pre-made vtuber models were a thing, and that lack of knowledge hit me in the wallet pretty hard. On the plus side, though, I did manage to find a cheap one I can practice recording with while I wait for my actual model.
Thank you as always for these. I think the expenses one usually trips people. I actually ended up making a whole excel spreadsheet to track it. Even my mom is a little impressed. 🤣
This is a great advice for newbie vtubers. My only problem for vtubing is that i m not confident with my voice.😅 So thats the only thing that holding me back.
I totally get that. I am not a fan of my own voice but I decided, heck it we ball. OR you could use a voice changer like Zentreya and make it a part of your character
My expenses are $0 and my income is also $0. I can't afford to spend anything till I'm making money off of youtube. I tried getting a regular job but there's only so many times you can apply before you realize that no one is gonna ever hire you. So either this youtube thing has gotta work or I find the nearest bridge cause we all need money unfortunately. 5:04 I've been burnt out on everything in life for the last 10 years. Idk how to even fix it anymore. 5:58 Ah yes shedules The issue is once something becomes a pattern i then lose all intrest in doing it. If I don't wake up feeling like doing something it isn't happening no matter how hard i try to make myself do it. And if i try to push past it then i just end up with a mental breakdown.
What if you don't seem to have streaming burnout? I can seem to manage 5 times a week, editing in my spare time and work a part time job on top of it. I've had fans telling me to take a break but when I took a small 2 week break last year, I honestly just feel bored with hardly not much to do. During my hiatus, I actually did even more editing just to find something fun or productive to do.
@@CozyVT it’s just you all have more entertaining content that smaller creators don’t have the time money or talent to create decent content to become good content creators does that make any sense?
@@cody.chambers.9421 Not sure this is vtuber related. For full transparency this is not my full time job, I started with $15, and as for talent I think that just varies by person for different things
Mistake one you make content so you can make mistake to solve the issue the solution is simple make no content so you can't make mistake don't thanks me for the advice i know im a genius
I always get nervous watching these thinking I’m making some dreadful unfixable mistake, but then I realize I’m fine.
lol i feel this one, man. i always think im the worst, then i get some nice comments from ppl. good luck out there o7

Thanks! I try to be as not-evil as possible, plus I need time to snuggle my cats and watch anime so I'm not about to do all that lol

ooooh true that is always an option....

Thanks for the tips :)

This is good advice. I try to do all these but the hardest thing is to keep a habit of recording everything in google sheets 😅

Exactly! Even taxes aside it's just good to know how much you're spending on something.
Great piece of advice. Thank you!
Very helpful! Thanks, CozyChuu!
Taxes make zero sense. If I was fully self employed, why the hell is the government entitled to any of my money? But that's not the subject.
This is good advice, I need to do better collaborating I’m bad at that part
Thank you, this was very helpful

With this stuff, thinking now, I'm honestly wondering what in the world Imma do to not get those problems?

The tax man does not know that i make content on the internet. And never will.
You Vtubers have it easier than us ordinary content creators
