- The new SmartShooter electronic rifle sight can be installed on most military rifles and takes the guesswork out of shooting moving targets at long distances.

Real life aimbot..
this tech inspired by aimbot. 😆
If they can get this tech even smaller and still have an etched reticle as a backup then they got something. Imagine hitting some Muj at 600 with 1 or 2 shots. That's a game changer. Basically Aimbot
This technology was demonstrated in Iran successfully
Tracking point has been around for a long time now.. surprised that this tech isn’t much cheaper by now
Does a bullet not normally hit what's in front of it?
If the shot were instantaneous, and unaffected by environment, then yes. But until soldiers are armed with laser guns, in reality it's not,. A lead rifle round has both mass and limited velocity (~750 m/s), so is effected by range (the rounds drops due to gravity), wind, air density and much moreso if the target is moving, even at point blank range of 100m, it needs skilful shooter to hit a moving man sized target - it would take about 0.15 seconds to reach the target - you can do the maths to work out how far a running man can move in that time, but its easily enough to "miss by miles".
In the time it takes it to “acquire” you could have sent 5-6 that way and landed regardless. Imagine this clunker in CQB vs someone suppressing on you. Cool concept though.
Israeli tech at its best
See ... Counter Strike tech was way ahead of it’s time. 😂🤣
What's it gonna look like when two armies have these?
They didn't think it through that one. Lol.
iamchillydogg I’ve thought about this too. You know they are developing this technology for drones too. Then they have a precise shot with no collateral damage. Couple it with night vision? Personal armor will become more evolved. The battle field will spread out. Infra red detection will be enhanced out to the horizon but that won’t be enough. Move this technology into larger calibers, say 20mm and larger then you control a huge range from just one fixed weapon or extended with overlapping emplacements, manned or unmanned. What about hunting? Ethical kill ranges are doubled or tripled.
This will take skill out of warfare.
FreddieWong actually described movie gun fight logic in a way that does give some insight into how competing armies will use these optics with conventional firearms.
Basically, it's two sides fighting each other with lasers, whenever one of the lasers is pointed at someone, and they don't have any kind of cover, they get shot.
Now, I think the rifle will be replaced by some kind of repeating grenade launcher like the MX25, PAW, or just more widely issued versions of existing weapons like the US Marines and PLA already have. Because these sights make it more important to have a chemical or explosive effect to your projectiles.
MAD ...
What do they retail for?
Just hope the batteries don't run out
Ha ha ha. You told the right thing. But there are some nation who don't fear to die. That's the fearest thing I have ever knew. Is this tech can save us from those nation?
@@atique_71
Also how is it in the rain....if it gets muddy...if you drop your rifle? Still SCIENCE marches on.
Or emp
@@atique_71 There should be a battery saver mode...LOL.
P.O.G. Rifle
I have mixed eMotion about this. It’s a skill killer too. A couple years back I test fired three different Tracking Point rifles in NV. With a Lapua I was able to easily place three for three rounds into 3” at 1,200 yards. I’m not that good. Make no mistake, I’m 2A all the way. However, any crack head with zero skill can shoot expert with one of these. No sacrifice, no conditioning, no training, no skill. I guess training would evolve to focus on cover and concealment only? I guess there may be some plus side for the non-combatants on an urban battlefield? Maybe drug dealers are going to need to live in a bunker? The logical response is the development of a bullet proof exoskeleton? FIIK...
Even if these things get banned, nefarious elements will have access to them regardless.
You can't stop technology from advancing.
Also, I'm reasonably sure that cover and concealment is already a fairly large part of training lol
Wurzel ... Please don’t think I am advocating a ban. I’m 2A all the way. I didn’t say that above. Yes, if outlawed outlaws will get it. With re to the cover and concealment... what I was saying is that because of this technology, cover and concealment becomes the primary if not only curriculum left to teach. This computer is doing the balance. I’m just pointing out some downside, primarily it being a skill killer.
@@Doc.Holiday Okay
I'd still don't think that cover and concealment would become the only thing left to teach though. It would still be very important for your soldiers to be able to still fight effectively in case their electronic sight fails.
Also, it seems to me that just using the thing like a red dot would be faster in close quarters at least, rather than than acquiring and locking onto your target with the computer.
Wurzel Okay, okay. Please strike/ignore the three words “if not only” behind “primary”. I stand corrected.
Wurzel w/re to a red dot in close quarters... you might just be stating the obvious?
Not Sig, but Smash from Israel. 😎
Party killer
Some Black Ops II shit
A person or group will reverse engineer one of these devices in less than 10 years, and will then mass produce them, they may even be cheap. 1,200 yards is 0.68 miles(1097 meters) - If you are afraid, you are not alone, technology like this is going to change the world, again.
Then you need access to the chips and the source code to build the reversed engineered weapon, both of which will undoubtedly be under close government control. Then you need a good rifle, sticking it onto a badly maintained, worn AK47 with the group size of a small elephant, isn't going to improve matters much. But the real answer is, why would most third world armies or terrorist organisations care? they 'll just empty the full magazine towards the target in the hope that one of 30 rounds will hit . this is a very expensive scalpel suited for very precise situations, when for most a sledge hammer will do the same job. Even for western infantry its just extra weight to lug around which for 99.99% of rounds fired isn't needed.
Are you talking about China?Buddy
I sure hope they thought it through enough to shield it from an EMP.
Marty Brozek if you are close enough to a nuclear device that an emp impacts you you are doing something wrong
@@felixs6795 in this day and age anything is possible at any time unfortunately.
Marty Brozek in case you didnt get what im saying: Small scale emps do not exist
@@felixs6795 or do they ????
Not science...but engineering haha
Why can't you get a cheap rifle scope, aim and shoot? what's a difference does this tech brings?
When you are in a mission, tired and sweating, it is difficult to aim. Your aim starts shaking as you get tired. This tech fixes it for you. It shoots after self acquiring the target and corrects your mistakes.
is it israeli ?
yes. IDF already use it and also the US.
@@bob-wo3ir wow, and are there already upgrades ? who was the first to use it ?
What happens when an EMP is set off?
If your mother had wheels she would have been a bike
@@UnderscoreZeroLP doesn't make sense. Try again
Israeli tech infact they invented this.
Gomer comments by shooter.
a piece of cardboard... Paint it like a brick wall...
The game devs have mad a big mistake now all newbies will use this technology weapon, I ask for nerf of this weapon, please nerf this is not fair or I'll quit the game
