I have tasted many irish dishes but when I saw the reactions of Irish people trying american deserts it was a great sight that I haven't seen before I think that there should more taste programs such as this . Being a reviewer my general opinion is a good program that Irish people have never seen American food before but this was a very good program .

Life-long Chicagoan and never heard of this either. I've seen it done of course (many fruit toppings in fact) but it's not a "Chicago" thing.

Most foods are modified versions of a "base" food. I don't understand why they couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that cheese cake varieties also follow this method. Are they also surprised that a burger consists of a bun or a protein?
