      Made one for my neighbor. I was making a C2C blanket for my mom, ran out of yarn with only 48 stitches to go, on Christmas eve, and she was at Walmart and found the yarn and got me not just 1 skein but 3! So I took some yarn and made a cowl for her.
      Thank you

    I just have 2 requests (or questions). 1 how do you close the bottom bc mine has a V where the very bottom stitches aren’t closed. 2 at the very end when doing the single stitch it would be great if you videoed it from the side so we can see where your putting the hook.

    That was my first time with the crab stitch. You did a great job describing it, and it’s a very cute finishing stitch. My piece turned out okay. Since I am a self-taught crocheter, I always struggle with what’s the last stitch in the row, so it leaves my piece looking a little uneven. Any advice you have on this is appreciated!

      Haha! I'm so glad that you were able to make the basket and figure out the crab stitch! That's a big accomplishment. I think I know what you're struggling with. Here's a link to my masterclass (I highly recommend taking the whole class or at least looking it over to see if it will help) and in Lesson 10 I talk about crocheting in the round. It should help. Make sure you come back and let me know if it helped 😊 ruclips.net/video/npUnNdRVyXE/видео.html

      Andrea, in response to your having trouble recognizing the last stitch, I suggest you attach a maker at the last stitch made. Move it up as you go. That's how I teach it to my students. Eventually, you'll be able to "recognize" the last stitch and won't need the marker.
      Hope this helps. 😊

    • @SigoniMacaroni
      @SigoniMacaroni  3 года назад +1

      Hi Kiki! That depends on your personal tension, but this cowl is about 22 inches in circumference, so I would create a chain that's about that long

      @@SigoniMacaroni So you can make any amount of chains? Doesn’t need to be even or odd numbers?

    I want to try this pattern for my toddler. How long do you think I should make it? Does it have to have an odd number chain to start?

  • @jross022
    @jross022 3 года назад

    How would you start this for a 7 year old girl? Chains? and rounds?

    • @SigoniMacaroni
      @SigoniMacaroni  3 года назад +3

      This pattern starts by creating the circumference, so to resize you would adjust the number of chains. If you can, drape a tape measure around her neck and adjust it to find your desired cowl circumference. Your chain will also need to be worked in multiples of 2+1. The height will depend on the number of rows. You can make it as short or as tall as you like. I hope this helps!

    I'm sorry, but the mini-bean stitch is NOT beginner friendly 😭 or maybe I'm just have no talent for crocheting? My hook keeps getting stuck on the third loop and pulling it through the frist and second loop together with the last one. I don't get how to avoid that, it's driving me insane.

    • @ruthleaming6228
      @ruthleaming6228 Месяц назад

      I have found if I am crocheting too tightly I get caught easier in my loops. Hold your yarn a little looser in your tension hand. You can then wiggle the hook a little easier to pull in through the stitch. Hope this helps.
