I remember a comment one of the men who arrested one of the terrorists made, saying "You didn't bring it (referring to the tower bombed) down. The terrorist answered and said, "Not yet."
That was in the documentary The Man Who Knew.
I know those agents will never see this comment but I thank all of them for their hard work and dedication in bringing down the people that are evil enough to do such horrible things...never take our agencies for granted

*MAJOR OMISSION* Khalid Sheikh Mohammed wired $660 from Qatar to WTC bomber Mohammed Salameh on 3 Nov 1992. FBI tried to arrest KSM in 1996 Qatar, but failed due to suspected warning given to KSM by a Qatari royal. This documentary was released in 1998 but makes no mention of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed or Qatar; I wonder what other key details they left out??!!

Wouldn't say they got away with it. They were suicide attacks in the first place, and the bin laden had to go into hiding which meant he couldn't effectively lead Al Queda and evenrually he ended up dead.
Also, by choosing to go through with the attacks he doomed sooooo many more Afghan, and in turn Iraqi, civilians. But I suppose he might not have cared as he was from Saudi Arabia anyway. Idk, I just see it as a horrendous loss of life on both sides.

Designed to be hit by largest commercial plane at the time in the 1960's, 727, lost in fog, low on fuel, moving relatively slowly on approach to LaGuardia or JFK. They were hit by much larger jets, moving at 550mph, carrying 10,000 gallons of jet fuel. It's amazing they lasted as long as they did.

I remember this horrific incident all to well I had worked at the WTC doing security at the time, and I had saw the damage that was done in person.

The exact words were “to stop something as unimaginable as a fully fueled jet.” Its chilling. I don’t believe in coincidence. The building did stop the jet till “they” decided to “pull it.”
But there where no airplanes on 9/11 ??

@@MrJvchef nobody pulled anything. The plane crashes left three-sided holes in each Tower which means it severed several columns. The fact that the Buildings didn't collapse faster was a small miracle

Yeah it's really something to think about. Honestly it's hard to watch this knowing what happened almost a decade later. I was 5 on 9/11 but I remember it like a picture in my head. I watched it happen live on TV and even at that age I remember it washing over me, like a wave almost, that all those people were just dying as I watched it and there was nothing anyone could do.
The government had so much intel yet they din stop 9/11

1. Planes in the 1960s were not comparable at all to the jumbo jets used in the 2001 attacks. Size, speed, engines.... They evolved a lot over that span of time so the claim is still accurate, just not applicable if that makes sense.
2. The building that was designed by the engineer was unfortunately not the building we ended up with. During construction changed were made which decreased the effectiveness of safety features to increase floor space and certain support features of the building that were meant to be reinforced with concrete were not reinforced.
And of course, the individuals responsible- they were thinking about money about time. Sure there was the idea of making the building safe for a plane crashing into it but they were probably thinking they wouldn't need that extra reinforcement because whose gonna be flying a plane into a building. And if that did happen, they likely assumed it'd be an accident and the pilot would be trying to avoid the towers so it wouldn't hit dead on, right? They had no way of knowing how absolutely wrong they would be.

Reporting the Van stolen before the blast was foolish on their part. They could of easily got pulled over and got the van confiscated.

believe it or not, that was the least foolish thing that they did in this whole ordeal.
I want to thank all the agents who fight behind the scenes to keep my family free I know that freedom has a heavy price that so many who gave all. I was thinking how far technology has came since 1994 and even 2001 they would have never gotten past the pay station with that Ryder van without it and the people in it being searched for top to bottom I payed my respects to all the people who passed on 9/11 god bless America and all who fight to protect us my prayers will always be with you.
It's strange how in most ID line ups each person should generally resemble each other (appearance,race,height,age) but with the storage shed employe witness ID line up all have moustaches or beards and are older in appearance but the main suspect hasn't got any facial hair at all and is clearly younger then the rest....??

I am not American so not aware of the background and politics around this atrocity but nonetheless I found it very interesting and full of new knowledge for me.
This was just as well as I found the frequency and timing of the many adverts to be most irritating. If the content were not so rivetting I would have given up.
I appreciate the adverts are necessary to help fund the production but ask if it is possible to avoid them noisily arriving in mid sentence with no warning?
Perhaps position them at planned and appropriate time and just give a small warning like "ad break" or something? I have seen this done on another narrative type channel with output requiring thought and concentration of the listener/viewer.
I know I have the option to pay RUclips to go "ad free" but that seems like a dishonest business model to me - unfair to advertiser's who pay for their messages to be displayed and then I also pay RUclips not to see them.
You don’t understand how paid advertising works. They get paid the more people view their adds that’s why if you don’t want to see the adds you pay a small fee. They only make money if people are guaranteed to view the ads.
@@TinyTinaTeaParty I understand and agree with your reply but I think you missed the thrust of my comment i.e. yes the ads are necessary but please find a way to place them at more appropriate points in the video, not in mid sentence where the author is trying to explain something complex or important. That is all I ask.
Incidentally I have a software that downloads RUclips and other videos but seamlessly excludes the ads, I use it for music and some narratives that I want to listen to many times over from my personal storage, you then I don't suffer the ads.

Unsurprisingly, this little documentary leaves out some pretty important details, most important of which being the FBI was well aware and assisted in this terrorist plot through an FBI informant who was in talks with them the entire way was originally led to believe they were going to make a fake bomb then told him at the last second plans had changed and as he told them the attack was about to take place they failed to act and eventually said it was due to oversight and bad communication which is so laughable you have to laugh to keep from crying. Funny enough we would have never known of their involvement and awareness of the plot except for the fact that the informant grew suspicious and began recording his conversations with the FBI which they were less than pleased about because it appeared they were ready to have themselves a Patsy. And this is not an isolated event there are several substantiated without question plots of mass casualty or assassination attempts in the homeland that the FBI was involved in one way or another. Even the events That people like to dispute have so much circumstantial evidence surrounding them and the FBI and or CIA is only one degree removed from the plot in several parts of an event you have to be willfully ignorant or just genuinely dishonest to not believe these Alphabutt agencies are possibl wreaking more terror on the American public than any radical cell could dream of. Don’t let them make you feel silly or write you off for ever being immediately suspicious of any attack on the homeland because they’ve more than proven themselves capable and willing participants in such events. For whatever reason we can’t fully know. Once you realize the full nature of what this means it’s quite a frightening proposition and you have to empathize with those who rather look away and not face the reality that is quite alarming
