    I saw this review and bought this bike from green mopeds. Jeremy is a very genuine and honest guy. The bike is simply great for A to B commutes. Great after sales service too. Highly recommend.

    In your experience what would you have the Horwin or the soco tc max ?
    I had a demo on the Horwin absolutely loved it ...👍

      Usually the decision to be made is based on choosing one with a fixed battery or removable. The range and speed are comparable

    Thanks for the review. I found myself toying with the idea of getting a small electric bike. Small primarily because of funds. Used 11kW Zeros go for around 8K EUR here in my market, new ones or Energicas are completely beyond. Well then, it's something like Super Soco TC max, Horwin CR6 or Horwin CR6 pro. With the latter, I find the idea of having a 5 speed box rather unusual with an electric bike. Not so much when I think about my past and current bikes. For the time being, I got an 40yrs old BMW R65 and frankly I got a bit tired of all the care and maintenance required. On the other hand, the performance and range of CR6 and TC max are not breathtaking at all. Another RUclips channel from Austria tested the CR6 and I was somehow disappointed to find out that CR6 can scratch the road surface when riding curves even before tires lose their grip...would have not expected that from a bike without an exhaust and centre stand. Foot brake and missing right hand lever makes sense when thinking about the pro with the manual gear shift box. What makes no sense to me is showing the engine revs...looks like they were using a petrol's bike instrument cluster. There are virtually zero reviews of the CR6 pro on RUclips and I still feel undecided between Horwin CR6 and TC Max. As for the price gap, the TC max imho needs a better charger, wich would add another EUR 350-450 to the list. Big disadvantage of both that even with fast charging, the charging speed is so slow that both do not qualify for a longer trip. In addition to that, one probably would have to tinker a Type2 charge port adapter to adapt either bike to a public EV charger (at least in my country).

      I have a horwin cr6. Very good bike if you don't need to take the highway. If you doubt between the TC max and the Horwin: try both. I am sure you will quickly conclude that the horwin is far higher quality. And it is also just bigger. You get a lot more bike. Also a bit extra range. And smoother ride (trottle control)

    I like that it has a fixed battery as I see that as a good thing from a security perspective as there is a huge problem of targeted or opertunist battery thefts and mose electric bikes have pretty crap ways of securing the battery, the Zero can be stolen with a screw driver the soco well the tank cover is plastic so you can literally pull it open with one hand and then rake the battery lock and the Kollter ES-1 Pro has seat made out of a wet noodle with the 2 batteries below that that are not locked in. This is why I have been looking at the Horwin but i just wish they did not have the start sound or at least away to disable it.

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  4 года назад

      Yes there are some advantages to fixed batteries but removing the batteries for charging and therefore stopping the bike from being ridden off has usually been seen by our customers as more advantageous. Surely the startup sound isn't really stopping you from buying it?

    • @EQINOX187
      @EQINOX187 3 года назад

      @@GreenMopeds Well true removing the battery would help but if you park at a car park while to do shopping or something else it is not always practical to lug around a battery and some employers will not allow you to bring the battery into the building but also removing the battery saved the battery but makes the bike even lighter and more susceptible to being lifted away, plus where i work they have a charge point that has a waterproof standard 3 pin plug output so i would charge it at work and so a fixed battery would remove the fear of battery theft especially since most insurance company's do not cover this. As for the sound sadly it is, I have a lot of friends and family that are bikers and when i test rode a Horwin i loved the handling and power but every time i turned it or or started it up people would out right laugh or smirk when they hear the sound, and like i said i have friends and family that are bikers and it is hard for them to take electric bikes seriously and less so when you have a start sound that makes it seem cheap and tacky which is sad, it is not unlike early smart phones and computers that had a start sound and they quickly died out for a reason and removed the start sound as it was undesirable to the consumer, and so if it was undesirable on a phone or computer why would you want a car park hearing when you turn on your bike be any more desirable, I still like the Horwin and really want one but i have been holding that purchase trigger until there is a way to disable that start song.

      @@EQINOX187 so if I can find a way to disable to start up sound, you would buy one? Where are you based?

    • @EQINOX187
      @EQINOX187 3 года назад

      @@GreenMopeds Based in Scotland, and I have looked into options to disable it but as far as i can tell there is no official way, many with the bike have taken to physically disabling the speaker however from what i understand the same speaker is also used for the alarm and i think also the horn so not exactly a wise thing to do and not something i would want to do, the only other option is if there is a hidden command much like the speed unlock on the super soco where you do a combination of things to change a setting but beyond that it would need a software modification i think

    I appreciate the footbrake, I prefer it as this would be a second bike, and that muscle memory kicks in. Shame they went with combined brakes rather than ABS, would pay for it if it was an option.

      Thank you. Many people are concerned or interested in regeneration on these bikes. Remember that even if they do, they will add just 2 to 3 miles range because they typically get back about 5%
