NEW Buffed Blissey Build *New Blissey Meta??* - Pokémon Unite

- The only change from the recent patch (besides holowear and maybe bug fixes?) is that Blissey got both a special defense boost and Safegaurd got buffed. Now you get an instant shield when cast, so does your ally, plus it's original hinderance cleanse. It's really fun and I can see this being the preferred choice for teams. It really stops Pokémon like wiggly from ruining your carry. 2 back to back Master rank matches. Yeehaw!

Other than god slayer Wigglytuff, Blissey is probably my favorite supporter to lane with, and I feel like the Safeguard buffs are pretty viable and will make it an even better lane
True I had some games that no one of my team died in a standard match with safeguard also it's so fun watching machamp use submission and grab the air when I use safeguard
CC is what of the most effective and rage inducing tactics to use in many different games and negating that CC and a shield can be just the difference between life and death when used properly. That sounds like a great buff.
Blissey is so good now after the safeguard change. Being a Morgana main from LoL feels great playing as Blissey
I've been playing safeguard blissy last night and it's so amazing. My team have more surving ability now. Safeguard plus helping hand 👌👌

I don’t think we’ve seen true fear till we see a leaf tornado/cotton guard eldegoss working with a helping hand/safeguard blissey and simply speeding down the lane to demolish you all while being difficult to kill with their shields.
This was what I had last night actually. I was fixing my items and when game was ready, I saw we were bulbasaur, crustle, wiggly, and edelgoss. I was wiggly and edelgoss was warrior build. I was like “okay let’s see” and we kicked ass hard haha. Poor greninja got good by a bunch of supports. Sadly was the very match that I found out I reached max 100 clips. And ofc ranked.
Oh wait, sans safeguard…. I think. Not sure anymore but it was quite a team regardless
I don't know if "better", but it now feels like you can actually make a decision, since SG wasn't worth running before imo.
Also makes running both eldegoss and blissey a little more viable. Before, all the healing felt redundant. Maybe now it's more worthwhile.
I've been loving fluffy tail on blissey. I've been smarter about my positioning, and not needing eject nearly as much. Having fluffy and helping hand together let me really turn up the team damage on objectives. Also helps farm if I'm babysitting a carry.

I feel your sentiment with the solo q. I should really say that I’m not great at this game just yet, but I try to get better. I just played a game where I filled with Ninetales and called top. Then everyone who didn’t call lane went top, so I went down to bot to join Wiggly. We held bot with the two of us the entire game, taking both Dreds and occasionally stealing enemy jungle and helping top, with our team never rotating bot. We went into Zap with nearly a full 300 point advantage and the exp advantage. While Wiggly and I got KOd trying to keep opponents from dunking 50s after the 2 minute mark, the rest of the team started taking Zap as soon as it spawned. Wiggly and me were on spawn timer, the enemy sniped Zap and we lost by almost a 150 point margin. Just had to vent about this somewhere, these matches just make me sad :[

Dude, never give up on 1 point, I have 2 ties (won both) and 1 win with a +1 score. Never was on the wrong end of it when it was this close, but a point is a point.
I had a team that also took 3rd Drednaw. I just made it a point to safe guard most of my team before they even got setup at Zapdos. I safe guarded at least 3 of them and the last teammate as we met up at Zapdos. Blissey has a passive that cleanses debuffs on itself. Blissey safe guard is damn good. We got Zapdos that game too, didn't even need it.

Dude safe guard + score shield is so good, and the hindrance immunity is already really good to save teammates from any type of cc.
if/when they add another heal based support that feels strong in the meta this blissey build with (x) healer may feel overwhelming strong
That second match is what I deal with all the time and the reason I can't claw myself out of ultra
That is not so bad I have met master randoms that are not even attacking zapdos and drednaw but instead only attack rotom very fun

I think that zapdos in second game was the right call. The enemy team was clearly trying to score and you had full map control. Even with drednaw debuff if you all just burned zapdos down instead of trying to stop them from scoring they wouldn't be able to get back and defend it and you basically are guaranteed to win at that point if done correctly. But it's hard to get everyone on the same page in random matches for things like that.
If you time it correctly you can use safeguard to counter Wiggly and K.O it,which is huge
Safeguard Blissey totally caught me off guard when I was playing as Wigglytuff. Like I really couldn't do anything to my opponents.

id like to play blissey but solo youll never find yourself surrounded by allies like this. i guess blissey works best in master or teams, otherwise you will be all by yourself with very low dmg output
All his allies in this game with blissey weren't masters. 3 were ultra tho.

Yes
I think the idea of taking Dread right before Zap in order to get a shield for defending better is good in theory, but what if they take your team and you have no choice but to try and steal back zap? You’d have a lot harder of a time doing that with the debuff.

Yea there are many times where we are kicking butt but then my team attacks zap costing us the fight. This last match I had yesterday we were losing badly. They took all drednawd kills and took out all four of our goals and I felt I was the only one trying since ppl kept trying to quit. 3 of them that is. Enemy starts to attack zap and I go in and take the kill. We dunk on them and take the win. Perfect example that you can turn the tide in the end and to not attack zap if you are winning lol
Seeing how good Safeguard is I definitely now want to get Blissey.

What does he mean by the Drednaw "debuff" for fighting Zapdos? Do you do less damage on Zapdos with a Drenaw shield active?
Basically yes. After your team beats Dred, they'll deal 55% less damage to Zapdos during the 90 seconds following taking Dred out. That's why, ideally, you shouldn't attack Dred after the 03:30 mark, so the debuff is gone by the time Zapdos appears.

Found out the hard way that Safeguard Blissey, much like Wigglytuff, makes Crustle totally useless.

Great video, I honestly wasn't interested in Blissey until now.
I've always thought Blissey's Softboiled was way too weak. It doesn't properly scale off your level like other moves, just your special attack, so it's always felt underwhelming and unimpactful. So sadly now Refresh is this good, it's just the default go to option and Softboiled is useless. Massive shame as I was looking forwards to Blissey being the main support healer of this game, but I guess it's just a buff support.
personally, i think it was a matter of ur level that affected the softboiled - and blissey can be pretty hard to level up since it's a support character. i'd say it's pretty good in certain life or death situations like an even matched cinderace vs. cinderace fight. that and if you save ur softboileds, u can spam them and save ur allies time to rebase or take a berry. i generally look at the opponent's team before deciding which to go for (like if they have a wigglytuff/gengar/ninetales, i'd go for safeguard); but not gonna lie, safeguard absolutely crushes softboiled now in terms of utility.

Is Safeguard single target ally or can it hit multiple allies if they fit in the cone zone?
Single target
Blissey is single target support whereas Eldegoss is AOE support

I think cone if you use right stick aiming but vicinity if only using the ZR

I jungled as Blissey right before the patch for 266 points, 6 kills and 8 assists. Yes, jungled for the lolz because so many don't understand the game that it can be done. Safeguard is good but I still like softboiled a bit better. Both are viable options.

There are a couple vids on my channel about the Drednaw debuff. Don’t have the links in front of me but it’s pretty important info.
When you defeat dreadnaw your whole team gets a 55% damage reduction debuff to zapdos for 90 seconds.

Look at the top right corner. The decoration there is the rank.
Begginer: nothing.
Great: red color.
Expert: blue color.
Veteran: blue-ish curve.
Ultra: orange/pink curve.
Master: blue/white curve.

It’s tough to say. Solo if your team doesn’t know what you were doing then I think soft boiled is probably easier to support with. However safeguard really counters certain things and helps you keep someone like Greninja or Cinderace alive

I don't know if the non healing options are better than the healing ones but that being said, imagine if you had both Blissey AND Eldegoss and ONE of them has healing, yeah I can see you mix it up with either safeguard or even cotton spore (which is better than people give it credit for)

safeguard is waaaay better - better from the buff and better than softboiled. it's a weird way to think of it but the extra shield kinda acts as a heal in that it adds to ur hp bar and it's more spammable than softboiled. that and even if u spam all ur softboileds on an ally, somehow they just don't register that they're healed and they go for the berry anyway. also it apparently blocks knockback (slowbro's surf and snorlax's heavy slam) along with wigglytuff's sing, and alolan ninetales's freeze. and ur bound to find at least one of those in any match.
