This movie actually expands on Bodhi’s ideas on the spiritual side of the adrenaline rush from the first one. I don’t get how people didn’t appreciate this movie because of that. They were faithful to the character of Bodhi in a awesome way and the action is better than the first no doubt.

They should have named this Point Break 2 and make the lead Johnny Utah's son and changed the other character names. It would have been a hit movie. Instead, it feels like an insult to the original. Don't remake iconic movies, Hollywood!
Please do not fuck up what was already a successful movie. Seriously. The original Point Break was perfect on every level and you feel the need to now alter that and try and modernise it? You are about to create a horrible remake and worse yet, give the original movie a bad name.
***** What pisses me off, I grew up with the old one too, and I would rather see something entirely new then go and pay for something that I have already seen, with better actors. I won't be see this at the theatre.
To everyone on point break, I know about what's happened to you too, I really wanted to surf and because you made this movie you suffered, some day I will surf with all of you, everyone can come later too
I loved the original Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze it was one of the first Cop movies I saw growing up... This remake looks.... Ok to a certain degree... But releasing it on CHRISTMAS isn't what I would consider a smart tactic especially since it's going up against STAR WARS Episode 7...
QuestionmarkX3 Except Keanu Reeves "bad acting" is really what makes the movie that much greater. Also in my eyes there is only one Point Break for me, because "I AM AN F....B.....I..... AGENT!"
Ok, those of us, being in our teens in 90's, just love the original with Keanu, Patrick and Gary. It's a part of our generation. But if you put the remake aside and don't compare, you'll find out the whole team did an outstanding job! Don't compare those two movies - they are different. But the creators pushed the borders, showing us amazing skills and besides acting is not cheap at all. As for me, this is a very good movie and definitely one of my favorites. Good job.
+Self Stirring Pot : Remake of Beverly Hills Cop, scene for scene, with Kevin Hart...and get current SNL cast to be good cop/bad cop of BHPD. Couldn't be any worse than getting a new Spider-man every other year. Reduce, reuse, re-hollywood....it's a California motto.
I love the original "Point Break" so im extremely excited about this. Camera Video/Audio technology has improved tremendously since the original skydiving scene along with the snowboarding, proximity flying and rock climbing is gunna make this an adrenaline junkies dream lifestyle in 1 film!
The emotions of the movie touched me while watching it as well as its message, which is a great thing and it is worth watching again. Some people love to go to the bush or the margin instead of going to the point and the real meaning. I don' t know but I bet am not the only one who felt this way. I recommend this movie.
No no no no no no.. you got it all wrong, the original was part of my childhood and this.. thing isn't even close to giving me that magical feeling of the original Warner Bros you F'in with the memories a generations history.
I'm already predicting Honest Trailers: "Starring: Chris Hemsworth 2.0 Kristen Stewart 2.0 aka Shovel Face, Weren't you that dude from Bourne Ultimatum? In this year's most redundant re-made Summer Blockbuster, 'Point Break'...with no Keanu Reeves or Patrick Swayze"
no this movie is 100x better than than the original. top 5 favorite movies. stronger message, more sports, better stunts, better acting, better production. this movie rocks
I was entertained. You have to take this movie for what it was intended to be, and compare that against your expectations. When you first sit down to watch, you are expecting a play by play remake of the original, and while there were significant references to the original, they obviously wanted to make a modern movie while keeping the core principals in tact for the most part. Broaden your expectations, and I think you will enjoy this flick.
I'll add, while the movie was very entertaining and very beautifully shot, it is very "fast and furious-esquire", in that you have to remember it is just a movie and of course exaggerated.
gabe guay I certainly did not! The trailer already looks crappy. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG with Hollywood these days? I mean, sure, remake some 1920s black and white movies if you must - or remake some 1960s fantasy movies if they were really cheaply executed - but even then don't overdo the fracking CGI stuff. Well, whatever... not gonna pay one cent for this!
What an amazing remake of the orignal 1991 patrick sways point break!! The original is a classic but this is by far the best remake of a classic that i have ever seen! Emotional, and exhilarating !!
+john doe which verse in the bible says not to do extreme sports? You sir, are an idiot. And a coward which is the reason why you post anonymously as John Doe.
Bodhi kills the cop in the bank Robbery in the original and when Utah catches him at the end he mentions bodhi killing rosey as well so he did kill a few folk
I, for one, am extremely excited about this movie .. the original was great but the advancement in technology and the extreme sports genre will make this an adrenaline junkies dream. The old point break just showed pics of Bodie rock climbing, snowboarding ect... but this one incorporates the working motion. . So im extremely excited to see how they tie this all together ..
So... another movie were most people are mad because it's a remake? Well I havn't watched the old one (what is it called?) Please just let people like me watch it without saying it's bad before even watching the movie! If you don't want to watch the movie don't cry about it, just not watch the movie...
+Mads Madsen I guess I will have to actually explain why people are mad. It's a shame that you did not see the original 1991 Point Break movie. The solution to this is to watch a 1991 Point Break movie, it's good and you would enjoy it. What is stupid - is to remake that said movie, wasting studio time and money on a film that already exists, instead of making something new, creative, great and interesting. ALSO, this remake is not as good as the original film, so it's like "Hey, do you like your old t-shirt? Well we've made one to look exactly like it, it looks old and worn, but it's new. It's also uncomfortable as hell, you're welcome. Thankfully you did not want a new comfortable T-shirt with some new cool design".
+flimsyshow I saw both and I definitely loved this new one better ..way better. people tend to like the original mainly only because it's The original but Hollywood see something that people considered good and want to make it better for the newer generation. I think this movie deserves a lot of credit for the amount of stunts and how they pull them off..you felt like you were in the movie especially like the 3-D version.
LOL , was that a line from the movie ? Doesn't seem like the movie even paid any attention to the law of gravity. But honestly I couldn't even watch it past the opening scene. Could have been a better movie if they had both fallen off the cliff there. Then roll the credits.
I just came back from the movie, I got to say this movie is FREAKING AMAZING. (Singapore released the movie on 3rd Dec) He did fire the gun in the air and shout AHHH. The occupancy of the hall was decent, especially on the opening day morning.
Thats hell of a movie!!! Loved it i wish they make a sequel. I had it on my list for sooo long on netflix but i didnt know how good it is until i watched it. Beautiful true friendship and brotherhood.
Why are you saying its a bad remake? The movie isn't even freaking out and you know practically nothing about it. Don't judge a movie before you've seen it.

They should have named this Point Break 2 and make the lead Johnny Utah's son and changed the other character names. It would have been a hit movie. Instead, it feels like an insult to the original. Don't remake iconic movies, Hollywood!
I couldn't stop laughing when he said "I believe these people are like me. Extreme athletes". It went so well up until that point. Just lol!
Love this remake, and love the original.
Most underrated movie ever.
Please do not fuck up what was already a successful movie. Seriously. The original Point Break was perfect on every level and you feel the need to now alter that and try and modernise it? You are about to create a horrible remake and worse yet, give the original movie a bad name.
*****
***** What pisses me off, I grew up with the old one too, and I would rather see something entirely new then go and pay for something that I have already seen, with better actors.
I won't be see this at the theatre.
98brandon22 here here
98brandon22 This doesn't change anything the original did. It doesn't erase it from existence. You can sleep easy/
About to create? It's most likely wrapping up filming and going into editing at this point. It's been made. Now it's only inevitable to release.
If anyone is interested in this movie i would HIGHLY recommend it. Great story, just wish it could have lasted longer.
FINALLY someone who likes it. Thanks! I loved it too. No offence to anyone
+Smurfadelis I found it so boring lol. but if you liked it then ok.. but I don't understand how you would like it tho .. it was TERRIBLE!!
+Smurfadelis It was such a good movie
To everyone on point break, I know about what's happened to you too, I really wanted to surf and because you made this movie you suffered, some day I will surf with all of you, everyone can come later too
Is Gary busey's character in this?
cruman87 i would love to get gary busey to play his character again i would love that
cruman87 good point
cruman87 Yes, Ray Winstone is playing him.
cruman87 there was some grizzled looking dude in there who I assumed was his character
Megan E Yep - love Ray Winstone, and it does look like he's standing in as the Gary Busey character.
Point Break was a legendary movie.... sequel should be called Pointless Break.
***** well he didn't say to release it on the second weekend...
***** then why are you talking about Star Wars on the second weekend?
They know star wars will rule the box office for a month so they can blame the movie bombing spectacularly on that
***** but what does the second weekend have to do with the main comment?
I have not seen a better trailer that has given so much of the movie away
Christ, they're moving on to the 90s with these remakes. It's only a matter of time before they hit 'Seven' and 'Good Will Hunting'.
This is Point Break in name only. Also, the stunts look great, but the acting looks terrible.
*****
touche
There will never be another bodiee.....( Patrick swayze
QuestionmarkX3 Except Keanu Reeves "bad acting" is really what makes the movie that much greater. Also in my eyes there is only one Point Break for me, because "I AM AN F....B.....I..... AGENT!"
The acting in the original was terrible. Who are you kidding...
QuestionmarkX3 lol what stunts? I could only see CGI...
i miss the old one
Ok, those of us, being in our teens in 90's, just love the original with Keanu, Patrick and Gary. It's a part of our generation. But if you put the remake aside and don't compare, you'll find out the whole team did an outstanding job! Don't compare those two movies - they are different. But the creators pushed the borders, showing us amazing skills and besides acting is not cheap at all. As for me, this is a very good movie and definitely one of my favorites. Good job.
Pointless.
Point Fixed
I get shy when I sit at the Costco table section
Baloneys
Oh give it a break...
And an insult to Pat Swayze's memory, at that.
Sleepy Skunk Point made.
When is Goodfellas coming out and what about Fight Club?
Jim Davis First rule of Slap Club ....
+Self Stirring Pot How about the Crying game with Caitlyn Jenner..
***** Why not? Same Jews who produced Casino are still making movies.
Self Stirring Pot Because everything's so PC now
I love the original "Point Break" so im extremely excited about this. Camera Video/Audio technology has improved tremendously since the original skydiving scene along with the snowboarding, proximity flying and rock climbing is gunna make this an adrenaline junkies dream lifestyle in 1 film!
If you havent seen the old point break then id think you'd enjoy this movie alot more
Personally i loved it
The new one that is
@@noahviitala They should've got Chris Hemsworth instead to play Utah
I saw the original in theaters when it came out, had to walk out of the theater when I saw this.
The emotions of the movie touched me while watching it as well as its message, which is a great thing and it is worth watching again. Some people love to go to the bush or the margin instead of going to the point and the real meaning. I don' t know but I bet am not the only one who felt this way. I recommend this movie.
Where you from ?
Belgium
I loved the 1st movie with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves ! And this one is exceptional too!
Названийа филим
No no no no no no.. you got it all wrong, the original was part of my childhood and this.. thing isn't even close to giving me that magical feeling of the original Warner Bros you F'in with the memories a generations history.
I loved the original point break but I just saw this one and it was AMAZING ! Totally recommend it.
No.
Just saw it I loved it too
@@MaxRager80 embrace the culture, folks
This looks super intense, even 30+ years later
This movie should be called: GoPro.
$110 million budget debuting the same week as Star Wars. Yep, this is gonna bomb.
There are some movies in life that you DON'T remake and Point Break is one of those. This is sacrilege !
seriously guys this was one of the best movie ever made...........
Just saw this movie. Enjoyed it a lot
***** You're pathetic.
***** You're pathetic.
***** Wrong, you're pathetic for judging someone based on their opinion of a movie, even worse when you have only seen 2 minutes of it.
+Jack Torrance Eat some shit bud
Agree
I watched this movie a lots of time, but still it doesn't bored, it gives goose bumps on every scene, what a movie it was.
I'm already predicting Honest Trailers:
"Starring:
Chris Hemsworth 2.0
Kristen Stewart 2.0 aka Shovel Face,
Weren't you that dude from Bourne Ultimatum?
In this year's most redundant re-made Summer Blockbuster, 'Point Break'...with no Keanu Reeves or Patrick Swayze"
no this movie is 100x better than than the original. top 5 favorite movies. stronger message, more sports, better stunts, better acting, better production. this movie rocks
Hmmm Hollywood must be running out of ideas. Give it 5 years and they'll do a remake of the remake
Hands down one of my favorite movies!
the original was better
Man you are not a big movie guy lol
You like weird things
@@charlyrc1144 The original was a different kind of movie for a more general audience. This one has it's niche.
I love this movie
Can't wait for the reboot where they all are empowering girls.
And utah is a lesbian
yeah that would actually be cool! I really loved Wonder Woman this year!
XD
This is deffo on the way 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
@@saggyt5496 that would be shit
I was entertained. You have to take this movie for what it was intended to be, and compare that against your expectations. When you first sit down to watch, you are expecting a play by play remake of the original, and while there were significant references to the original, they obviously wanted to make a modern movie while keeping the core principals in tact for the most part. Broaden your expectations, and I think you will enjoy this flick.
I'll add, while the movie was very entertaining and very beautifully shot, it is very "fast and furious-esquire", in that you have to remember it is just a movie and of course exaggerated.
Yes, finally! After 21 years of waiting, the uninspired pointless remake that nobody asked for is finally upon us! I can't wait to never watch this.
This movie was so effing epic i can’t even..
BRAAAH... WHERE'S KEANU?
***** John Wick was excellent. 47 Ronin? Um....John Wick was excellent thou.
honeyglow Yeah, but they could have resurrected Patrick Swayze and then made it so that Keanu was chasing him again after his escape from prison.
***** John Wick 2 confirmed... so yeah, wasn't shitty one of his better movies.
***** John Wick is a great action movie.
***** It may have a shitty storyline but everything else is great.
If there was ever a film that didn't need a remake
who asked for this?!?
gabe guay who do you think?
gabe guay Corporates at hollywood
Giorgi Tsurtsumia LOL
gabe guay I certainly did not! Well, whatever... not gonna pay one cent for this!
gabe guay This is the future, doing the same film over and over again!
This movie makes me so hopeful for that Memento remake
Here after Tony Stark called Thor "Point Break"
What an amazing remake of the orignal 1991 patrick sways point break!! The original is a classic but this is by far the best remake of a classic that i have ever seen! Emotional, and exhilarating !!
All of these extreme sports scenes look AMAZING! Wish I had the balls to do it myself. Much credit and support to those stunt guys. Very impressive!
+john doe which verse in the bible says not to do extreme sports? You sir, are an idiot. And a coward which is the reason why you post anonymously as John Doe.
Thanks Worm's World
LOL the one FBI Agent was a bad guy in the original

Kentucky Rifleman You're right! He was Nixon
Julien Charles
They change Bodhi’s character, in the first version he actually did not kill anyone and in this movie 🍿 he becomes a serial killer.
Bodhi kills the cop in the bank Robbery in the original and when Utah catches him at the end he mentions bodhi killing rosey as well so he did kill a few folk
@@darkspectraa Rosey wasn't killed by Bodhi, some unnamed person in México killed him.
this is really one of the best remake's i have seen.
But not realistic whereas the first one was.
Everyone in this Movie is way more Talented and Entertaining to watch than JOHN CENA

The Fast and Furious of ... mountains?
***** fast and the furious was a rip off of the original point break... these damn kids need to brush up on their movie knowledge
Rlow3 fast and the furious was a bit of a rip off of a Charlie Sheen / DB Sweeney movie called No Man's Land
buttnajam70@gmail.com
I, for one, am extremely excited about this movie .. the original was great but the advancement in technology and the extreme sports genre will make this an adrenaline junkies dream. The old point break just showed pics of Bodie rock climbing, snowboarding ect... but this one incorporates the working motion. . So im extremely excited to see how they tie this all together ..
Simply a visual delight! 3D on steroids. People complaining and comparing this with the original don't own a 3D TV 😔
It's impossible to be cooler that Patrick Swayze's Bodhi. Good luck, Edgar Ramirez.
They should've got Chris Hemsworth instead to play Utah
Amen. My son is named after his character
I love Bodhi in this movie. He's so cool
So... another movie were most people are mad because it's a remake?
Well I havn't watched the old one (what is it called?)
Please just let people like me watch it without saying it's bad before even watching the movie!
If you don't want to watch the movie don't cry about it, just not watch the movie...
+Mads Madsen Really? You should definitly watch the original 1991 Point Break film. It's actually pretty good. Check it out!
+Harrison Edgar

juandeldiablo696 I don't understand how this in any way affects the original.
Ciggy Bones this.
stop saying the original was good, fuck them, this'll ruin it.
old ones not going away.
juandeldiablo696 You are aware that you can dust off your VHS copy of the original anytime you want, right?
Sean K damn I love the original the plot was so simple but so original... I still have the VHS
Is really true man
Good movie to enjoy on Sunday evening
So this is where the idea for the heists in Payday came from
Exactly ! ❤️
who asked for a remake of Point Break? How could you possibly top the Swayze, Keanu presence?
To be honest, I watched this in order to understand why Tony Stark calls Thor "Point break".
this movie was amazing, I thought it would a lame attempt at a remake but, it was actually way better
no, it was a lame attempt.
who names their kid Boaty?
+Thrillfiger It's "Bodhi"
I laughed a little too hard at that
+relatedzombie Who calls their kid Bodhi then....ha
It's Bodhi
+Thrillfiger My parents named me Bodi after this movie
"The only law that governs is the law of gravity."
And all the dead scientists rolled in their graves.
LOL , was that a line from the movie ?
Doesn't seem like the movie even paid any attention to the law of gravity.
But honestly I couldn't even watch it past the opening scene.
Could have been a better movie if they had both fallen off the cliff there.
Then roll the credits.
hmmm ... your comment James ... makes me wonder if you were trying to seem smart ?
Ignoring intent, James' reply is wholly accurate.
Oh wait then ... that just means I was trying to be smart ?
I just came back from the movie, I got to say this movie is FREAKING AMAZING. (Singapore released the movie on 3rd Dec) He did fire the gun in the air and shout AHHH.
The occupancy of the hall was decent, especially on the opening day morning.
the best film of the world.
Thats hell of a movie!!! Loved it i wish they make a sequel. I had it on my list for sooo long on netflix but i didnt know how good it is until i watched it. Beautiful true friendship and brotherhood.
Checkout my channel for movies i have this movie too
The only good remake of this film was called Fast & Furious
So true.
1:14 is just like the Toretto house barbecue scene.
another bad remake ... they need to stop ....
Anakin Flow But its a remake of an already bad movie, which is gonna make it great!!
Darren Engram Point Break is the fucking best
Darren Engram youre out of your damn mind. the original Point Break was a breat movie.
Why are you saying its a bad remake? The movie isn't even freaking out and you know practically nothing about it. Don't judge a movie before you've seen it.
Excellent point
Watching it right now on Demand.
If there will ever be a "bon jovi" life movie.. That Utah guy is best suited to be as bon jovi
