Thank you so much for your kind comment, I really love making the Ilford jacket and seeing all of the different styles that can be made with the same pattern.
Thank you very much Vicki, when I find a pattern I like I do tend to make more than one. It is also fun to create different hacks and be creative with the patterns too.
Love your chiose very practical and very beautiful ❤...a pair of good fitting jeans is just the best for everyday wear paired with a nice not to close fitted t-shirt.. yeah i love your handmade wardrobe it realy sparks joy😊❤
Thanks for sharing your makes! It would be actually very interesting to hear you telling a bit more of those older makes, for instance the Zadie jumpsuits. What kinds of modifications you made to the pattern etc.
Thank you so much for your comment. That is really useful to know. I have thought about doing episodes where I just focus on one pattern I have made and how I made it. It is good to know that other people would find it interesting and useful too 😊
Just made my first Lyra, I'm obsessed such a great pattern. Your hack of extending the button placket is such a good idea!❤ I think it would make a great shirt too...
Your clothes are beautiful because of lovely patterns made from gorgeous patterns fabrics. Besides the patterns, i am also very interested in your fabrics. Can you also share with us where are the fabrics you bought from? Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for your comment. The reason why I didn't share all of the fabric details is because many of these makes are a few years old and I can't remember or I assume they will be sold out. If there is a particular fabric you would like to know about then let me know and I will see if I can remember the details. I will try to share more of these details on future clips, thanks for the feedback.
Hi Amelia, I love your choices for essential items. It's funny, I've never taken to the Ilford Jacket. But now that I've seen yours, I realized that its exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted a sort of boxy jacket with a collar, but the only difference is that I want to put a zipper in it instead of a button placket. But that I can do easily enough. I think I would like to line it too. That isn't actually in the pattern though is it? If you ever choose to make another lined one like the one you made, would you be willing to do a tutorial or sew along?
Thank you so much for your comment. The Ilford jacket is a great pattern and it is a really fun one to make. A zip would be great instead of buttons. I am pretty sure the Friday Pattern Company have a tutorial for lining the jacket.
Beautiful makes Amelia, just found your channel. Have you made white jeans and if so what fabric do you use for the pocket bags as even skin colour you can see through the outer fabric. Happy sewing Deb 🪡🧵💕
Thank you so much for watching and your comment too. I have not made white jeans before. So I am not really sure about the pocket bags? I wonder what high street companies use for their pocket bags on white jeans? I hope you find a solution 😊
Thank you for your comment. It is interesting that you think the floral make the clothes look dated. I never really make clothes to be current. I just make what I love to wear. It is always good to know other opinions 😊
@@ameliaellensewsIt's not what I think, pastels and monochrome especially in jackets have been the fashion for 20 years. I do think the florals are very busy and compete with your very pretty features and colouring - and win! I trust that I don't offend you, but my late mother was an expert seamstress and made all my outfits till I was 24, so I know the hard work that goes into it. Why take all the trouble to look dated? But to each her own.
Great collection of Ilford Jackets !! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😊😊😊

The Lyra dress is so good. And the hacked placket is great. I habe seen a few shirt versions on Instagram and they look really good too.

What a great group of patterns! I've been tossing up whether to get the Zadie Jumpsuit for a while, but I think you've convinced me!
Thank you for your comment, the Zadie Jumpsuit is such a great pattern. It is so comfortable and easy to wear and not really too difficult to make.

New subscriber today. Lovely makes and video! Did you change sizes for the Ilford jacket, particularly the winter version?
Hello and Welcome Rhonda, thank you for subscribing and your comment. I did size up one size for the winter style Ilford jackets.
@@ameliaellensews thank you
Lovely - but all the florals make the clothes look dated. Just saying.
