  • In this video I group my 22-250 at 300 yards. I also use the Side-Shot Scope Cam setup with an IPhone 6s at 1080p 60fps. This is just a day of testing both my rifle and camera equipment. * I finally figured out where the fifth hit is on the second group. It is right on top on of the middle hit in the best three shots from the first group.

Great video . I have found that when my groups loosen up that it is the bipod factor that does it . When shooting from the bench using sandbags , my groups touch together. I can shoot through the same hole 3 out of 5 at 200 yds , but , when using the bipod , my 1moa turns into 1.5 . Sandbags seem to absorb the recoil , where the bipods sometimes cause reaction as the weight of the gun may be distributed more on one leg than the other , which causes uneven recoil , that sends the shock force off one leg more than the other , causing opposite reaction , throwing point of impact in opposite direction of shock force through one leg of bipod more than the other. You don't have that variable to contend with of of bags. You are doing the right thing practicing in field conditions , but , you can't expect the accuracy you get from the bench.
Savage makes the BEST out of box guns for the money . I have had my 110 for thirteen years , and it is THE MOST accurate rifle I have. I put a 10x40x50 Nstar scope on mine , and have been more than pleased with the accuracy of my Savage , either with factory ammo , or handloads , the gun can not be beat for the price .
    Savage is King !

I have the same savage 110 varmint rifle with the 26” heavy barrel in 22-250 as you do, and I also hand load. The best load I have gotten is using Hornady brass, 50gr v-max Hornady projectiles, 36gr of 4064 powder, and CCI primers. I was out shooting today and it is an easy half MOA load. Wanted to share because it may be something for you to try considering you have the identical gun. I enjoy your channel and hope you keep up the good work

I've found that this rifle shoots an easy MOA with everything I've tried. I'm going to stick with the Nosler 53gr because I have A LOT of them. Haha. I'm really happy with them with H4350, H380, and RE-16 powder. I have found this rifle to not be very picky. Thanks for watching.

Now on my 4th 22-250. Barrel Burner,,,,but the most fun you will ever have destroying your rifle! It has not mattered which one I've had, the first a Rem 788 I bought for $50.00 brand new! Does not matter what powder, brass, primer, or bullet you reload 'em with they shoot lights out. The best part is how destructive/violent they are! I live in a western state and Prairie Dog season is just around the corner, prepare to vaporize,,,,

Nice. I shoot a 22-250 here in Australia and it handles 80% of our game however it is much louder than 223 which is very popular but dose not have the reach.Cheers

I think that’s a pretty sweet rifle, dude. I’ve got the 3-16x42mm S-TAC on my 7mm Rem Mag deer rifle and it’s an awesome piece of equipment, it just works reliably every time. I think I’m gonna have to pick up one of those newer Savage 110 Storm rifles in .223, just a simple stainless bolt action coyote rig. But that .22-250 Varmint looks like a great rig, too, they’re about as good as it gets for a factory rifle that doesn’t cost more than my monthly rent. The Tikka T3’s and the AccuStock Savage rifles are #1 and #2 for the workin’ men out here.

My best field shot to date was a running coyote at 565 yds , using 20 power and a 4" lead , rolled him in his tracks .
Shot a rabbit at 350 yds , but , that is not reccomended because all that was left was the ears, skin and feet . WOW , the power of this round is amazing. Mini explosion upon impact !

Howdy from Sacramento! Nice video. My savage 12fcv will shoot sub moa at 300 yds all day long if i do my part. My ground squirrel load is 40gr Blitzkings over 38gr H380 and a CCI large rifle magnum primer. 4100fps.
I use the side shot too, but with an external battery pack for my phone so i can record for longer durations.
