      That would be the perfect setting for a totally new Star Trek series. Strand in a completely 3 galaxy and being totally cut off from Star Fleet. While this was a main basis for Voyager, they at least some knowledge as to what was in the Delta quadrant of our own galaxy.
      It would be so ironic if it was these stranded ships to find the source of the black matter anomaly.

    The jump to the 32nd century was probably the best thing the showrunners could have done for this show because it gives them a clean slate to work from instead of the trouble-ridden prequel place that they shoehorned themselves into.
    The -N Constitution class is the saucer, secondary hull, & 2 nacelles design taken to its zenith!

    • @BuckFutterd
      @BuckFutterd 2 года назад +3

      I also think it was good for the time jump, it made it where they did have a clean slate as you said. They didn't have to worry about conflicting with essentially canon from other shows and such, because in essence it was something new.

    • @thomas.parnell7365

    • @Janx14
      @Janx14 2 года назад +3

      @@thomas.parnell7365 I'd actually love a 'classic trek' style series in this era. I think TNG era is heavily mined out, and ToS era has been rocky (though SNW seems to be doing okay with it). We need a new era for new writers to explore, and given the massive time jump, and the century and a bit of isolation due to the burn, there's so many ways things could have changed to give trek a fresh feel.

    • @valor1omega

      I agree it would have stopped the division in the fandom.
      JJ was right in making his series in it's own universe, it gave him 100% freedom to do what he wanted and the backlash was almost zero and what there was died off quickly.
      If they did the same thing here the hardcore Fandom wouldn't have cared about the series or what they did with it.

    I have trouble believing that the ships and uniforms seen in DSC seasons 3 and 4 are really 900 years more advanced than TNG etc. To me, they would fit much better around the 27th century, putting The Burn around a hundred years past Picard.

      Yes, you are correct... But Recrystalization only works so many times. Each time the Dilithium is recrystallized it loses quality. Sort of like a VHS tape being copied and then copied over and over again, eventually making the Crystals useless after a while. Hence how the shortage can occur!

    Looks like a mobile space station. Kinda liked the Dedication Class Enterprise-F concept by Mark Kingsnorth&Chris Madden to be the sucessor to the Post 24th century Constitution class. Seriously Kirk's Enterprise can travel the Multiverse using the multiversal Nexus(similar to the mycelium network). IMO there's probably a lost ship named Enterprise that's outside of the Milky Way galaxy. As for breaching the Galactic Barrier, the ships can always follow a rogue star that's diving into the galaxy as stars do go in and out as it the galaxy had consumed dwarf galaxies.

  • @JaredLS10

    From Sol to a dwarf galaxy in three days, now that is insanely fast. Ive been hoping we actually get to see how quick the 32nd century ships are, even if its a throw away line like "the ships from ni'var left two minutes ago for Cardassia, they should be arriving in the next 30 seconds."

    • @CASA-dy4vs
      @CASA-dy4vs 2 месяца назад

      I’d imagine they’d somehow break the warp 10 barrier and travel so fast that space itself doesn’t exist to a starship going past warp 10 which means if you input coordinates into whatever super computer manages it, it’d stop moving in like 5 seconds after breaking warp 10 effectively making galaxy wide travel in less than 5 minutes end to end

    Everything you talked about in this video is congruent with an idea of mine. A soap opera based on bringing the Enterprise from the NX 01 to the NCC 1701-Z. Wherein from the ships from the NCC 1701-P and beyond would go from USS (United Star Ship) to UGS (United Galactic Ship). For a new type of propulsion came into place replacing matter antimatter warp drive with time antitime transslip drive. This enables travel to all galaxies to happen. Thus the United Federation of Planets to become the United Federation of Galaxies.
    The pretense of what was mentioned in this video was covered in a fan film called Star Trek Odyssey. Wherein during a war between the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way Galaxy the USS Odyssey got trapped in the Andromeda Galaxy and finally got back using slipscreen technology that was talked about on Star Trek Voyager.
    Really what you talked about is enough stuff and beyond could build a network with an unending array of shows on a 24/7/365 basis. I am talking about a choreographed programs following Star Trek Cannon coming from a variety of sources from preexisting shows both reruns and properly done fan films such as Star Trek Odyssey, Horizon, and Renegades to those presently on air if you would call it that pay for view and spinoffs plus new shows. There is plenty enough talent to put this together Bad Robot, Paramount, and Rifleman just to name three. There are more but that is all I could think of off the top of my head. This network could be put together with help of Bell Productions for they know their way about doing soap operas and have the talent to be able to quardenate this together. For, this to work this would have to keep away from animation of any kind and garage productions.
    THIS WOULD TOTALLY BRING TO LIFE EVERYTHING YOU TALKED ABOUT IN THIS VIDEO.

    So with all the new ships with glaring holes in them. I assume they are areas to reduce mass but can use programmable matter to create the decks they need as they need them? Im mainly referring to the Enterprise K. Or that loop in the back of the Voyager J. Personal transporters seemed cool and A nod to Nemesis tech that saved Jean Luc Picard.

    You are a brilliant story writer. I look forward to seeing that a new video is uploaded. The storytelling is compelling.
    As far as this ship... i really love all of the renderings. Discovery has yet to give us enough beauty shots of these fantastic designs.
    Keep up the good works my friend!

      @@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Wow. So, using this starting point I guess: spaceengine.org/manual/making-addons/creating-a-ship/. I'm not familiar with Space Engine, but does it actually let you create things much like a general 3D CAD package? If so, that's amazing. Or did you build the ship with some other package first and them import it into Space Engine?

    Stylistically Discovery is something totally different from any other Trek that came before it, for better or for worse, with each passing season that’s even more true. The 32nd Century Constitution classes are cool. The permanently floating saucer is different, I don’t know if it’s a good different or not, just unusual in a cool way. I’d almost go as far as to say, Discovery could be it’s own franchise separate from Star Trek, while at the same time takes elements and values from the past series to tell a new story. There are some interesting ideas within Disco and other Kurtzman trek shows. (At this point of the Kurtzman Trek I’m partial to Lower Decks, with Picard and Prodigy after that. Hopefully Strange New Worlds is good.) I’m not going to whine, bitch, and complain about it, it won’t do much good and there’s already too much negativity. I’m a Trekker through and through that prefers some Trek over others, Great video Triangulum. 🖖 IDIC

    The Constitution (32c) might not be the prettiest design but for me it holds up. Some people just dont get technology, but I love how each century gives something new.
    For example
    22nd century ENT - Looks more like our tech today but a century ahead
    23rd century SNW/TOS - More is less, everything is smoother, starships look more advanced
    23rd century TMP - Tech is taken to the next level with aerodynamic nacelle pylons with everything looking more like TNG
    24th century LE/TNG - The Galaxy class, the ships feel more naturally curved representing progression
    25th century PIC - Ship designs seem sharper and the loss of Utopia didn't help either but who cares cause its Star Trek
    26th century - Not explored that much in Alpha cannon we can only imagine, organically grown hulls similar to that of the 31st & 32nd century
    31st / 32nd century - Starfleet is trying something different which I like, detached nacelles because of programmable matter (take an up on that), thats it...for now...
    (Not a rant btw)

    Great vid! I never get the hate for Disco, I think it's fantastic and is the true spiritual successor to TOS and TNG. It's more than earned the Star Trek mantle. Thanks for including stuff from it on your channel. ^_^

    He deserves a Federation Ship named in his honour....
    Also,I love your programmes,the ship logs for that dwarf galaxy mission are great..
    I really enjoyed the XCV Enterprise mission to the Alpha centauri system...
    Brilliant, keep up the great work 👍

    I hope in Season 5 they will finally replace and retired the Crossfield Class Refit into a brand new 32nd Century USS Discovery because i am sick and tired watching all the Refit Discovery from Season 1 to Season 4. Watching the Old Bridge and Control Panels from the Bay-Gone era is just too much and out of place for the current setting and knowing it's the final season then they should give justice to the 32nx century ship's as well.

    I personally hate the 3000 ships, and loved DISCO. They feel like the worst indulges of Star Trek ship design. I get its the future (of the future), but I would imagine it would decrease hull space, not massively increase it. These hulks are massive.. and basic geometric shapes. Crewed by seemingly thousands. Where they recruiting since the burn?
    I just feel like the ships are not as impressive as earlier designs.

    I'm pretty excited for the new Starfleet Academy show and I'm hoping they do more to fill out the world they've introduced us to in the 32nd century. I'd love to learn more about the ships and tech and what, exactly, is a pathway drive.

    I have mixed feelings about Discovery from what I've seen, but certainly being respectful of differing opinions (especially since...I mean...this is a TV show afterall not life and death) is something all should get behind. That having been said, great videos and these far future designs are pretty cool!

    Basically a very large flying city, with all the advantages (and disadvantages) that brings. Hopefully by this time we'll all have learned to live together in a bit more harmony than at present! You would have thought that "by then" the dependency on dilithium would have also been solved, or at least an entirely synthetic analogue developed. After all they obviously have both the computational and materials science abilities to do well-nigh everything.
