    I realized something when doing this story stuff in Tyrhold when seeing memories with Tyr. Neltharion has a human visage, same in the legacies shorts. But humans didn't exist then, right? They where created much later by being runts of the vrykul.

    • @HOBOsnake
      @HOBOsnake 2 года назад

      I suppose, but the titans also look quite human, and maybe that could be the explanation as to why they take a "human" form? I don't know. Good point.

    • @SamSGLM
      @SamSGLM 2 года назад +1

      In the legacies stories tou could say he looks like a vrykul. Pretty big and because the art style you can't tell what the skin is like, for me at least in his armour he looks something in between. The in game I think it's because he might have used that visage to infiltrate human society and it was shown us to be him, in other in game cinematics.
      Just consistency inside in game models I believe

  • @NateLyell

    *WARNING* for those who care, my comment contains (several months old at this point, but nonetheless) spoilers referencing datamined information regarding a future patch of Dragonflight
    It's interesting that Ysera's model in the flashback is not the updated one (that we know exists) like Alexstraza and Nozdormu. I'm curious why they chose to use the old one. If I had guess, I'd say either a) they didn't have the model rendered at the time that this quest was finalized and shipped or b) they chose not to use the new model intentionally to avoid blatantly tipping their hand about Ysera's return; without knowledge of the datamined cutscene, the fact that Ysera's model in this quest is not updated would lead me to believe that she would not be returning to play a part in DF. Just an observation.
    Also as a side note, very cool to see Malygos in his visage form! Only time we've seen his model in-game aside from the Yogg encounter if I'm not mistaken?

    • @samuelhellewell2880
      @samuelhellewell2880 2 года назад +3

      I think another reason is that, the model we have of her now is different than what it would have been canonically back then. Kinda like why we don’t use Janina’s BFA model in Wrath zones. Ysera’s new model has very noticeable ardenweald changes which would not have happened the 10000+ years ago that this scene takes place. Of corse, it could be a combination of a few, only the devs know.

      @@mokarokas-1727 The difference is that, at least as the devs want it now, Alexstraza has, more or less, always looked like her current model lore wise as seen in the legacies cinematics. So for her, makes total sense that she would look the same. She didnt really go through the changes that Ysera went through or anything simular. Same reason why most of the core races in zones made before Wod dont look like they do in classic.

  • @GothaBillsAndDeath
    @GothaBillsAndDeath 2 года назад +1

    Theory: Definitely feels like Koranos might be a portion of Tyr. Sindragosa's simulacrum sort of foreshadows that entities adept in arcane magic can reproduce copies of themselves and "store" these individual versions of themselves in various objects. Sort of like how the mage spell Mirror Image works. It's like WoW expansions. Keeper Tyr is Vanilla Classic stored on the Legion client. Koranos is Dragonflight - it's a version of Tyr that closely monitors the Dragonflight's discoveries and might gently push them in the direction of restoring Classic Tyr. It would fit with Tyr's personality, keeping secrets away from even Nozdormu through magic enchantments.
    For what purpose, we've yet to see, but perhaps Koranos-Tyr is content in examining how the Dragonflight has progressed even with their divine aspect powers stripped away from them. He wants to monitor from afar in case the worse case scenario occurs: that without the Titan's order influence, dragons revert back to their primal forms and perhaps become corrupted by the Void. Basically, Koranos-Tyr has only recently awoken from his slumber and wants to catch-up on the WoW lore since his time. If we're to believe that all the other Keepers eventually fell to corruption, OG Tyr might've kept multiple copies of himself dormant for security reasons. Like restoring a backup of your software to a previous date if your PC was hit with malware. Modern Blizz plays it fast and loose with it's sci-fi emulating a lot of concepts we know such as 3D printing or data storage.

    • @mokarokas-1727
      @mokarokas-1727 2 года назад

      Koranos seemed pretty pro-active in the Dragonflight trailer, though.

    But the Titans will would be the will of the 'Universe' in the sense that they are an emanation/essence of the first light. How are renown quests better than baseline lore! They did this on purpose to please basic zugs. AMAZING vid, keep this vids coming, sadly most wont go through this lore.

    • @mokarokas-1727
      @mokarokas-1727 2 года назад

      I think "most" is an overstatement. Sure, maybe "most" people only go through the leveling experience or play in previous expansions and ignore most of the end-game, I don't know. But most people who actually play the current content of WoW would naturally unlock renown quests as time goes on, especially on a low renown level like 12.
      Regarding the titans, it's stated that elementals and all other early life is also seeded by the Light, and this would include the Incarnates since dragons and proto-dragons are descended from elementals. So for all the different forces seeded by the Light in the universe, I think it's wrong to say the titans alone should represent it.

    Small mistake. Ra-Den was appointed leader by the titans. He went to care for the southern half of the planet by himself and during his absence, the watchers voted Odyn to be the "prime designate". He was not chosen to rule by divine will but by democracy and took to it as he would take to crack.

    I can't bite on the fact the titans order is not good, or there is grey morality and such.
    Azeroth has a dormant soul in it, so all their actions are for the good of the soul which is their interest. Likewise if the soul is tended to by the Titans systems then the world gives back by being stable and working properly.
    For us titans are the good people, against their interest or following another primordial order(light, void, chaos,life and death) would be fighting against Azeroth and dooming the world regardless of pointless "freewill" discourse
