I genuinely believe that if you truly want to do it right, you'll have to rebuild RPG Sim from the ground up. This will make development much easier for you. Since you have many ideas, it would also be very refreshing for returning players and even new players to experience RPG Sim in a new way.
Its time for a fresh start man, dont push yourself on and old burden. One thing about a community that plays an old game is, that they will always follow anything the dev did. Do what is needed to be done.
For my personal opinion the best would be to make an rpg sim 2 I have been playing an rpg sim on console since 2020 the more the games progressed the more there were bugs which made the game unplayable on consoles, but you always corrected your games and listened to your community. So I think for me it would be best to start from 0, especially if you no longer have fun doing what you love.
The game might be old but it’s still the best I know that you want to work on other projects, and I want to see that because if you made RPG sim can make other good games❤
Uhh.. sorry to comment here, but world 2 in Rpg simulator now is not working. Players cannot move to world 2 using their mobile devices. Couldn't find somewhere else to pm you, sorry again to comment this here.
What i think u should do is Focus on your other projects and then once that done come back to rpg sim. Then u can decide what to do with it, remake it, make a version 2 or whatever. Imo i think you just need a bit of a break or something new because if Rpg sim is making you go crazy and is killing your motivation then focus on other games for now :). Beside Im sure the community will support whatever you do and just take your time. ._.)b
I personally think that u should make rpg sim 2 and start over again, but we'll rlly appreciate if u really create a memorable project after stop working on this. I think that taking risks isnt a rlly good idea since the limiteds are kinda the souvenirs that we have to conserve them
Tbh both ideas are have their pros and cons, the best would be making rpg sim 2 if all the data would carry through, but also you should make the games you are working on before updating rpg sim, that way when people are waiting for an rpg sim update they could probably play one of the other games you eventually release, that’s just my thought process tho
I'd def leave it in a good note then working on Crusaders. You can always make Runebound the 2.0 verion of RPG sim except it's a lot better version of it.
Rpg sim 2 , fresh start for everyone so new player don't feel unfair, we are the real grinders if we can do 1000 runs of FDR then we can also grind in new game with nothing it's like a zero to hero arc of our life
In my opinion maybe make RPG sim2 with new stuff and maybe bring across gamepasses from RPG sim or some kinda reward for buying them(not counting in ones used from the gift item)
First of all, get in a good spot first before you work on something by yourself. RPG sim is honestly in a good enough spot for what it is and moving on to RPG sim 2 would be the best option. You can take ideas from POE and what they are doing with POE2. Make some things transfer over that players already bought but probably not gifted stuff. Take the framework of the first game and use that make something you wanted RPG sim to be. Leave RPG sim where it is and just fix bugs that are neccessary to fix.
