I grew up in East London as an underdog with the seeds of doubt planted in me through the school and social environment. e.g teacher saying how can their be God when people are dying of droughts or being killed by dictators my like Hitler. e.g 2. friends from all different backgrounds saying their religion teaches them Good don't be bad and are just universal teachings. I didn't like Muslims from wha5 I saw in my going up. But Alhumdullilah Allah swt blessed me with Islam at the age of 21. This is the brother who have a talk in my college and my university back in the 90's. May Allah swt bless him. Ameen in the West we are constantly under attack and our children are the targets... We need family time we need to study together and aid all the dawah projects

All i can see the new Muslims are more active and serious about Islam than the ordinary Muslims, as Allah the Almighty says : وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا ... And if you turn away, which means, if you turn away from obeying Him and adhering to His Laws. ... يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ ﴿٣٨﴾ He will replace you with other people; then they will not be like you. meaning, rather, they will be people who will listen to Him and obey His commands........... My dad is illiterate and his parents never taught him about religion.. But he is a very good man to his wife and kids. I am really worried for his hereafter. I can see in his eyes each time how he scared of his hereafter and u can see the ache in his eyes. He is ignorant in the sense of religion and other things.. But he does his fasting and he paid Zakah and he believe in Allah but he just don't pray because he can't read etc.. And it's really is just difficult for him. Please pray for him.. I tried to be a good Muslim because one of the thing that can help for my dad hereafter is a good children and the prayers of a good children.. But is it enough??
I have a story to tell and not sure who I should tell it too. I took my Shahada last year when I was 43 and it has been a horrible experience. First, it was part of a romance scam and went through a terrible heart break. I later found a level 2 travel alert to Morocco for romance scams. I had no idea the corruption a country could have that has the call to prayer 5 times a day. I then discovered there was no community support and wasn't even told about wudu or ghusl before my shahada or the consequences of drinking alcohol which inevitably happened after my marriage was canceled. I have reached out to some other rather large masjids here in New England and have found the same lack of support which I don't want to detail here. I was ready to return to my Anglo roots until I seen the video on your father's shahada. This is the Islam I wanted for myself and my parents, but I have only found the same hypocrisy and outright fraud that I found in Christianity. My understanding was that Islam is a community of faith, not a monastic one, and that's what I'm experiencing here across the pond. 8 months and I still dont know a rakat and only taught a few words to pray with smh. I honestly feel like building a masjid and doing things right. So many people here in the US are literally dying to find God and there are so many obstacles which the Quran states is wrong for a Muslim to put in the way of people trying to find Islam.
