@cth968People shouldn’t have to work multiple jobs to sustain themselves. Believe it or not there was a time when one job was enough to provide for a family let alone an individual.

Life is weird these days,I don’t think very many people are truly happy at all.
Exactly. And also there really is no point in being “rich” if you have to work 3+ jobs and never have time for yourself. There’s literally nothing to enjoy and it’s a zero sum game
I worked two jobs at three different times in my life and hated it. Leaving one job and rushing to get to the next. I didn’t see a way out. I attempted suicide and surviving made me put my life into a new perspective. I don’t care how long it takes me to reach my goals. I’m being intentional now and getting there slowly but surely…and NOT working myself to death in the process. I’m taking the scenic route. May all of you be blessed!

yeah I'm kinda scared to grow up in this economy. My parents still haven't paid off the (by todays standards) REALLY CHEAP HOUSE 135k dollars in like 20 years (they are divorced now but yeah) and now that they are separated the other house my parent moved to, they rent from a friend (at a low price) that used to rent from our house. And like we still can barely keep up with rent when A: its from a friend and its cheaper rent B: we have somebody who pays 1/3 of the rent to live in one of the rooms (it's a medium-small house) and C: my mom is a programmer and I think she makes decent money at least compared to a lot of other jobs. And my other parent is just broke and can barely keep up. Like we don't really ever go on vacation or get special stuff unless its paid by somebody else or its a once a year holiday. AND I FEEL LIKE I AM ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES LIKE WHAT??? Shits crazy and really hope I can figure out a way to survive and have a stable life.

@@Oneshot-man Depends on a few factors, where you live is a big one. $30 an hour is 62000 a year, which is about 48k after taxes. Thats 4000 a month. You can live a normal life in an average city for about 3k a month. any lower and it starts getting tough. For this person, 4k would be enough to kickstart a career and retirement funds, probably not start a family though. In a major city, you're probably barely getting by.

Few individuals known as capitalists own all the businesses, which means they get to dictate how much their workers get paid, and how much products cost. They choose to pay you as little as possible while forcing you to buy for as much as possible. When they pay you less, that's more money in their pockets and less in yours. When they make products expensive, that's more money in their pockets and less in yours. They always get richer, and you always get poorer. That's how capitalism is designed, to enrich capitalists while robbing workers.

It’s crazy how it’s normal to have more than 1-2 jobs. The inflation is too much for anyone. Gen z and gen alpha will be wayyy poorer than our gen’s and millennial parents bed of inflation.
What bothers me is people just take it and accept it. Cheeks spread open wide. I worked combined 18 hour a day labor-intensive jobs that had grown men running for the hills for a summer and I swore I'd never work like that again.
The thing is we shouldn’t have to put up with it. This society and manmade systems were created by man not nature. Our suffering is on their greedy hands.
I got recommended a video called “I’d rather die than work a 9-5” and it’s a white dude sitting in a car right after being recommended this. 😂 the funniest thing is they’re both valid opinions.
Excellent advice. I was in a similar situation as you in 2019. I was in my late 20s and was working an entry level customer service job. I worked crazy hours to work and take evening classes for IT. It was awful, but the sacrifice paid off. After 3 years of grinding, I finally got a six-figure job in tech.
@@codis5722 It's always been like that. I know guys who lucked out and got a warehouse union job that pays 70,000K a year. When they lost that job, they didn't have transferrable skills. The best advice I was ever given was to always invest in yourself in terms of education.
I work 2 jobs and I love it. I make more than enough money! I live alone, have a paid off car and can support myself with expendable cash (but I'm very frugal and save most of my money). I don't know what this dude is talking about. But he is right about ppl who have kids. If I had a kid, I wouldn't have enough unless I was married or something.
The minimum wage was always meant to be a livable wage. The fact things have gotten to this point shouldn't be tolerated by our society. "It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
As nice as this sounds, it's merely a nice sounding soundbite. Prices and payouts are determined by inflation. Raise the minimum wage to $30, inflation will increase. Soon that won't be enough. Increase to $50, it won't be enough soon. Inflation is outpacing our wages, and increasing inflation to solve inflation hopefully is obviously a bad idea. We need to fix inflation, and once that is settled, we can go back to having money worth something. We could keep the minimum wage at a stable point and it won't have to dig a bigger hole.
@@EXTREMEKIWI115idk we are in close to $40 trillion in debt. Our money isn’t gonna be worth much for long, whether or not theres a change in minimum wage. It’s been the same since 2009 in 14 states, granted most jobs don’t pay minimum wage because no employee sticks around for that.
@@SeniorBillzy That's not the major issue. The problem is the deficit. We can pay some of that debt, but the deficit is what we cannot pay. If we cut back on spending significantly, this issue would be solved, granted we stop fighting the entire world's problems. In addition to the deficit and the fact that our money is worth little, making it worth less is not a good idea. $50 minimum wage doesn't mean anything if gas, rent and food increase beyond what the money is worth, which is what is already happening with rising minimum wages. Worse yet, more pay means more expectations. We already have people working for $15 doing the work of 5+ people. You get the worst of both worlds: the illusion of more pay, the increased demands of what more pay would bring, but less value in a higher dollar. That's like getting told you're making as much as an engineer, but you're actually earning slave wages. When $50 in the future is actually worth $12 now, you'll realize it was a scam. The problem scales to worse levels the more you feed inflation.
No one likes to slave away on a 9-5 bro. you gotta choose u want money or freedom. personally i put my freedom over anything. freedom gives me peace. slavery gives anxiety and constant stress that will kill you 20 years earlier.
Agreed! I was working 5 days a week 3pm to 11pm, don’t even have time for myself , too tired to do things on the weekends missing out on sunny days I was miserable! they can have it
It’s not as a good as you think. When people get rich they aren’t happy cause they don’t have a purpose. Me personally I really enjoy my 9-5. It’s the journey not the destination and once you reach the destination you need a new journey, one that isn’t just sick back and relax, we need something challenging to push forward and fight for. Sure the joy of being rich will last a few days. Humans acclimate easily. We see it all the time, wow this new phone is sick, then 2 days later it’s whatever cause ur used to to. I’m not saying getting rich is bad, but that shouldn’t be your end game.

yeah you can't judge the entire country off of your experience lol. I live in NYC and I can't compare my rate to the average for the same reason. our cities are almost always the top two spots for rent prices
No it's not. Depends on where you live. I used to live comfortably on just $12/hr because I used to live somewhere dirt cheap. Rent was cheap, groceries were cheap, everything was cheap. You doing the right thing bruh. I’m 26. I lived this life for 3 years. From 20-23. 2 restaurant jobs (serving making at least $20 an hour) and a job on the side as an independent contractor. At 23 I started a business, (a boxing gym) and worked a little bit less (still a lot) but only for 1 year at that point I was able to hire all the work out and I didn’t have to do too much except for marketing. Then I was able to sell the entire business (most people don’t think about selling their business, they treat a business like a job and stay stuck in the loop) and selling the business was able to put me in this position in today. I run 4 businesses that are kind of like side hustles, and I don’t have the high overhead I did like I had in past before I sold my business. My advice to you champ, take that money you work so hard for, and find ways to make that money WORK FOR YOU. If you do this TODAY, you can set yourself free in 6 months
You also need money to start a business such as a boxing business. A lot of people are scraping Pennie’s to get by living paycheck to paycheck. Here's what I recommend: Get some certifications and licensing. You'll have a higher chance of breaking the $25/hr barrier. I've seen jobs exceeding $40/hr at times where certifications and licenses are mainly required.
@@Vibrantly_Monochromatic Trade jobs: Welding Iron worker Construction Electrician Plumbing HVAC Auto Mechanic CDL These certifications do not take long to achieve. Medical of all specialties needs help. CNA or Phlebotomy are the shortest and they need help. Join the military if eligible. This isn’t everyone’s thing but it’s something instead of working 3 jobs. At least they’ll pay your rent, food, healthcare and more. This is what I did 5 years ago. There are ways to get out of that situation but I feel some people of today’s time, don’t want to make the sacrifices and adapt. If you have to live with strangers (rent out a room or basement) for a lower cost of living then do it. Yea we shouldn’t have to work so many jobs but what can we do about it instead of complaining? You have to make the changes for yourself not looking for someone else to do it for you. Start with a cert. to take care of yourself and go from there. im grinding my $20 job but in a comfy desk and ac cooled office by myself most the time. you're just reminding me i can't get complacent $400 - car $400 - utilities (phone+internet+lights+gas) $400 debt... around $600 for food and savings but yeah its only because im blessed to have a family helping me out and i dont have to pay rent or car insurance but i always think about when i end up alone in 10 years rent is $1000 minimum and that's in some sketchy parts. hopefully all my debt is all gone and i learn to drive by then, but shit the inflation is just going to be higher and higher in the future. i need to go back in college because of all the advanced stuff i do at my current job, maybe not being my own boss like ur doing, but yeah, always something wrong in the world to set us back.
I was looking for an apartment some months ago and it was crazy coming to the realization that I can't afford to live anywhere in the town I grew up in, and I grew up in the GHETTO. That town is STILL a warzone but you gotta be upper middle class to afford an apartment there.
I have two jobs. Working 64 hours a week ,living on my own, and with 15k worth of debt (originally owed 50k). I’m gonna move back to my parent’s place next week to save money and pay off the rest of my debts. I’m so tired of not having money all the time. My main goal is to day trade and I want to start now so bad but I have to keep working these two jobs I hate to get there. Watching your video made me realize I’m not the only one in this position. We’re all out here trying to make it work. I appreciate the motivation man. Thank you
Keep it pushin brodie, slow motion better then nun, and you got the blessin to always have a home to go to some can't even go to there parents cus of they reason, so keep it pushin bro, this life don't owe you nun but death
I'll be 30 next year and haven't had a permanent job good enough to live on my own. I already made a budget list and it's possible but I don't wanna be struggling when I move out so I gotta stay down a few more years. It's sucks but it is what it is
@@lucas839 I moved last year because I only had 10k work of debt. And I was able to pay it off within a year so it wasn’t restraining me. I gave my family 40k this year due to emergencies. And yes, the us does not care or cover most of our needs. It sucks

I’m still proud of you young brother for getting after it! I’m an older brother almost 50 and I’m nearing retirement I like to see young guys that have the gumption and tenacity I did at that age.
I liked you video a lot. Unlike others, you have a very positive vibe. Obviously the problem is with the system and capitalism but you did not lose hope. That's admirable and inspiring.
I’ve been working hard asf the last year and half … starting feeling this tingling sensation in my spine and neck , but never got it checked out cause if I stop working I wasn’t going to be able to pay my bills , unfortunately comes to find out I have 2 herniated disk and 1 bulging disk . I’m only 22 . I can barely sit and walk without pain . Now I’m behind on bills and things I want .We are breaking ourselves down for little to no compensation, it’s not worth it bro , “THE GRIND” mentality is going to hurt you in the long run. Health is wealth .
this world is just insanity. what is living if in order to afford the necessary things to stay alive, you sacrifice all your time and energy into something you don’t even like, just to stay afloat. and that’s just bills and food. if someone gets sick?? car breaks down? i feel like the majority of us are a single emergency away from bankruptcy. it’s a fucking scary world we live in bro. selfishness and greed run the minds that run us. stay safe, keep your head up, take care of your mind and body. from one hardworking mf to another, i see you bro. i hear you. i’m right there w you.
I feel you, I work a full-time and a part-time Monday thru Friday . Saturday and Sunday I detail cars ,which is my third job. An still can't keep up with ends meet. I am right with you on this one. Good luck to you brother 🙏..
This meant a lot to me and hit hard af rn. I just started law school, and a new job. I’m overwhelmed, but Imma take that 11th step, or 12th, or however many it takes to accomplish my goal. I appreciate it man. I hope you find that destination soon too
i like the video but what’s your budgeting situation where 3 jobs is a tough situation? $20/hr 40 hrs a week is about 2800 a month after tax in NY which is one of the highest tax states. 2800 is doable with money left over if you budget properly. you can live on a super tight budget for about 2000 a month and even cheaper if you have a roommate. obviously it’s not a fun way to live but i always think of it like this: you work for minimum wage you life a minimum wage life. social media always makes people believe everyone deserves to buy chic fil a and go on vacations all the time when in reality that’s not the case.
Yeah that’s facts. You need to budget better for sure, you got three good paying jobs bro😂 idk your situation of course but you made this RUclips video with your smartphone and a computer I would assume.
Exactly you don’t know the situation but the point of the video was to keep going. Yeah I’m burnt out but it’s part of the process to fund my business to officially leave the jobs.. fyi shot everything off the iPhone and just uploaded to YT no editing
Man I’m glad I came across this it gave me more motivation you not alone bro I’m working 3 myself and I’m also putting 25% if each check in my sons account so when he’s 18 he has a good start in life financially, he’s 2 and I’m not stopping!!!!
This video really resonates with me. Barely 21, I made a fast financial decision which costed me my whole checking balance, and I'm stressing over some personal and financial challenges. I live in an area where the cost of living is high, and I have in mind my destination. "You have the power to change your circumstances and grow", and don't be discouraged when you fail multiple times. Every failure brings you closer to success.
People are saying x is enough but not everyone wants to scrape by or live paycheck to paycheck. Also some ppl are saving for certain things like starting a business or buying a house
It’s okay to work 3 jobs when you’re young, what you want to do is to find one skill you can acquire that will pay you great money. Trade like: HVAC, Mechanic, Electrical, a degree in STEM and stuff like that. In my younger years, I did 2 jobs but now I have only one & I make good 6 figure income. Good luck to you.
Man you’re straight up a hero for sharing this and revealing how life looks like for a lot of people out there. It’s a shame that one job is not enough. I highly respect you for pushing limits for your destination brother!
Yeah the math ain’t mathing here, of course we don’t know all his financial responsibilities, but $22.50 at one job & $18.50 at the other job, just those two jobs alone without counting his third job, is like $6,560 a month a depending on the hours you work. But I most definitely applaud his work ethic and him hustling the honest way💯
@@UTP504 Homie what lmao you aint pullin OT if you working 2 jobs. You dont get OT pay for working 20 hours EXTRA at a second job you get regular time for both. The minimum wage was always meant to be a livable wage. The fact things have gotten to this point shouldn't be tolerated by our society. "It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
I wish we could get some real politicians again. Everything i’ve been around to see is a joke
@@SeniorBillzy need someone like fdr. someone we could vote in 4 different times

Im tryna get like you my goal is to be an entrepreneur
Amazing!!!!!
any advice on what businesses to open? a lot of us don't know where to start
You also need money to start a business such as a boxing business. A lot of people are scraping Pennie’s to get by living paycheck to paycheck. Yeah that’s facts. You need to budget better for sure, you got three good paying jobs bro😂 idk your situation of course but you made this RUclips video with your smartphone and a computer I would assume.
Exactly you don’t know the situation but the point of the video was to keep going. Yeah I’m burnt out but it’s part of the process to fund my business to officially leave the jobs.. fyi shot everything off the iPhone and just uploaded to YT no editing
@@Mani3pCLE yeah as long as you keep moving forward bro you will be good, wish you luck on the journey, life is tough sometimes but that’s ok
Thats the issue.
The price of everything is increasing BUT wages. What was a "minimum wage life" a decade or two ago was livable compared to now.
Man I’m glad I came across this it gave me more motivation you not alone bro I’m working 3 myself and I’m also putting 25% if each check in my sons account so when he’s 18 he has a good start in life financially, he’s 2 and I’m not stopping!!!!
Respect
This video really resonates with me. Barely 21, I made a fast financial decision which costed me my whole checking balance, and I'm stressing over some personal and financial challenges. I live in an area where the cost of living is high, and I have in mind my destination. "You have the power to change your circumstances and grow", and don't be discouraged when you fail multiple times. Every failure brings you closer to success.
Try working at a busy airport I recommend southwest ramp agent . You can get a lot of OT , working 60hrs with 20 ot is easier than 2 40hr jobs
Good luck to you.
what do u work as?
@@sleezyy743 I work in Finance as an analyst.
yes pls @TheLegend-uq1gz, tell us what you work
Man you’re straight up a hero for sharing this and revealing how life looks like for a lot of people out there. It’s a shame that one job is not enough. I highly respect you for pushing limits for your destination brother!
Live below your means, the amount of money you’re making is more than enough if you’re living below your means
Lets say homie is working 40 hours at job a 22.50 and 20 hours at job b for 18.50. That turns into Job a = $900 + Job b = $370 = Both = $1270 x 4 = $3810 a month.
I just wanna know your math homie cuz it aint mathin for me lol
@@MrFrankEast LMAO🤣, WTF are you even talking about, who said ANYTHING about OT?? I thought he was working two full time jobs at a minimum of 40 hours a week??
@@UTP504 I mean it depends on his schedule
is he working both those jobs 40 hours a week (80 hours a week), likely not I think
but if he is then yea I'm also confused.
Like @IntrusiveVirgo212 says, a lot of people I know in real life like to live way beyond their means and then wonder why there is no money to spare even when they're making good money.
Fr this dude full of shit
