For warm, almost hot water, I use a black 5 gallon bucket with a matching black lid. Set it in the sun with water in it. Doesn't take long to warm it up on sunny days. Requires no fuel usage and the bucket can be used for other purposes.

Personally I usually hate the tracking and suggestions I feel my private life is no longer private and that feels just wrong to me. However, Brooke's created videos are what I wanted! Basic questions and questions I didn't yet have are giving me confidence as the fears are lifted!! Her bathroom video was a huge help for that was a huge hindrance. She gets right to the point. Her shared experience is just what I needed. Very informative. I hope to one day run into her she seems like a fun individual to get to know. As to your situation of having no affordable option other than living in your car I will say I can empathize with you I once had to do this myself and I am concerned I may be heading that way again too. I try like all not to be left without any choices but the reality is life is giving and what it gives we have to deal with period. My life partner has died unexpectedly at which the proper measures in protection were not yet made so it is just what it is. Each of us are born with a will to survive knowing one day we all will die. The best we can do is communicate and share our own living experience amongst all who care to grow and help. For no one does anything entirely on their own! Simply because of the fact nature does not work that way! We are dependent upon the opposite! In the center is where each opposite gains energy. There needs to be a wrong to have a right and vice-a- versa! We all have opinions at which need to be set aside when giving any aide you simply have to learn to gain a mutual understanding in holding that leads the way to where the given is gained. We as humans create the impossible by our own selfish close minded opinions which places the "I'm" to block the way to gain the way where it's true all things are "possible" . We each have our own standing given in perspective. It's just unique sometimes it's only a little different other times it's the complete opposite; nonetheless that is only a matter of our own opinion and it holds no matter to the value in the facts that are given. We should accept the fact that we are just different and learn to communicate better amongst each other. Whether liking or not isn't a choice really it's just acceptance of what we can't change! Facts are given and we only have the choice of how we react to them. Life is rAw, right Accompanies wrong. In that capital A is in the middle shows each side leans on the other and the strength giving each ability to stand tall is the horizontal line in the middle I call this the bridge that closes the gap where we all should remain focused on. And then together we all can reach the peak point. Life is a process of living and dying we can all work together in peace and harmony when we accept the facts that are given. The free tool given is communication the information gained will be used vastly different from one to another it's all good to me.Time gives what time is which is that of our very ability to change our own ways. We change by the information we receive. It's taking into consideration the proper order of perspective. Life is learning and one must learn to gain the understanding of where and why's first before they can truly be a part of a solution. Otherwise you place yourself to be a part of the problem. In time and time will tell it just always does and will. Life is complex not complicated just listen and learn first it's that simple it's the basics really! I learned all this from kindergarten and the teeter totter.... I can balance myself but that ends up lonely with serving no worth of purpose! Being up all the time is the same as being down all the time ..there is no gain in value or worth! It's in the center if chosen that we have equal gain. There we all can achieve the best of the best. For it takes all combined of the good the bad and the ugly and pretty to get to the beauty of the meaningful beautiful design of one life that we all hold a given role. We all are living now but too all will die it's just the natural design of nature. I nor you created it, I like you are a part of it. Accept it and deal! I choose to foster heaven without bringing the hell.... Together we can live in peace and enjoy, realize it takes effort no matter what you choose just sayin! None the wiser just changing as I learn for the betterment of us all. Peace hey thanks for taking your time to read what I have come to believe so far. I hope it helps even if it's just a little! I personally do not like all but I am learning that I can and do care for and love all others in the same way. It's really easy to do. Just natural giving to the acceptance of the given order in perspective! Simply B rAw.... By nature's design
@@BrookeandPippa Just FYI, the Asian ones I bought didn't have the safety feature built into the can that allows it to vent instead of explode. It wasn't worth the risk for me so I took them back..
You're handling it girl, you've got this!!!Keep on keeping on, you will be in my prayers!! I am 71, just lost my husband and facing losing my home. Just started following you, getting alot of great advice to prepare for life on the road with my dog.
I am a vendor. Last year I started doing festivals and tented at the multi day ones. This year I’m going to be using my van instead. I’m finding your info quite helpful! Thank you so much.
@Amy Lewis There is absolutely no reason to talk about this person's body type. It is a non-issue that has nothing to do with this. How would you like it if people commented on how you looked for no reason? I feel like you know this is inappropriate, but you're just a troll who thinks making comments like this is funny because you know people will reply. If you wouldn't ask this question to someone's face, you shouldn't do it here either. It's really not a hard concept.
@Amy Lewis Because no one should ever talk about someone else's size whether you think they are big or small. It is irrelevant unless the person is literally talking about it to you. You are being completely condescending, and you know that. You're just being an ass because it's easy to bully on the internet, and then pretending to play dumb when people call you out on your behavior. It's pretty unnecessary, but here we are. Only sad people act the way you do. I have nothing more to say to you.
I live full time out of a Toyota Prius and I just hit my one year mark. Great Video! I love seeing other people's equipment and setups. As you know, we're always trying to tweak and improve our own setups, lol. I have that same steering wheel tray and you kind of blew my mind with how you use it. Brilliant! Thank you for sharing your setup!
I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but the Gas One stove actually has an optional hose that attaches to the 1 pound Propane tanks. I've got that stove and the hose, and it works terrifically well. Good info for folks looking to do this.
Sweet thought but RUclips keeps 70% of these. It’s better to look into her info and find better ways to donate so that she gets to keep 100% of your gift.
I have that car tray and I love it. During the pandemic, I would drive through, and then park somewhere pretty and eat my dinner ln the car with my tray.
It was tough travelling in 2020 when restaurants were drive-thru only. It made me mad that I couldn't wash my hands before eating, you know, during a pandemic. The only place I would pee is Wal-Mart or outside, strategically parked so the car and door would hide my "hide". Once I pulled off to pee and saw a black bear in the woods! I still prefer pee'ing outside to using a public restroom...
one thing most dont realize with using the butane stove is if you have access to an amazon locker near you for delivery you can buy a 12 or 24 count of butane bottles for those type of stoves for relatively cheap
I've lived a '99 Econoline conversion van for over 2 years. I covered the windows with Reflectix and unroll the remainder across the windshield and the front windows (from inside). I can see a bit of breakdown on the roll but the rest is holding up fine. I discovered a nifty shower option-- Amazon has a USB rechargeable pump with a hose/sprayer for around $40. I keep a collapsible bucket on board, fill it at the tap where I park at a friend's house, and can wash up outside on hot summer nights. I also have a pop up shower tent that folds down to about the size of a hula hoop if need be. I like your window screens-- I've not been able to find the sleeve type to fit my larger windows/doors. I use a Kodiak Inergy power station and it powers my 12v fridge, clock radio/cd player, USB rechargeable dual fan, a 40w lamp, my laptop, etc etc. As long as I'm plugged in to shore power or driving. No solar panel yet but I just ordered a solar chargeable power bank that's supposed to be 50000 maH. I have tried over the years of preparing to live more simply to get USB items as much as possible. I even have "fireplace" lighters that have an arc vs a flame and are rechargeable. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. I've only seen this 1 video, but I saw that another mentions bathroom accommodations. I have a 5 gal bucket with a seat/lid combo, and double line it with .9ml trash bags. Not for everyone...but perfect for me. Just tie it off well and deposit at campground or RV receptacles. 🤷❤️
One thing I would do is have a luggage rack installed on the roof of my vehicle. I would attach the biggest solar panel I could to the luggage rack. I could figure out a way to fold it flat for driving or tilt it up to catch the sun while parked This would do three good things for me. First it would recharge my battery pack. Second, it would shade the roof of my vehicle so I don't gain as much heat from the sun. Third it could dirrect drive things like fans or coolers during the day. Hats off to you for what you are doing. Thanks for the video.
For your little fairy lights, #TheDawnOfVanlife has a video on how to convert them to USB power. You can do it with dollar tree phone cords. She soldered hers but I used dollar tree electrical tape instead of solder for mine.
If you’re in/near a city with an Asian food market they often have butane for hot pot stoves. 🍲. Plus you get to buy yummy Asian food and better ramen!
Not sure if you have any indoor cooking options. But a sandwich maker is my go to for camping in the RV. You can make way more then just hot sandwiches. You can even use it like a mini oven. You can do omelets, frozen mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, cake, pizza pockets, burritos, and obviously hot sandwiches. I’m not sure what they cost brand new, but they are always at goodwill for under $10.
Hi Brooke, excellent video. I use a Coleman butane stove for camping and get my butane cartridges at Sam's. I just paid less than $9 for a 4-pack of "Sterno" brand. (Score!!) Also, thanks for the plug of JoAnn's. I'm a store manager in NH. :) Be safe, stay well.
I understand about the butane availability and I want to make sure you know that there are portable camp stoves just like the one you have except they are "dual fuel". this means they can use butane or propane. keep it in mind for your next stove if nothing else. Amazon has a great selection of them. Happy car-life!❤
This is so great! I have been getting a list together of the best products for weekend car camping so I can prepare for the longer commitment of living in an SUV for a cross-country journey. Your videos are invaluable, I know practice makes perfect but it is priceless to practice without wasting money on products that are useless in real-world testing, especially when on a tight budget. So, Thank you for sharing your journey and what works for you and why! 😃
I,haveseen several of your videos. I am 73 and have been a nomad for25 yrs..i have a large house which i lived in part time for the first 5 yrs..then i went full time in my rv...i love your videos..gives me lots of ideas! rt time C
I use black foam board from dollar general for my windows they are around a buck each. Easy to cut, shape, stick with magnets or binder clips, groovy thermal insulation, mine slide along the camper edge like sliding windows.
When I did open water sailing, instead of purchasing red bulbs for better night vision, we would "paint" the light bulbs with red fingernail polish. Lately I have taken to "painting" my harsh LED bulbs/bulb covers with inexpensive beige or tan nail polish - works like a charm!
@Keslyn Nguyen Generally speaking, the issue of flammability is direct high heat -- like an open flame. In all the decades we have done it, we have not encountered any such issue.
LED lights don’t produce the heat like Incandescent bulbs, and I paint mine with banana yellow nail polish to deter the flying insects from being attracted to them.
I'm 58 and I am about a month away from my Bucket List trip...can't wait any longer for that. I have always wanted to just start driving back roads to see what's behind the next curve! Hopefully my health will allow me to do this and my ES-K9 will enjoy it also! I have been told that my plans are ridiculous...ouch. But I am a little nervous about safety and campgrounds are too expensive. I traded my car for a Ford Edge and trying to figure out what I will need. I love your videos...especially the pee cup!! Please be safe and you have a new subscriber!
Go for it!! If your dreams don't scare you, you're not dreaming big enough!! Take a look at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) they have camp sites all over the country and you pay $180 for a six months pass to go park and camp from Sept 15th thru April 15th. Lots of options
@Samantha Marie Freeman On my way in the morning! I've been told that I can't do it and looks of disbelief like I'm an idiot for camping during this time of the year....oh well! There's definitely been a lack of support so I deeply appreciate yours! And I will admit to being a bit scared! 😅
I Love Pippa! Please could you do an episode on Pippa? She seems to be the perfect companion! What is her breed? What do you feed her? How often do you stop to let her out? What is her favorite treat, toys, place to sleep when you sleep? Is she a watch dog that alerts you if someone is outside? What do you do with her if you pay for gas? Grocery shop? Eat out? How do you you bathe her? If you can't tell, I'm a dog mom. Thanks Brooke, love your channel!❤
@@BrookeandPippa do you mean the zipline mentioned in you favorite products? I saw her in the Boondocking video where she runs. Which watching her kick up a little cloud of dust behind her when she takes off! Stinkin ADORABLE!!❤
For reading I have usb rechargeable book lights that clip onto a book or can sit on a table. They have several different modes including three strengths of sepia which I use. I didn't want a lamp by my recliner so these are perfect.
Great video! Thank you! I ordered that steering wheel table just now after watching this. I did not know these were a thing! My fav addition is the tail veil. I’m totally looking forward to using it next trip. The dog restraint is genius. I need to see if I can hook mine to a cable leash. I also just got a cheap rug from Dollar General to put inside the tail veil area. That will keep the floor safe. You are right about the butane being hard to find some time so I stock up when I see they have some. Propane scares me. I do have a little Esbit stove and fuel tablets to make hot water for coffee which is use a lot. Yea. I got everything except the guts to take it on the road. Sticking to campgrounds for now. Again, nice video. I love that you’re not promoting super expensive stuff that’s not affordable.
Hi Brooke I just found you I'll be retiring in August heading out in my Jeep renegade 4x4. When I see car camping I click and I'm so glad yours popped up I'll be studying your videos with a pen and paper and hand thank you for your knowledge!
YT algorithm just gifted me this video! Retiring in Nov. and you are pure inspiration! And Pippa too, of course. Gonna go on an Odyssey in my 2005 Odyssey. Wahoo!
I "Jamp" in a 2 door Wrangler. I found a pool float shaped like a piece of pizza fit perfectly when I push the front seat up all the way (I'm 5'3"). It lasted a long time.
I will say I made some for my mini van with the reflectix. 2 things I learned - If you are anywhere in the heat - do not use spray paint to matte the silver with black. Do not use duct tape to hold them together at some point it gets so hot it starts leaving a noxious chemical smell in the car. I may have to redo mine.
I sewed a stretchy, lightweight black fabric on my home made reflectix window covers. I was surprised how well it sewed through the reflectix. No adhesives or paint needed. I also sewed together the front and back covers that needed more than one piece of reflectix. Next time I think I would look into purchasing. The set Brooke has is so much more compact and easy to store and attach with the magnets.
Hi Ms. Brooke and Ms. Pippa! Good to see you both! I love battery powered lights and fans when camping. I don't need a power source for them. They're usually cheaper than other options too. Good point about warmer lights. They are easier on the eyes. My biggest concern and the funnest part, of camping for me is coffee. I loved my "camp coffee". They call it "pour over" now and charge ridiculous prices. Lol Take a pair of pantyhose, cut the foot out. Place that over your cup. Meanwhile, heat your water. Once it's to the boil point, put your grounds in. Let it steep. Pour into your homemade filter. Yummy! I also just used regular coffee filters. Same result, just disposable and makes more trash. Bonus: used coffee grounds make great fertilizer. You can dump your grounds on a plant, rinse the filter (giving it water).
perhaps use a cotton tea strainer.. like a sock but natural material. pouring hot water over nylon probably isn't good for you. you might find i an asian market as large ones are used for making tea and coffee. washable and reusable.
This just popped up on my RUclips and so glad it did. Love this and Pippa is so adorable. I had an awwww moment. Hope to watch more of your videos. Blessings.
Brooke/Pippa! Thanks so much for the helpful tips! Subscribed and look forward to binge watching your videos! I’m look for suggestions for my first upcoming solo camping with my toddler and 2 German Shepherds in our Forester! Wish us luck. Thanks again!!
Thanks! Please be safe. I've been there living in my van. Never thought about some of the things you have mentioned. They would have made it more homey. God bless the both of you.
FYI. Gas One is the brand name of the stove you have they also have one that uses both butane and propane. I’ve only used butane on mine so far, but it’s a great stove.
I had promised myself no more gadgets. I had everything I needed and in some cases, two of everything I needed. So Brooke you are responsible for me breaking my promise to myself The car tray is now a necessary. Regarding insect netting for windows I am probably over the top, however I cut a template for my two back windows it is a Skoda yeti Then cut corrugated plastic sheeting to size Glued in white midge netting (Mosquito netting the holes are too big. ) Then another layer of corrugated plastic sheeting Use tape to attach to the inside of the window I have those plastic lip things so able to leave the windows down a couple of inches at night and no rain comes in For me, it was worth the effort to use the PVC corrugated sheeting Because the midge screens are only are on for holidays and I have been able to reuse them for at least 10 years. Thank you so much for your helpful videos and a tummy rub for Pippa
All good ideas, yes. For your solar-powered LUCCI Lights ... I agree that the lights are usually too bright so I to the lighting section of Home Depot and bought small lamp shades. They work great and now they throw more light to the ceiling in addition to being much softer at eye level. To tame them even more a plastic plant planter works great for an Up Light, yep, just put the LUCCI LIGHT inside of it. Make sure the planter is higher than the light itself. Both options give off different lighting options and its easy to stack them inside each other as a space-saving convenience when not in use.
Luci lights also come in a "matte" light version, as well as "candle" lights, and both of those provide soft, ambient light. I don't like the harsh lighting of LEDS either. Thanks for sharing your list.
Have you considered a Roadpro oven? It can be used inside your car and cook while you are driving. It also uses disposable aluminum pans for easy clean up. 😉
I tried those. You really have to watch them or they can get really hot, can burn. I love my hot logic, heats up and keeps it warm when you're not quite ready to eat it.
I drive a big truck and use the roadpro lunchbox oven everyday. $35 dollars now in tk stops, but can catch sells $25-30. I even go cheaper than those little aluminum bread pans....i just use about 10 inches of heavy duty aluminum foil to line the bottom...or a bit more to seal, say a cornish hen and veggies. I've done country style ribs, small pot roast with veggies.....bbq chicken thighs/legs...2 hrs and presto....even just veggies and a touch of water....steams up everything...sweet potatoes...great for the knorr rice sides....1 entire pouch will fit and cook...just add a bit more water if needed. The small frozen lasagnas (I let them thaw first)even heat up nicely Just used your link and bought the tray and table. Happy safe travels to you and Pippa!
Try a 1 gallon water bottle paint it black and just set it on your roof after about 3 hours is Florida and Georgia sun it's hot enough for a shower sure it would work in any hot climate
great video and set up! I found some great solar powered string lights that are also USB chargable that have a nice warm glow vs the harsh cool white light of some LED's. They are made by mpowered Luci string lights and have 3 brightness settings! I tent camp so I put one in front of my tent door and behind ;that way I feel safer and can see any animal or person approaching if I'm in the tent. Just subscribed to your channel too :)
You are fabulous! Loved all your little tips. Definitely saw a few things that will be very handy. Appreciate seeing tried & true products, helpful in saving me time and money working things out.
Thank you so much for the great content! I happen to have cell service where I'm camping right now and am currently binging on your videos 😁 I have a Honda Civic coupe and travel with an adult Doberman, a 45 pound puppy, and a Maine Coon mix kitten. We became houseless due to a series of unfortunate events, and luckily I have done extended kayak, bike, and backpacking trips so already had lots of gear. If you use the same type of butane I do, REI and walmart are where I normally find it. Thanks again, you've already given me a lot of good tips and I'm only a few videos in :)
"It does keep her from being a projectile." That look she gave you when you said that! Cute dog! (Probably just my imagination but still made me laugh) Good to think about. I just have a small car and my dog is in the back with his car sling and a small mesh, so he won't fly forward but I like what you've done. You, your van and dog are so clean! Very nice set up and tips, thanks!
Hi Brooks and pipa I just saw your RUclips channel this morning really enjoyed it I really enjoy watching the two of you I did subscribe to your channel have a nice day be safe
Aww, my second born’s name is Brooke. And Pippa, omg that’s cute! Thank you for the video, I’m 55 and will probably be living in my van so I am grateful for the ideas you share.
Yes, that's me!! I am looking at a few power stations myself, because there's quite a few things I'm putting into my vehicle myself such as a portable refrigerator, clip on fans, which I'm going to be needing wen it's hot so those power source charger really come in handy, and also it's important to keep my phone charged especially at nighttime. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I'm in no way a camper, and really have no desire to do so. I guess I'm kind if a diva about how I live. However, I am totally hooked on watching your videos!! I just love your personality and learning about your experiences and adventures. I also enjoy the love, concern and relationship you have with Pippa. Who knew I would be interested in learning about the different options to relieve bodily functions!!! I now feel like I have some knowledge if I ever have to travel and/or live in my vehicles. Someone should have warned you that vacationing in SD is dangerous! Many people, including myself, visit once and it's all over for them. They head hone pack up and move to SD. I visited Memorisl Day weekend and moved here (Rapid City) on the 4th of July 1997. Well, welcome to the club of wonderful people who found the magic of SD and are a part of it each day.
Brooke I am so excited to find your channel. My Mom, sister and I used to car camp in the early 80's. We loved it! Do you have a video that shares how you are supported to travel like this and what your daily costs are? I'm trying to figure this out for myself.
I just discovered your channels and I am learning so much from you. I just purchased the shower through your link. It is on sale right now for $32.93 because it has been discontinued. I had a $30.00 REI gift card that was going to expire soon, so it was the perfect choice. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I look forward to following you and Pippa on your adventures.
your never worried about creeps coming up to your windows when they are down? day or night? that would be terrifying! Creeps are everywhere… your a brave women!
@@BrookeandPippa I’ve experienced it myself that’s why… people came up to my window to creep mind you my windows were tinted… they couldn’t see me looking at them super creepy.!!!! glad you feel safe!!?
Nice video. I really needed recommendation for window covers. I'll be leaving in a few weeks to travel up the coast and am going to retry car camping. Not sure I'm up for it but I'm going to try. Thanks so much.
Brooke this is a great list of items. I was intrigued with the solar piano and I like the battery packs for recharging your devices. I'm realizing that my USB and the car is not recharging my phone. Not a good situation in business when I'm on the road all day. Love the content as always
Mpowerd/Luci now makes solar powered string lights in “warm white”! They also have 4 modes. The strings are a little bit heavier, which means they don’t tangle like many string lights. I agree that the older harsh blue-white lights are for emergency only.
I bought an old handy bus first trip out it soon became apparent that we had a major problem have the windows open and we quickly filled up with Flys and mosquitoes close the windows and the heat became unbearable so when we stopped for our second fuel stop at UFA farm store I picked up a roll of window screen and a 2 tubes of silicone rubber bathtub caulk cut the screen 1 inch bigger all around then the window did both
Put a bead of caulking around the window and imbeded the screen in it did the front 2 side windows and the back 2 it gave good ventilation depending on how the wimd was blowing open a front one on the side the wind was coming from and the one on the opposite side at the back
So good on restraining Pippa. I was in a roll over accident 2 months ago and my precious dog Clyde was ejected and passed as a result of it. My windows weren’t even down, but were shattered in the accident. It was horrible and a seatbelt for the dog was never something I had thought would be a must, but it is. Also, perhaps a harness would be a little better than just clipping the restrain onto a collar. Safe travels to you both.
Hi just seen your video. Great info. We can finally get a similar power station here yay! I was so jealous of your jackeries lol the bubble background noise made me think my roof was leaking in the rain...ahhhhhh 😂
You can get butane canister at gas stations and grocery stores ECT by where they keeps cigarettes lighters ECT because they are used for refilling lighters
I bet thick non-adhesive (but clingy) shelf liner would work great to cover the windows. It's really easy to trace and cut. I'm talking about the 1/4" thick sheets, not flimsy see-through contact paper. It would offer 100% blackout and probably only require a little tape to hold in place.
@@BrookeandPippa It can go through a dryer cycle easily enough. Heat doesn't seem to affect the material too much. Diane or I will have to get back to you with the results!
For warm, almost hot water, I use a black 5 gallon bucket with a matching black lid. Set it in the sun with water in it. Doesn't take long to warm it up on sunny days. Requires no fuel usage and the bucket can be used for other purposes.
Love this idea! Thanks!
Will do this, thanks.

You can find butane gas canisters at any Asian store for a much cheaper price than at a big box store. Thanks for sharing.
Someone else suggested this as well and I’m so grateful for the info! Plus I can pick up some amazing food while I’m there! Win-win!
Thank you for the information!
This is true. I bought them at Walmart for $3.50 each then found a package of 3 at my local Asian store for $7.00.
@@BrookeandPippa Just FYI, the Asian ones I bought didn't have the safety feature built into the can that allows it to vent instead of explode. It wasn't worth the risk for me so I took them back..
yes!!! I get my butane at Asian grocery stores too - a lot less expensive than sporting goods stores

@Amy Lewis I reported you for bullying. You are a narcissist and I hope she blocks you from her channel.
I love how comfy Pippa looks during this video
I love how you promote DIY and affordable options! 💚💚
It gives you so much more space to spread out!
Check out the wind shields at REI. Backpackers use them to shield the single burners. It’s a fold up metal shield that folds around the burner.
I think the very most important thing to take on the road is your puppy dog. Happy traveling! 😄
I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but the Gas One stove actually has an optional hose that attaches to the 1 pound Propane tanks. I've got that stove and the hose, and it works terrifically well. Good info for folks looking to do this.
Thanks for this information. I'm going to check it out!!!
@lostagain could you please put a link to the specific stove you are referring too. TIA
Gas one has a couple different types. Mine uses either butane or propane. My daughter's uses only propane.

Sweet thought but RUclips keeps 70% of these. It’s better to look into her info and find better ways to donate so that she gets to keep 100% of your gift.
I love the setup in the back, which allows your dog to stretch out, and a little dresser to the side. Looks comfy.
Pippa’s zip line (idea) is pure genius!
Pocketing that gold nugget.
Thnx! And safe travels 😎👌
I have that car tray and I love it. During the pandemic, I would drive through, and then park somewhere pretty and eat my dinner ln the car with my tray.
Yes! It’s the best!
Genius! I just ordered me one.
where did you find the pop up tent ?
This is my first video of you and Pippa and now I’m going to binge watch all of the rest because I like your vibe. Safe travels.
Same lol
Yes, my first time also seeing her videos.
Add me to the list. Instant sub!
One thing I would do is have a luggage rack installed on the roof of my vehicle. I would attach the biggest solar panel I could to the luggage rack.
I could figure out a way to fold it flat for driving or tilt it up to catch the sun while parked
This would do three good things for me.
Good tip, thanks!
Thank very much for sharing this! Helpful.
If you’re in/near a city with an Asian food market they often have butane for hot pot stoves. 🍲. Plus you get to buy yummy Asian food and better ramen!
Yummmmmmm good idea!!
You are one of the best You Tubers for informative SUV camping/traveling! Thank you for all that you do!

Asian food stores are the best place to buy butane cannisters.

Thanks for the tips. I'll probably never do this but know I could in my Dodge Caravan. Still fun to watch you and Pippa living a great life!
Wow animals are so lovely, cute, sweet and such an adorable🤩😍. Do you have a pet?
Go for it. Same age- started last year. ❤️ people will attempt to talk you out of anything so keep your dreams close.
Go for it!! If your dreams don't scare you, you're not dreaming big enough!! Take a look at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) they have camp sites all over the country and you pay $180 for a six months pass to go park and camp from Sept 15th thru April 15th. Lots of options
@Reddy Car is loaded and I'm heading out in the morning! Thank you for the encouragement l! Be safe!
@Samantha Marie Freeman On my way in the morning! I've been told that I can't do it and looks of disbelief like I'm an idiot for camping during this time of the year....oh well! There's definitely been a lack of support so I deeply appreciate yours! And I will admit to being a bit scared! 😅

They make a Luci light that is a "candle" variety. It's a softer glow and also has a flicker setting
Eat out? For reading I have usb rechargeable book lights that clip onto a book or can sit on a table. They have several different modes including three strengths of sepia which I use. I didn't want a lamp by my recliner so these are perfect.
Great find!

Hi i use Clear Suction Cups with Thumb Tack Screw Rubber Window Suckers from eBay to hold the Reflextic covers in the windows. Works like a charm.
I bought WeatherTec window covers made for my vehicle...great so far. Thicker reflective for summer, black side to absorb heat in winter. Safe travel.

@@margaretheathcote9842 ty
I usually just make instant lol
@@BrookeandPippa
Lol so much easier!
perhaps use a cotton tea strainer.. like a sock but natural material. pouring hot water over nylon probably isn't good for you. you might find i an asian market as large ones are used for making tea and coffee. washable and reusable.
Have you tried the Phin filter I believebits from Thailand maybe. Stainless steel Annsvan uses it for her coffee everyday.
I love French press coffee so smooth....oggi brand has a tiny one snd you can buy them stainless still 8 to 12 ounces ....for traveling.

I get my butane bottles for the same stove at the Chinese Store they are always available and sell for much less than at an outdoor store.
I keep a George Foreman, many city parks have electrical outlets so I can cook without charcoal or propane. 😊
I had promised myself no more gadgets. I had everything I needed and in some cases, two of everything I needed.
So Brooke you are responsible for me breaking my promise to myself
The car tray is now a necessary.
Regarding insect netting for windows
I am probably over the top, however
I cut a template for my two back windows it is a Skoda yeti
Then cut corrugated plastic sheeting to size
Glued in white midge netting
(Mosquito netting the holes are too big. )
Then another layer of corrugated plastic sheeting
Use tape to attach to the inside of the window
I have those plastic lip things so able to leave the windows down a couple of inches at night and no rain comes in
For me, it was worth the effort to use the PVC corrugated sheeting Because the midge screens are only are on for holidays and I have been able to reuse them for at least 10 years.
Thank you so much for your helpful videos and a tummy rub for Pippa
This was great Brooke. Thank you. I loved each one.
OMG...luv your frankness about this subject...
Luci lights also come in a "matte" light version, as well as "candle" lights, and both of those provide soft, ambient light. I don't like the harsh lighting of LEDS either. Thanks for sharing your list.
Good to know!
Yes, I use the candle version at home for nice ambient light.
Have you considered a Roadpro oven? It can be used inside your car and cook while you are driving. It also uses disposable aluminum pans for easy clean up. 😉
I’ve seen those! They seem cool! Maybe I’ll order one and try one for a video! Thanks for the idea!

I think we have Pippa's twin sister Lucy. So cute.
Brooke this is a great list of items. I was intrigued with the solar piano and I like the battery packs for recharging your devices. I'm realizing that my USB and the car is not recharging my phone. Not a good situation in business when I'm on the road all day. Love the content as always
This is a great list of items. I have a Rav 4 pretty similar to your car. Thanks for sharing. Definitely helped me out 😊
Hello how are you doing?
Mpowerd/Luci now makes solar powered string lights in “warm white”! They also have 4 modes. The strings are a little bit heavier, which means they don’t tangle like many string lights.
I agree that the older harsh blue-white lights are for emergency only.
Just subscribed to your channel! I really liked this video and that you added links to everything! Thanks
Hello how are you doing?
This was so informative thx for taking the time to make this video.
Hello how are you doing?
Great video Brooke, Ty
It gave me a lot of ideas and a lot of good positive information.
I look forward to your next video.💯✌️🙏❤️🕯️🌻
Wow animals are so lovely, cute, sweet and such an adorable🤩😍. Do you have a pet?
Great video, very informative. Love to Pippa. 🐈⬛🇬🇧🐈⬛🧡
Pippa never wears a collar, only the harness.
I’m sorry for your loss
Thank you for highlighting all these items as I am currently in the market for several of them to make my camping excursions easier.
Hi just seen your video. Great info. We can finally get a similar power station here yay! I was so jealous of your jackeries lol the bubble background noise made me think my roof was leaking in the rain...ahhhhhh 😂
Wow animals are so lovely, cute, sweet and such an adorable🤩😍. Do you have a pet?
You can get butane canister at gas stations and grocery stores ECT by where they keeps cigarettes lighters ECT because they are used for refilling lighters
Everything looks amazing Brooke. The information you share is great. Pippa looks so comply. You both look wonderful.. Safe travels
Excellent idea. I think I'm going to try it.
It might work for a little, but I’m guessing it would melt to the window in direct sun
@@BrookeandPippa It can go through a dryer cycle easily enough. Heat doesn't seem to affect the material too much. Diane or I will have to get back to you with the results!
Yes! Let me know!
