Now Amazon, make entire series - Exactly Like That
Exactly like this or more even we want the heat
They should make the 40k this style and maybe the make the 30k the beginning of the dark age with castevenia animation.
Check out Astartes 1-5 if you haven't already
With Henry Cavil of course! 😇
A Warhammer 40k series with Henry Cavill is already confirmed, though
The speed really stands out. They're not just big lumbering tanks, they move with a fluidity and grace that is terrifying. It's amazing to watch
Nothing that big should move that fast

1:20 - Bolter round hits lead biker.
1:21 - Biker explodes.
We finally have lore-accurate bolter fire!
Well - technically since GW "acquired" Astartes (thus making events depicted there canon), you had such depiction of bolter rounds effect on human body ;) In my humble opinion Astartes effects were even more viceral ;)
I loved thay detail. The way the biker flies backwards first, then explodes mid-air, is perfect.
@@SzymonNatanRajca well the guy who animated Astartes also worked on this.
@@maddhattergaming6863 Technically created, no only animated ;) And yes - I know ;)
They need to make him work of the animations for the next Warhammer game because imo the combat animation in the last game looked a bit cartoonish. I kept imagining buzz lightyear when playing.
1:40 The axe flip is so awesome.
"Brother, you do not need to flex upon us with such ferocity."
"its necessary brother"
"My axe posses the Empire's swag, brother."
"The Emperor commands that we do not simply defeat the enemy, but that we flex upon them as we do."
“If we fail to style upon the foes of the Emperor, then our duty is incomplete.”
Duuuuuude and the axe swing straight to a power punch to the face and then the downward power punch on the other guy and not to mention the Ultramarine running through an armored vehicle!!!holee-molee this is gooooood😮
That episode is full of details like, how Titus has an unorthodox way of fighting compared to his Ultramarines brothers due to his service in the death watch and the experience he gained fighting alongside other space marines chapters.
He even abandoned the coffin he was entrusted with and charged at the ennemies while the others held a defensive line, in the death watch you learn that the best defensive measure is to attack 😂
I think thats black templar influence..see his right hand chain and reverse chainsword grip.. unconventional indeed for an ultramarine
Yeah, you could say that, but remember that the whole point of this episode was about Titus' lack of fear. That's why he was able to defeat Tzeentch sorceress.
@@Tehguuui Titus didnt serve under the black templars, he was arrested by them and an inquisitor for heresy. He ended up serving penance in the deathwatch. not sure how he would be influenced by the black templars if hes being tortured and then put in stasis consistently by an inquisitor.
When he runs at the tank through the buggy I was like "the codex definitely does not support that action. Looked fuckin sick though"
@@Mwinslow1467 I think he was trying to say that someone who was in the deathwatch, prob a black templar, used chains and a different grip that ultramarines dont generally use. Black templars can and definately are in the deathwatch, i wouldnt be suprised if a higher amount than normal chapters.
The melee combat scene goes insanely hard. 10/10 needs to be its own show.
You mean 40/10! >:)
They made accurate the statement "Something so big should not be able to move so quickly".
Wait the segment about orcs... Waaaaaaaagh
Transhuman Dread.
You can see the massive creative talent of Syama Pedersen behind this episode.
If Amazon and Caville can sign him for future projects, we will eat good.
I knew his hand was behind this only his clips are this good every thing about them is cinematic and extremely high quality nobody has been able to touch him for the past ten years or so, I implore Caville to hire Syama Pederson to be his cinematographer that's the only way I see Warhammer having a chance to be successful, seriously😐but what do you think???would you agree Syama Pederson has to be a part of the project??? really like to hear your take on it😐
I hope so as well. He has a powerful grasp on how to make the camerawork emphasize the scale of threat and danger different elements in the 40k universe have against one another.
A big team made this video. He was a part of it but it's crappy to act like he was the only talent.
Amen brother. We can only hope 🙏🏻
@@thegrimcritic5494 not just camerwork, its in everything

2:01 this slash-into-punch has to be my favorite part of this whole fight, I keep replaying it. It's such a cool way to drop two guys without wasting momentum.
Shows how brutal and efficient they are really well
The impact of that punch is practically felt through the screen. Like a car hit him.
2:04 I LOVE this little human moment here. The man shoots a Space Marine in the head with a bolt pistol point-blank to ZERO effect. He stops and looks at the Marine. The Marine stops and looks at him. His CHAOS BUDDY stops and looks at him.
The Marine goes for the headbutt.
Yeah I love the little momentary freeze from the Space Marine, like he’s thinking “You serious?” and then just headbutt crushes him in mild frustration.
i think its a regular stubber
It’s not a Bolt pistol
@@malickmeziani_FreePalestine sure looks like one. has the double sided insets, the two grooves at the front, the barrel sidevents, the little nub below it, etc. basically one for one a primaris bolt pistol
The almost laconic economy of motion that the Astartes display is perfect for the Ultramarines. Everything from shots to reloads to ax strikes takes nothing but the absolute minimum of required motion, absolute efficiency. It has an ethos of “Take a number and get in line, I’ll kill you in a minute” that feels so very correct for a son of Guilliman.
Well said brotha✊🏾
They are ultra-marines the picture of efficiency the only people I know can leave Ultra-Marines in the tracks of efficiency are the Death Korps
Its not just efficiency. They are all elder brothers, with long histories and veterancies. They are more than 4 marines, but 4 extensively battle hardened marines. Like watching a 20 year combat vet in the field vs a freshly graduated recruit.
These guys each have at least 300 years of hard warfare that they survived, more or less intact. Makes me think that alot of their actions in combat are less thought and more muscle memory on how to act exactly in each specific situation.
@@stormtempterf8058I agree in principle, but Titus is "only" 200 years old.
Truly the best episode of Secret Level.
We have come here to chew bubblegum and purge the heretics. And in the grim darkness of the far future, there is no bubblegum.

1:58 he only dodged the attack so the Bladeguard to his left could decapitate him. This scene was well thought out.
I didnt even catch that, thats hype! And put together really well!

@@hogusa3 that was at 1:52 of the video, but if you set the playback speed to 0.25x at 1:58, you’ll see the blade from the blade guard veteran decapitate the cultist that charged the veteran sergeant. Its very quick but its there.
Efficient killers
@ indeed, and this video proves why all space marines are called the “Angels of Death”.
How many time do you re-watch this scene?
Me: Yes
2:51 I love his little hops, like now that the jobs done he’s in no rush
demure
Titus is just showing off at that point.
The economy of filmography is brilliant here too.
Look at 02:30 - we have Metaurus and a brother in profile, weathering the storm, Titus charges through the midground, followed by the camera, we get a close angle as Metaurus looks over his shoulder at the sled Titus was pulling and the camera directs to it, and then focuses on Metaurus' eye lenses as he looks back after Titus: just those 3 seconds are all it takes for us to understand that Titus is responsible for that sled and by abandoning it to engage the IFV he's going against the grain. When you block your characters and camera well enough, you don’t need dialogue. Just fantastic work.
The thing that makes this awesome is that they portrayed the Space Marines as they should be to normal humans. Not just bigger, not just stronger, but FASTER. They are almost always portrayed as a bit slower because of the bulky armor and the size but they were made and designed to be just that, better in every way.
I love how when they're out of combat they move like how a person would move wearing all that armored bulk, but when it's go time they move with such precision and power they're more machine than man.
The world shall now know Syama Pedersen. The Machine God has answered my pray
Was this made by Syama?
He’s credited as Layout Artist, pointed out by other commenters
"How many times did i rewatch this?"
Me: 40k
I heard that Syana pedersen, the animator for the Astartes series, worked on this episode. Dude must feel so honored.
Don't know much about honored, but frfr getting paid
Feel like they should be the ones feeling honored
Look at the ending credits in the episode. I specifically checked for him and yes he is in it. I am so happy for him, really earned it.
Ah, now I understand why it’s good.
@@gaiusfulmen yes. Indeed.
I’m not a warhammer guy, infact I know very little about it, however you make more episodes like this and you’ll have a committed viewer, this was well done, entertaining, perfect music score with the action and the story was exciting to watch.
I'd reccomend watching the fanmade short series Astartes, it was taken of youtube so GW could put it on their own platform, but you can find a full upload of it's orginal version on youtube uploaded by TheChach.
the guy who made it went on to be hired by Games Workshop and was one of the leads behind this episode.
Warhammer is a rabbit hole of astronomical proportions 😂 but worth it. There are many videos on yt that explain it in "short" ... well as short as possible in a 40 year old franchise. Check for bricky's videos to explain the factions, its funny and informative
The Horus Heresy novels series is like 70 books long and is amazing. plenty of warhammer to enjoy.
If these are the Ultramarines, imagine the Black Templars.
The idea of seeing my crusadey bois in action like this is... perfect.

My favorite bit was that they weren’t talking. No annoying narration, no five minute long talks to form a plan that takes ten seconds. Just the steady beat of the Emperor’s work being done.
The way Titus gave the enemy time to use his gun only for it to have no effect will never not be badass enough.
Titus will never not be a gigachad
I believe that isn't Titus as evidenced by the red helmet
@@icicle_ai the helmet with the red stripe, the ultra insignia on the right shoulder matches titus's art from space Marine 2
@@RedDrake110 at 2:05 you can see the green lenses for the eyes on the helmet, as well as the fact that this space marine is holding an axe, and we can see titus running forward with a chainsword to destroy the tank later in the video. This isn't Titus, this is the Veteran Sergeant
@@icicle_ai in the earlier scene Metaurus is accepting the mission in the list of people on the team is Titus.

The game is this and more. Basically Gears of Wars spiritual successor.
Brother! Dispense the emperor justice!
This is the single coolest action scene I have ever seen in any movie or show. Period.
The deafening ear ringing into the beat drop as the hand to hand kicks off is absolute cinema.
1:53 Holy sh*t did Metaurus just crushed that heretics head ?? Cool
Theyve done such a fantastic job with this. I love how you can see their contempt for the enemy without showing their faces. Amazing work!
This episode was definitely heavily inspired by Astartes and I loved it. The pacing and events happening throughout were extremely similar, it almost felt like an Astartes remake. I hope they turn this into something bigger.

@@FinlandiaperkeleI assumed so, it looked like his style.
@@TheRealHuskIt wasn't just him, but he was involved and it shows. He's credited at the end of the episode.

Now Cavil really need to get hold on Sayama Pedersen for a live action show!
he did
That's the most lore accurate space marine combat. They don't even need the weapons to kill regular humans. it just makes it even easier.
This ep was f'n insane! I don't play Warhammer but know some of the lore...More of the episodes deserved this type of length and story!!! @AmazonPrime please do a SEASON 2
Just spamming that 5 key
Leandros wants Titus to die so badly he even handicapped him by forcing him to carry the psyker
And Titus continues business as usual by just tackling right THROUGH a vehicle and without even stopping taking out a tank.
the music design when they land and are marching 0:15 is absolute setting the right tone. and then the sound of the music lining up with the sound of foot steps. its giving "Lord inquisitor" vibes with the imperial fists marching to and then the dreadnoughts with every single bass thud.
Amazon this is absolutely how Wh40k needs to be portrayed for future reference. Blur studios done a fantastic job with this and it looks like the team took notes from sayama peterson work on astartes. and with him credited as a layout artist. the entire community thanks everyone single one of yous that worked on this project!
Best part is from 1:40 on, especially around 2:02 when he swipes with the axe on right hand and nearly simultaneously pounds someone into the ground with the left in one smooth motion 🦾 (edit, actually I think he takes down three guys - two with axe.. left swipe/smash to right swipe and then slight turn right to pound down 🙂) all within 1 second or so
We Need More 🔥
After seeing this episode, I'm more excited than ever for Cavills live action 40k series
I am entirely new to the Warhammer world. And, my first ever experience is space Marine. 2. A friend of mine convinced me to try it. And now, it turns out, I have a hell of a lot of catching up to do... And probably not enough time.
The entire series is for this episode isn't it? We need an entire amazon series just for this.
We're getting a live action show produced by Henry Cavill, who's a diehard 40k fan. Funded by Amazon too.
This series was basically a test to see what video games had serious enough pull to warrant a full animated series.
And I gotta say that Amazon might have a hard time deciding which animations to fund when so many of these episodes were pure fire.
This episode made me buy Space Marine 2 🔥🔥💪🏽
That's probably part of the reason they made it lol
@@travisscholes6588 Yea, cuz it's a follow up after the events of the second game.

Ive just been waiting 15-20 years for these kinds of comments and a show like this.
At first we had "Ultramarine" the movie which was.... watchable, i guess.
then stuff like "Death of Hope" and "Astartes" and cheaper ones like "Armageddon"
if you like the lore i highly recommend reading the horus heresy. Its like 70 books long but its great especially later when you get to primarch fights and the siege of terra.
The axe chop to punch combos are so satisfying
it hits all the right notes, i loved this!
This was truly cinema, and really shows just how powerful the astartes are, absolute units
2:57 John Wick reload mode🔥
This is the most metal thing I've ever seen in my 40 years and I've seen a lot.
Syana Pedersen made a post about having to remove the Astartes animation he made almost a year ago. If you look up the people who made this episode, Syana is one of the main animators of this episode.
This was the best episode of the lot. We need a full series.
This. 10 episodes of this, for season after season. Add in some Krieg in a few episodes , some cadians, etc, where the space marines show up to help.
The way the beat sounds at 2:08 is perfect and gives me chills
*How it feels to chew 5 gum*.
I love when the space marine punches dudes so hard they just vanish into the ether or get slammed into the ground so hard they leave an imprint. Same with Titus barreling through a tank and not even stopping for a second.
This episode has to be the best one out of the season 🔥💯
I've started watching these two days ago. They are all different and I have only seen one that didn't amaze me so far.
We need more of this. And more secret level
This episode is pure genius. The story, the art, the choreography. Thank you Prime.
An interesting touch that the psyker in the coffin is actually an Astropath (used for sending and receiving messages). Goes to show that they chose him out of necessity.
Please please please, amazon, make more of this. Exactly this. The sheer horror of a Marine's power, it was captured amazingly
Please make it exactly like that plz prime 🙏
2:43 just what you would expect to happen when a tank rams into a car 😂
We need more of Warhammer 40k
these space marines have great aim. every shot they make is a hit.
this does space marines justice ,they are no longer just human ,they are elevated to a level no regular person could even begin to achieve ,they can hold ground while getting shot at by an machine gun from a tank ,barely moving but when they want ,they are a whirlwind with the speed to poscess ,they can strike before a person can react and their strenght can crush any lesser underneath it like it was an insect ,a normal human that isn't trained or has specific equipment to fight against an astartes is screwed with no hope of winning
These animations voice acting and scores for beloved universes are jaw dropping. Can't wait to finish secret level and see more to come
FOR THE EMPEROR RAHHHHHH
For The Emperor!

If this battle in general is the reason Henrys project is back in production...praise Tim Miller
These studios need to make more of these series shorts and very positive ones gets the green light into a movie.
actual peak, i just wish this scene 1:39-2:02 have full sound effects with no music at all(or tune down) just pure carnage
Something like transformers. I just creamed thinking about it.

I think this is the best part of the entire short
Bless the emperor! we've got Astartes 2 brothers
There are 206 bones in the human body, 207 whenever I see a Space Marine animation as amazing as this one.
1:45 i like how after they all start the engagement unified and as a single unit, Titus goes ahead and breaks rank to purge some more heretics🫡
The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy.
