    Best urban crime drama ever made, this relentless propulsive film is an endlessly entrancing audio visual living color time machine window upon another not so long ago lost human world, the people, the clothing, their hair styles, the jewelry, their slang and their attitudes, the evolving architecture, the furniture, the cars, the streets, the contrasts and the vitality, i luv everything about this movie, definitely one of my five best favorites ive ever seen heard.

    The best part about older movies like this is the background scenario, as in the cars, the clothing people wore, ect.
    Films like this allow you to study history...and if 'clip' the right scenes, you can almost create a museum.

    This movie sort of introduced America to the unseemly side of NY in the early 70s, which other than some obscure movies , America hadnt seen since the Man With The Golden Arm, and that was heavily coded. Its interesting that American Cinema followed Gene Hackmans' career path in the 70s. From the gritiness of the French connection and Deux to the introspective less gritty Conversation to the glitz and fantasy of 1978s Superman. Miss you Gene, they don't make actors like you these days.

Ne otterrà poi un secondo per "Gli spietati" . Oggi ha 90 anni compiuti quest'anno . E' nato nel 1930, come Clint Eastwood , il grandissimo Clint Eastwood !!

    Am I the only one that thought the back to back shots of Popeye driving on Stillwell Avenue, 86th street, and New Utrecht avenue and cutting to the train back and forth was unintentionally funny? XD This is not indicting that whether this was a classic or not. It's a classic no question, but all old movies had that unintentional silliness. I don't know why, but I think it's because this was 1971, so like any other old movie, and movies before this, there was no technological advances yet

    • @kendallrivers1119

      TBH a good movie doesn't need perfect effects it's really the writing, story, acting, direction and even music score that makes a classic and great film while a technically perfect film often will fail in at least one of those key things because too much is focused on making effects look perfect.

    Ephesians 6:12
    New King James Version
    12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against (A)principalities, against powers, against (B)the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
    Revelation 18:20-24
    New King James Version
    20 “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”
    Finality of Babylon’s Fall
    21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. 22 The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. 23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”
    Exodus 20:13
    New King James Version
    13 “You shall not murder.
    Romans 6:10
    New King James Version
    For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
    2 Samuel 14:17
    New King James Version
    Your maidservant said, ‘The word of my lord the king will now be comforting; for as the angel of God, so is my lord the king in discerning good and evil. And may the LORD your God be with you.’ ”
    Romans 4:4
    New King James Version
    4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
    Psalm 57:6
    NKJV
    They have prepared a net for my steps;
    My soul is bowed down;
    They have dug a pit before me;
    Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah
    Psalm 56:5-7
    NKJV
    5 All day they twist my words;
    All their thoughts are against me for evil.
    6 They gather together,
    They hide, they mark my steps,
    When they lie in wait for my life.
    7 Shall they escape by iniquity?
    In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
    Revelation 16:6-7
    For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
    And You have given them blood to drink.
    For it is their just due.”
    7 And I heard another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
    Matthew 24:7
    New King James Version
    7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
    Isaiah 24
    New King James Version
    Impending Judgment on the Earth
    24 Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste,
    Distorts its surface
    And scatters abroad its inhabitants.
    2 And it shall be:
    As with the people, so with the priest;
    As with the servant, so with his master;
    As with the maid, so with her mistress;
    As with the buyer, so with the seller;
    As with the lender, so with the borrower;
    As with the creditor, so with the debtor.
    3 The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered,
    For the Lord has spoken this word.
    4 The earth mourns and fades away,
    The world languishes and fades away;
    The haughty people of the earth languish.
    5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants,
    Because they have transgressed the laws,
    Changed the ordinance,
    Broken the everlasting covenant.
    6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth,
    And those who dwell in it are desolate.
    Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
    And few men are left.
    7 The new wine fails, the vine languishes,
    All the merry-hearted sigh.
    8 The mirth of the tambourine ceases,
    The noise of the jubilant ends,
    The joy of the harp ceases.
