A handy bit of fabricating there Alan anything to make the job safer and easier on the back is a big help, my daughter and her two friends at school came up with a device to lift the aluminium lids on the newer agitation covers last year and they won a young national enterprise award at croke park with it back in May
bit of fabrication going on in the skies above us too causing these extreme weather events. lovely drone flight over the snow covered lands. hard work dairy farming, no matter what part of the world. my grandfather was a fairy farmer too, i went onto working on beef cattle stations across the top end of Australia. looks like you needed another hand when you were welding. much love and have a wonderful day from the insane asylum formerly known as Australia 🤗🙏💕😁
I made a pair of those slat lifters a good few years ago and still have one of them but typically one of them slipped out of my hand a couple of years ago and if you tried you couldn’t get it to slip straight in but it did and I had to make another one but this time I put a couple of rings on them half way down so it didn’t happen again, I made mine a few weeks after I put in the slats cause I couldn’t figure out how you could lift them without them.

That’s a good idea with the rings. I might modify mine to that.
The weather and farming are always at odds with each other.
That is for sure. But sure it creates a bigger challenge 😂
Cracking video as always
