I started crying when Bri started singing how great thou art. It was my grandma‘s favorite song and I can just hear her beautiful voice singing. I loved this video ❤
What a beautiful video, so many hymns came flooding back. My dad’s favorite hymn was Little Brown Church by the Dell. I cannot even tell you my favorite, so many bring back wonderful warm memories 🥰❤️ thank you🙏
Our church still has hymnals. We Love singing from them. We also have a Praise Team, an Adult Choir and a Children's choir. Our congregation spans from newborn to folks in their 80s and above. We are blessed with so many wonderfully gifted musicians. I'm like Kim, I can't choose just one. I love Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, The Old Rugged Cross and Blessed Assurance so I guess they might be at the top of my list. Many years ago a group of us attend a weekend conference in Philadelphia , I think they said there were several hundred in attendance. We sang How Great Thou Art without music, just voices, men and women, the harmony was so amazing. I had heard that song as a child so thought I knew it well. It wasn't until singing it in that setting that I truly understood the words and the meaning of them. I was crying through the whole song. It was something I'll never forget. It was about 40 years ago. I missed Gigi for this one, I know she loves to sing too.
I love I Fly Away, One Day at Time, In the Gargden. I loved hearing my Mom sing them in church. She has been gone since 2004 and I still get goosebumps when I hear those songs and can picture her singing them. Thank you for having that question.
My favorite is , “Old Rugged Cross”. One of my favorite memories of my PapPaw is him in the kitchen, by himself, cooking, cleaning and singing that hymn. I vividly recall him teaching me that song.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Dan and Lou! Bri made me cry hearing "How Great Thou Art", I do love that one so much😊❤ I was gonna pick "Because He Lives"❤ I love "It is Well" too, there are so many beautiful hymns...I'm happy to say my curch still uses the hymnals from time to time❤️🙏❤️
Most everyone will enjoy breakfast for dinner, it's always a awesome meal!! Love you two together! Women can definitely multitask, sorry Dan! Never did a crockpot breakfast, so interesting!! Favorite hymnal sounds fun!! Wish churches would go back to them! Love Karter and Kash❤ You all made me teary eyed sharing your hymnal songs! Especially Bri, beautiful people!! Oh my gosh Dan, getting on Kim singing, what a brother!! Thank you for sharing you guys!!!
Hi Dan & Lou, breakfast is a good anytime meal 🍳🥓😊. Hymnals are foundational so many to choose but these two came off top of my head Because He Lives, How Great Is Thy Faithfulness. ♥️
I loved this episode!! My favorite hymn is “I surrender all” 😭 it makes me cry every time I sing it. I’d love to hear the rest of Sistah Kim’s fav hymn. Buddy blessed me with there is Power power wonder working power pow pow pow pow💥💥💥💥 God bless all of yous.
I love breakfast casseroles. The hymns were great. Dan, you sang my favorite. Love the old time gospel hymns and all the old songs we sang in VBS. Misunderstood lyrics: In I’ve got the Joy, I thought the 3rd verse was “I’ve got the peaches patches understanding down in my heart” instead of “I’ve got the peace that passes understanding”. 😊 I wondered why we were singing about peaches. 😂
Hey Lou and Dan! I love Breakfast anytime! I would have seasoned the Hashbrowns and Eggs before adding them to the cooker and then layered it. Add some onion or onion powder, a little garlic powder and maybe some southwest seasoning or mild peppers to the Hashbrowns! Seasoning your Food before you layer your other foods on top makes it taste so much better! The Casserole looked really good and the Biscuits with a pan full of Gravy would have been really good! You could even put Gravy over the top of this casserole to make it taste really good. I've made Breakfast Casseroles like the one you made and just added more seasonings and Gravy (seperately) over the top with Biscuits and it's so good! My Church still sings from the old old Red Hymn Books! One of my favorites is, "My Name is Written There", "The Old Rugged Cross", "Let Us Have A Little Talk With Jesus", "Precious Memories", and "Just a Closer Walk with Jesus!" I've sang in Church my whole life and know and love all the songs! I've sang at Family Reunions, Revivals, Funerals, and in Church just about every Sunday and Wednesday Nights! I love to sing Praises to my Lord! I wanted to hear PawPaw, (Your Dad) sing his song but hardly got to hear it at all. I wish you Daniel had not interrupted him so much! Don't be rude and do that please. One day, You're going to look back at these Videos and wish you and everyone had been quieter so Sweet PawPaw could have finished his song! I'm not fussing at you or being mean or rude, just speaking from my own heart and wishing my large family and kids had been more respectful to our Daddy n Mama when it came to them speaking and singing! There were 4 generations of your Family there and while your Daddy sang his song, He didn't have the opportunity or respect he should have had from the Family. Even the small children should be taught to be quiet when PawPaw and Gigi speaks or sings or any adult! Time is short and y'all will Treasure the Precious Memories you'll have of Dad and Mom! I loved this Video because of the singing! Y'all should all get together and Bud play the Guitar and sit in the yard and sing Gospel songs together! My family plays Guitars, Piano, Bass, Drums, and a Trumpet! I have one of the largest families in Georgia and we have our Family Reunions at a big Park that we have to Rent so everyone will fit. Everybody Cooks, Bakes, BBQ'S, cuts Fruits, makes Ice Cream, you name it, We have it there to eat! Tons of Food, Everybody brings their Music, Games for all the Kids, Family seeing family they haven't seen in a few years or met for whatever reason and there's so much LOVE in one place and Happiness to see each other! We Pray for the ones that we've lost or is sick. When we all start Singing it's like the most Amazing time happens! You can feel the Holy Spirit spread all across that Park! It's a big ole Jubilee.... Families need to gather together and Eat, Sing, and Share the Love and Memories! Y'all would love it if y'all did that! Don't say you don't have time because, You Do! Take the Time, or Make Time! Time is all we all have! PawPaw and Gigi ain't gonna be around forever! Sing Praises to the Lord! No Partying just Good Ole Family Time Together! I love y'all... God Bless. 🙏🙏❤❤
Great video Dan & Lou! I love a good breakfast anytime. My favorite church hymns are On the Old Rugged Cross & Just As I Am. Always sang them with my grandma. 🥰
Thank you for your song Dan. It was the last song I ever heard my sister sing. It brought a smile and a tear. All of the songs were good. I just love the family time. I miss those days. We don’t do that much any more
Good Morning Dan & Lou! I am enjoying the crockpot recipes. I love using my crockpot. So easy, 1 pot…& letting it go without a lot of watching. Many times I will get a dinner ready in the morning…& turn my crockpot on low. When, I come home…my dinner is ready. Sometimes, only noodles, mashed potato, rice or garlic bread need to be made to accompany my recipe. I love it. Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 “Amazing Grace” is one of my old favourites.
Loved hearing all the hymns! Everyone sang beautifully. I could have listened to PawPaw sing more of "Why me." He has a beautiful voice! My favorite is "Because He Lives."
How wonderful this video! Every person in the room could sing. This is a great way to keep the family connected. Marrow Hill is an amazing place to raise a family. God Bless all of you.
How great thou art. Beautiful. I remember my mom singing that so often growing up. She's passed away now but was a trained singer and that one calls to me
This was fun as always!😊 My favorite song is not a church hymn, but from the musical “Godspell”. My parents would take me to see it as often as possible and I loved it. The song was called “By My Side”, and it’s about walking with Jesus.😊❤
I really loved this video. I really enjoy y’all cooking, and having your precious family there to share…and I have too many favorite songs from the hymnal and I have been singing praise and worship songs for several years …❤❤❤
How great thou art and the lords my shepherd bless you all love you UK. Dan the bread looks from the shop got all the same shape lol, same as Pawpaw doses in his oven .
Dan that is the first hymn that came to my mind! I sing in my church’s choir and there are so many favorites however “It is well with my soul” is a really good one!😊
In the Garden and Down to the River to Pray are two of my favorites. I also love What a Friend We Have in Jesus because it was my Grandpa's favorite hymn and it always reminds me of him when i hear it.
My favorite hymn is Amazing Grace. I can't sing well at all, but that one always comes to me any time I need a hymn or talking to Him or in times of sadness.
Hi Dan and Lou, I like the breakfast casserole but I don't know about in the crock pot. I think it cooks better in the 9x13 maybe it's just a mental thing lol. If you've ever made just the smaller version it also has bread or biscuits broken up to kind of absorb the liquid part of the eggs etc. as for my favorite hymnal song it has to be, The Old Rugged Cross... That has been my favorite and touched my heart since I was a child. My grandma sang in the church choir and my mom and her sister used to sing on the radio when they were kids. I even have vinyl records that my grandma made, she had a beautiful voice as did my mom and aunt. As for us five kids we couldn't carry a tune and a bucket lol You have my vote to end each week with y'all singing your favorite hymnals. Thank you all for another great week, much love 💜
Love the singing...it is sad that more ppl sing only contempary only and repeat and repeat 😔 when the roll is called up yonder!!! One of my favorites and when those texas voices of yours sang..so did I ...brought tears to my eyes...plz do more❤
I really like a potato casserole for breakfast. Hashbrowns with eggs, ham, sausage gravy. My favorite hymns are old rugged cross, then walk with thee. There are several hymns that bring back memories of my grandma singing and making cinnamon rolls every weekend.
My favorite song from our Lutheran hymnal was a song we sang during Communion called “Just as I am without one plea”. Lyrics… Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidd'st me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Really enjoying this one pot series. So glad everyone is enjoying too. My favourite hymn is The Servant King. Gets me every time. Have a great day. Take care God bless. 🙏💕🧑🏻🍳😎
PawPaw has such an awesome baritone voice! I wish we could have heard him sing all of ‘Why Me Lord’. I believe Kris Kristofferson wrote that song. I have a boatload of favorite hymns but I ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘I Surrender All’ are a couple of my favorites. The choir used to sing ‘I Surrender All’ as people would go to the alter. Another favorite is ‘Beulah Land’ Such a beautiful song!!❤
Hey y'all. I don't have a favorite song but I want to thank you for bringing up some memories from being a little girl going to church with my grandparents. The warship leader would put the page numbers for the songs we were going to sing that morning so everyone would be prepared. I always wanted to look them up first, I always had to have my own book, to see if any of them were songs that I liked. My favorites were always the ones that had separate verses for the men and women or went in a round. I sure miss them! Thanks y'all for sharing your family with me. It breaks up the quiet of an empty house.
That was the first time I've actually heard PawPaw sing. He has an amazing singinv voice! No wonder there's so many good singers in your family, both your parents are gifted! ❤
Well I have too many lol. How Great Thou Art. Amazing Grace, In The Garden. What can I say I Love To Praise the Lord. There are so many that I love so the list goes on. Let everything that has Breath Praise the Lord.
How Great Thou Art makes me cry. One of my first funerals I went to as a child for my grandfather it was sung at the gravesite as the casket was lowered down and family members were crying. Even now, 60 years later, I can’t sing the hymn

I have 2 favorites. I’ll Fly Away & Mansion Over The Hilltop. I've got a mansion just over the hilltop In that bright land where we'll never grow old And some day yonder we'll never more wander But walk on streets that are purest gold
I’m a church girl. Actually pastors wife of AOG church in Raymore. You just finished my favorite video. We still sing a few of the oldies hymns mixed with a few new ones. (Trying to keep everybody happy)🤦♀️ I think I can say my favorite is Blessed assurance. I love lettin it loose and belting out the chorus. THIS IS MY STORY, THIS IS MY SONG. ❤️👏❤️👏🙏 Praising my Saviour ALL the day long! ❤
Dan and Lou, I love all your videos cooking videos are just so much fun to watch.❤ My church doesn’t sing the old hymns very often anymore either, we don’t even have hymnals. I like the new songs, but I love the old hymns too. By the way, the big pan you’re using to cook isn’t a crockpot. It’s called a roaster oven. It’s a lot different than a crockpot.
The Old Rugged Cross is my favorite!
I started crying when Bri started singing how great thou art. It was my grandma‘s favorite song and I can just hear her beautiful voice singing. I loved this video ❤
Amazing Grace is, has been, and always will be my favorite hymn.
In the Garden- it calms me, and brings a vivid picture to my mind. It reassures me that He’s right there, by my side. Prayers always ♥️🙏♥️

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Good Morning Daniel n Lou!.. I went to Catholic school from Kdg- 8th gd. n had mass every morning before class plus Sundays with family when I was growing up. HALLELUJAH is one of my fav's.! 💞🙏

I have 2 favorites. I’ll Fly Away & Mansion Over The Hilltop.
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And some day yonder we'll never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold
My dad’s favorite song and he told us that was a song that he wanted sung at his funeral.
Amazing grace, and How great thy art.
I sang along with you Dan. It's wonderful when the family sings together. Too bad Gigi wasn't there.
