Kids learning to do laundry is great. How to do laundry was usually printed on inside lid of washer. Tried to explain to my kids. They have favorite shirts n jeans n all I heard. Was when you gonna wash my jeans etc. so took them by the hands n showed the instructions on lid n walked away. There were a lot of little loads but single working mom 2 jobs. Saved my sanity.

All of my adult children have thanked me for teaching them how to do laundry, clean and cook. They said it made it so much easier when they left home and began adulting. None of their roommates knew how to do the simplest of things and they had to teach them.

Good for you teaching the children to do their own laundry. I found my grands throw less things in the wash that aren't even worn...now they do their own. But please tell them you will wash anything 'special' especially blacks and whites.

Anyway, since you are using dryer sheets, please pull the screen out and wash with hot soapy water about once a month or so because the dryer sheets actually put off a film that sticks to the screen. Love your family.
Great job, Elora! I lived with my dad since I was 12 and he simply wrote down what temperature to use with what kind of clothes, taped the note to the wall above the washer, and let me figure out the rest for myself, lol. There were so many buttons to push, and knobs to turn... it was a nightmare, lol. Took me about a year to remember everything. Fingers crossed that the roof repair can finally start and will be finished without further delays.

I just had a kitchen ceiling fixed from a leak. The worst part about it was when you have to sand creates that dust all over my case with the kitchen.. then it’s blending in the finishing with the rest of the wall and then painting mine needed two coats. I don’t envy you having to do it. I had to hire someone.🥰❤️

Hey Buddy, I recently had trouble with my dryer, it was taking 2+hrs to dry a medium load of clothes. The serviceman came out & took the back panel off & I was shocked how much lint had accumulated over all the airholes & hose vent. He said if you use softener liquid or sheets it causes gunk to form to the lint basically smothering your dryer vents. The heating element had been changed last year as it was an old dryer. It heated like brand new until a couple of years ago when it died completely & utterly, now I have to hang clothes because I don't have the funds to replace it. Just wanted to share that little info. Elora is growing up so fast, have ya'll not taught her how to sort colors from whites, just asking. 😊❤

Family mess, family clean up.. Growing up (years ago) in the far north it was common to get married between 14 and 16 and if you weren't married by 18, you were an old maid.. At that age the young ladies were perfectly capable of running a household.. How things have changed.
I had 3 kids, girls, and, of course, my husband and myself. The laundry I used to do was crazy. So you didn't teach her to sort her laundry, whites, colors, and darks?
One thing I found out the hard way of washing my own clothes is you don't put anything red in with any other colors because anything white will turn pink.
