Training Bella to walk on a leash. When i have a pup in training that “needs encouraging” to walk on a leash, I use a wooden spoon with peanut butter smeared on it and hold it in front of their nose. Start walking slow, no pressure on leash. 99% of the time this trick works.

Charley passed from diabetic complications. She spoiled me terribly. I need a new dog but I don't have a reason for those incredibly intelligent pups and I just don't think I'd be happy with anything less. ❤

Gary - I see Bella seriously respects her invisible fence (IF). I have a Pyrenees/border collie who’s a runner, and i’m contemplating an IF or a physical fence. I was leaning towards the latter, because I was not sure the IF would work with this breed of dog, but pleasantly surprised to see how well Bella (who’s obviously a herding (hi energy, hi prey drive) breed), respects her boundaries. Do you have a video that I may have missed about the IF?
That’s one downside of having pet insurance for having hunting dogs, insurance doesn’t allow self administered annual shots. But the insurance sure does pay off for severe injuries.
